Bought your book and blown away. I was terrified. When I was a kid I had a desire to learn to play the piano but my parents said we cannot afford lessons or instruments... so never learnt any music and once I finished school I went to work. Never had time... now my little girl wanted to learn... It took me a while and managed to find a teacher so she only just started lessons. She's only 6. She received a gift, a melodica from a friend of mine in the US. Now I bought your book and we are learning together and it feels like a childhood dream just got picked up, dusted off and magic pixie dust is making it fly. We are playing together and loving your way of teaching. I didn't know if I could do it but you make it so easy. Thank you ❤ lots of love from Latvia 🇱🇻 from Minka & Minka's mummy ❤❤❤

      @@MelodicaWorld Hi Daren!
I have just let a review in Amazon. In a few, they will publish it. I have done all the lessons of your book in the standard way (with the melodica on a table in front of me). But now, I want to improve myself doing the same with the melodica in vertical position (with the Japanese position). Do you think it's a good idea to try to get this technique? I heard you say in a video that it's the best way (tip 10).
Some musicians used the thumb in the left hand, others not (you said in this video that the thumb of the left hand hold the melodica), I'm trying to use the 5 fingers on my left hand, doing technical exercises to improve it. Do you think it's better to use the thamb on the left hand or not?

Hey Daren, I got my melodica 4 days ago and I'm practicing as much as I can. The problem I have is water getting into the pipe. I have to take out the pipe and blow it every now and then to get the water out... So I tried playing with the smaller mouthpiece you get, but the problem with that is I really cant see the notes while I'm practicing. Playing songs which I've practiced for a long time is fairly easy, but songs which I've just started practicing is hard to play with the small mouthpiece. Do you only use the small mouthpiece or also use the pipe? Thanks
