This performance took place in 2018, when he was invited back as a guest for the finale episode of the show "The Singer", in which he took part as a competitor back in 2017. This song choice and the Chinese and Kazakh inserts were a salute to the fans he had acquired after he competed in 2017. ( "Wǒ ài nǐ" (Chinese) and "Men seni süyemin" (Kazakh) at the end. Last whisper was "Fēicháng gǎnxiè" (Chinese) = Thank you so much). His Chinese fanbase is very close to his heart, as they were very sweet, supportive and enthusiastic, and helped making his name known internationally. The blue microphone that you can see in "Stranger" (Shine Brothers) is a gift from the fans, engraved with his name, and he always uses it when he goes back to China for a performance. Throughout the years, his Chinese Dears put his face on an ad in Times Square more than once, put his name on a star in the Andromeda Galaxy (with the help of Name A Star Live project), and they followed him around the world to attend his concerts, wearing the famous LED signs with "Dimash" and "Dear", which, again, they came up with :)) And they made his first album "iD" become triple platinum in China in the first hour :) Thank you for being on youtube, I love your videos, and love your style of analysis 👍
Nostalgia is a very important thing in a person's life and many people choose the original version because of that, so maybe no one should even cover it. But I'm interested in something else. If you cover the original, should you perform it the same as the original (to me it looks like an imitation) or should you adapt it to yourself and your capabilities and your understanding of the song? I love your comments and watch them exclusively when it comes to Dimash (sorry) Happy New Year to you and your family😻
It's a very good question@@djiljanakanacki8684 to which there is no right answer! I can see plenty of good reasons for both sides of the argument - is the amount you change up the original in your cover directly correlated to a lack of respect for the original? I don't think so; I think covering a song is a huge display of respect and admiration in itself and, of course, recognition. Whether or not the original artists themselves see it that way is a different matter
Hello Sir, thank you for your reaction to Dimash! ❤ This is what Dimash does with a frankly boring & easy (and to me quite cheesy) song. I feel the longing. Introspective, almost mourning for being unseen. Whether it is for someone who doesn't see him, or someone he can't see anymore. Elements of mysticism, understatement, coupled with Dimash's awesome vocals, create unique emotions. My instinctive response was that he is inside his own head - he is not really talking to anyone but himself. At the Arabic melismas he speaks to more than one person from somewhere else, maybe a call from afar. Dimash’s arrangement of Hello connects different cultures seamlessly. It’s stunning powerful, simple in its expression of complexity. So beautiful. Adding the Sybyzgy flute is brilliant. Dimash has worked on this arrangement of the song together with Erlan Bekchurin, so it’s totally his vision of this legendary hit. How does Dimash integrate all these different ethnic elements into his performances, not just okay, but amazingly, astoundingly well? Not just his own ethnic background, but quite several other ones too? I mean, you realize how well he mastered and went above and beyond those runs. Maybe we can explain it from the fact that Kazakhs are branches of the Turkic main trunk, which are close to the Arab culture, and so Dimash might have heard this type of runs as he was growing up. We so adore watching the uninitiated indulge in the pleasure of a new Dimash performance, and this one is a transformation of the original as to no longer remember, or care much, how the original sounded. This is the new standard! Dimash’s interpretation of Hello is a melting pot of different culture’s music elements - it is so unique and electrifying and made it a signature style of his own. It is most important to remember: Dimash always looks for complexity and always tries to connect different things together. Here, as almost always, he combines between East and West, Classical singing and contemporary singing and ethnic singing. He combines cultures from all over the world, different Genres, different Languages, different Genders (by singing his super highs and low) and so on. Dimash’s ultimate wish is to connect between people, and he does it through music.
