Dubois needs to fight people who fight back, knocking over tomato cans will teach him nothing. When he eventually fights a real fighter he'll get slaughtered. Put it this way, imagine Daniel against Evander Holyfield at his peak, it would be a one-sided massacre. HE NEEDS REAL OPPONENTS.

Top 10 is, outside of top3: Whyte,Ortiz, Ruiz, Usyk,Pulev,Povetkin,Chisora,Kownacki,Parker, those guys... Above that still some guys can still give him a hard time like indeed Hrgovic, Ajagba, Hunter, Rivas, Joyce, Hughie Fury etc... So yea they should be able to get a better opponent for sure!
AJ's early career on Sky were all mismatches Daniel durbois is BT Sports AJ lol. Nobody can argue that this guy has power and will one day be a world champion.
But AJ fought better guys than Fujimoto and Tetteh, he fought well known journeymens. Christian Hammer would be a good test for Dubois. Not a risky fight, as I doubt Hanmer can trouble him but he is durable. He went the distance with both Povetkin and Ortiz, he was Totally outclassed by Povetkin I remember.
This wasn't a fight. It was more like one guy bullying another. Pathetic. No-one learns anything from a session like this, it just adds numbers to the record. Shameful in a sport that wants to have integrity.

He's not ready for a title fight yet, the lads only gone ten rounds once, against elite fighters he'd run the risk of gassing out, he needs at least 3 or 4 fights to continue his development and get more rounds under his belt.
This Warren always puts down Hearn and his cards but he puts on many a great show whereas Warren only ever puts on this kind of mismatched garbage.

Dubois has boxed only 41 rounds in 14 bouts: that's an average of 2.9 rounds per bout . He obviously needs some serious exercise against some serious opponents. His stamina has not been tested - neither has his chin. Time will tell, but I'm not yet convinced he'll be on the world level. Look what happened to David Price after-all.
He looked like he was blowing after the first round aswell. Definitely think Joyce would beat him at this point.
Frank using the same matchmaking method he's always used; low risk mismatches, stay active, lobby the governing body and then hope they can jump up several levels on the big day. Not that it worked for Yarde

Dubois has a great potential but the level of opposition is terrible. He isn't tested yet.His promoter isn't doing him any good.
He's only fighting people who have absolutely no chance of beating him. Terrence Crawford would probably KO most of the guys Daniel's fought. This is doing him no good at all. When the time comes when he needs to ACTUALLY FIGHT, he won't know how to.

Kyotaro is actually not as terrible as many guys think. He did very good against Tyrone Spong in a K-1 fight. But yeah, I am not surprised by the outcome.

@@andrewkemp2097 at this point in time shogun is old and slow. Even with pride rules, Dubois with 4oz gloves. All he needs to do is land once. He could learn how to stuff a takedown in a 6 week training camp and shogun isn't known for his wrestling anyways. Dubois kos shogun under any rules.

Genuine question. Does anyone really rate Dubois? I think it is fair to say that the best fighters are always quick-witted, however, Dubois appears really ponderous and really rather dim. There can be no doubt he possess one helluva punch but are the lights on? Am I being too harsh and showing my ignorance?

While this match is indeed a big Mismatch. Fujimoto was actually a Heavyweight World Champion in K-1 Kickboxing before going into Boxing. Was really well known for his punching ability there too. But this is another example of how coming from another combat sport into boxing just doesn't work. Goes the other way around too. The only Kickboxers i know of who had done well in Boxing were Vitali Klitschko and Tex Cobb

@@jayriley9828 Your forgetting Joshua was age 26 when he won his first major pro belt IBF against Charles Martin. Dubois is still only age 22 and looks better than Joshua was at age 22.
Back in 2016 three of the belts were split up after Fury went into semi retirement. It was much easier for Joshua to fight Martin and Parker for the belts than it is these days for a upcoming talent like Dubois.