Thank you so much for your detailed reaction, for your thorough comments. I love reactions from people like you who can almost teach us as well as react. Please don’t stop commenting. It not only helps to understand music a bit more, but it helps us to, at least a bit, get into the artists head & heart. I am a Dimash dear no so appreciate you and your reaction. God bless you. 😊👍

On the contrary, the original really touched me and for many years this song was one of my favorites. But what Dimash sang is much more, his version is so powerful, incredible and amazing!
Nice reaction! 👍 Dimash made Hello his own, the music arrangement is beautiful!!! The flute called Sybyzgy - made of reeds or wood 50-70 cm with 3-5 holes, is particularly common in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The instrument was popular with shepherds, although difficult to play, and was also used by storytellers, in this case perfect for Dimash who is a master of storytelling …. ❤️🔝🎤🌹🌹👏👏👏👏👏
The instrument (flute-like) is a sybyzgy. Beautiful sound! The instrumental arrangements that Dimash chooses are excellent. Dimash is soooooo good!! Musical frisson always! Bravo Dimash!! 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
Thanks to Dimash, our knowledge in the world of music is expanding more and more. 😊 It is very nice to see that people with the help of Dimash learn about musical instruments of the Kazakh people.
I truly love your analysis and reaction to this piece. All of your reactions and analysis of Dimash are fantastic. Thank You Thank You so very much. Please keep up the great work.
THANKS for your reactions to Dimash!!!!……This performance is the Singer Chinese program in 2018 where Dimash was invited. Using folk arrangements like “Sybyzgi”, beautiful Kazakh wind instrument; Dimash skillfully mixes Eastern and Western styles, a bit of Kazakh folklore in between, creating a unique and mind-blowing ending. The last sentence of the song Dimash says "Wö-ai-ni" is “I love you” in Mandarin, out of respect for China. the phrase that speaks at the end are “Thanks” and “I love you”. At the end crazy high notes A5/D5 for 17 sec. ….saludos desde México…..🥰😍🔥❤️👏🏻🇲🇽🇰🇿
At the end of the second verse, Dimash sings "I love you" in Mandarin ("Wo ai ni") to the Chinese audience, and again in the third verse, adding "Men (I) seni (you) suyemin(love)" in Kazakh, before whispering "Thank you very much" in Mandarin at the end. Dimash beautifully incorporates Middle Eastern (Armenian, Turkish, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Kazakh) runs in the song.
Another excellent reaction and analysis. Dimash's rendition of Lionel Richie’s "Hello" was a guest performance on "I am a Singer 2018"; he was not competing that year. At the end of the second verse, Dimash sang "I love you" in Mandarin ("Wo ai ni") to the Chinese audience, and again in the third verse, adding "I love you" in Kazakh, before whispering "Thank you" in Mandarin at the end. Dimash beautifully incorporates Middle Eastern (Armenian, Turkish, Arabic, Azerbaijanian, Kazakh) runs in the song. His friend, Erlan Bekchurin, did the musical arrangement for this performance, as well as most of his other arrangements. The flute is called a sybyzgy, a traditional Kazakh flute, and precursor to the modern flutes. This is my favorite rendition of the song; even better than the original in my humble opinion.
The story of one sky When l’ve got you - просматривается любовь Димаша к творчеству Майкла Джексона
Thank you for your reaction Dimash Is phenomenal a genious i.m a Canadian soprano living in Italy from Pavarotti school i am on you tube thank you again
Dimash is singing in English but he still doesn’t speak it at the time. He started learning English later. Now he speaks English. He getting better at it every year. At the end of the song, he says “I love you” in Mandarin. That’s why the sudden reaction. The producers asked Dimash back to “Singer” as a guest performer in 2018. 😊
Yes, I remember exactly where and with who I was when I heard this song for the first time. Very romantic song indeed. I prefer the original version by far. Thank you for this reaction.
Thanks for your insightful comments. I have listened to Dimash's 'Hello' countless times because his singing just moves me... it actually grabs me by the throat and I stop breathing for moments. I don't know why, I just know what I feel and you're shedding some light on how the music is arranged. Thank you again.
Thank you for this, how kind of you ☺ I'm sure you're not the only one who feels that way (just make sure to remember to continue breathing afterwards!😂)
Constantly amazed by your professional analysis! You must have quite a background in music. Thanks for continuing to react to Dimash as it gives me a better insight into his songs. You’re remarkable. Again, thanks!
Please react to Dimash and Li YuGang and drunken concobine and diva dance. Li YuGang is an also talented man which ist train to sind the female parts in the Chinese opera
Dear Sir Hairless, I really enjoy your reactions to Dimash very much! You add so much musical knowledge about the arrangements, which I find fascinating. greetings from South Africa.
I love for your every reaction of Dimash’s song and just realize that I become so addicted into it by checking whether you have posted any new Dimash’s reaction everyday! 😂. Hahaha..what a silly attitude, isn’t it? Because your reaction just so pure, no fake expressions and not overdone, very informative and even you add some illustration as a comparison. Love…love it! Please do more reaction of Dimash’s song, you still have plenty on the list including the new ones. Greetings from Bali, Indonesia 👋🏼🙏🏻
I also find myself checking every day for a Dimash reaction. Your knowledge, explanations, insight and genuine interest is very refreshing. I love that you research and inform yourself and share that with us. Thank you for the once a week info update.
❗His family is as famous for their DECADES of quiet, unpublicized acts of charity as they are for their music talent. A stranger across the street recently recognized his father driving a large commercial van. He started filming as Kanat turned into the parking lot of a home for the elderly and pulled up to the rear door. All the doors opened and the whole family, including Dimash, piled put and unloaded and carried in, back and forth the entire contents of the cargo van, packed to the roof with boxes and bags of groceries and left. The public loves to film them in the act and post it, they do it so quietly and it's almost impossible to "catch" them. Teachers and caregivers hiding behind curtains whispering as they're filming, hilarious ! They are beloved.
@@SirHairless Thanks, Sir, an American I grew up there and tho he receives international attention, his family is representative of a nation that is family and child centric. Dimash lives traditionally, the extended family under one roof, they don't leave home before marriage and the men bring their brides home to live. Every child from birth is surrounded by love, each interest, no matter how many, encouraged and nurtured by the extended family, school and community. Steeped in their culture and traditions, passionate about their nation, the majority of the country walks the walk and they thrive !
Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. great reraction and analysis ... Dimash is to me the best singer in the world... I have been a subscriber to your channel for a month a so and I really enjoy listening to you analyzing Dimash and his talent and skill... great job...
I see that you like different, creative singers. But there is a singer who was out of this planet. She had a divine gift. Her name, Yma Sumac. The song "chuncho" makes you think she wasn't human.🇦🇷
I love this version as the eastern twist is as you mentioned very unique and Dimash has showcased his vocal skills even in a pop song where it’s not so obvious to find these techniques. Thank you for your reaction 😊
I like this arrangement I like the accompanied music. I truly appreciate his passion. Amazing performance. I'm always waiting to see what he does next. Well done analysis as usual👍
Superbo e insuperabile, sempre. Saluti from Italy
Another cover in English is that of "The Show Must Go On" from Queen - One of my very favourites of Dimash! Very insightful reaction from again this time.
Dimash sang I love you in three different Languages. Of course, English the first time, Chinese the second time, and lastly in Kazakh, his native tongue.
Thank you for reacting to this performance ❤ Not all flutes are held to one side. Many different flutes are held in front. Irish flutes more famously are front held. This flute in this performance is a sybyzgy which is an instrument from Kyrgyzstan.
Thanks for watching! Yes, I was referring to the standard western flute 🎶 I also thought Irish flutes are played sideways? live update: I was intrigued as I was writing my comment so I took a quick trip onto Google. Perhaps you mean the Irish whistle? This website has some good info on the differences! blog.mcneelamusic.com/5-things-you-didnt-know-about-the-tin-whistle/ We learn something new every day ey! Thanks for letting me know about the sybyzgy - I daren't try to say it 😅
The flute and musician are both featured in Samaltau, Tokyo Jazz Festival version (hint, hint) I believe is is a traditional shepherd's instrument.@@SirHairless
Others have informed me it is the sybyzgy. They look similar to me (from a Google search) but it seems the xiao is played in the centre of the mouth, whereas the sybyzgy is off to the side?
Great reaction, amazing amount of descriptive words and accurate terminology. Subjectively, i enjoyed the attention to detail, the respect and ability to understand dimash''s stylistic choices and references to his personal ability and overall ability of being one of the best singers the world has ever seen/heard. You've earned a sub
❤❤❤ Great Reaction He’s a master of arrangements and a music Genious and Legend already besides being the most incredible singer & performer 🙌 You must watch all his covers, always nails it , show must Go on, all by my self …. For New instruments and awesome tradicional song “Salmatau” in Tokio Jazz Festival ( watch Ikanaide in that festival for different reasons)

The story of one sky When l’ve got you - просматривается любовь Димаша к творчеству Майкла Джексона
Thank you for your reaction Dimash Is phenomenal a genious i.m a Canadian soprano living in Italy from Pavarotti school i am on you tube thank you again
🙌
Dimash is singing in English but he still doesn’t speak it at the time. He started learning English later. Now he speaks English. He getting better at it every year. At the end of the song, he says “I love you” in Mandarin. That’s why the sudden reaction. The producers asked Dimash back to “Singer” as a guest performer in 2018. 😊
At the end he says men seni suyemin, I love you in Kazakh 😍
Great choice to react to! I’m still waiting for Ikanaide. It’ll blow your mind, but what doesn’t when Dimash sings. ❤
Yes to Ikanaide! 😀✌️
@@revagreen2303it is perfection!
Grande entre los grandes ❤!!! Muchas gracias por vuestra reacción ❤
Original is very good, pleasant and iconic song but I like this cover too. It makes me feel as calling hello to something bigger not to a girl.
Constantly amazed by your professional analysis! You must have quite a background in music. Thanks for continuing to react to Dimash as it gives me a better insight into his songs. You’re remarkable. Again, thanks!
Wow, how generous of you! Thanks so much 😄 I'm very happy to hear you're enjoying the reactions - and expect more Dimash reactions in the future!
Totally agree!
Agree. ❤
Thank you for your informative reaction. What a live performance! Please, please react to Dimash - Adagio, The Singer competition 2017 ❤
Thanks! And that's on my list - just when we'll get round to it I can't say, but it is a fairly frequently-requested one!
Please react to Dimash and Li YuGang and drunken concobine and diva dance. Li YuGang is an also talented man which ist train to sind the female parts in the Chinese opera
Less popular request, but it is my ringtone for years now 😂
😂
Just say it finally man - he’s the best voice in the world 😁 you’re so professional so I know you know it
👀
The 'I love you' he sung after the first in English was in the language he was performing in. One of his loving honors he gives his audiences.
Dear Sir Hairless, I really enjoy your reactions to Dimash very much! You add so much musical knowledge about the arrangements, which I find fascinating. greetings from South Africa.
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them
I love for your every reaction of Dimash’s song and just realize that I become so addicted into it by checking whether you have posted any new Dimash’s reaction everyday! 😂.
Wow, that's great to hear!
Mr. Reactor, I like your look. You are such a dignified gentleman.
Thank you!
You have such informative reactions. Thank you
thanks 🙌
11:43 on the left side there is TENGRI sitting. Famous singer that you could also react to. for example his HEAVEN song is amazing.
Please, Story of one sky live
Vocal rampage... that's a perfect description!
You need to find Dimash singing "Your Love".
great reraction and analysis ... Dimash is to me the best singer in the world... I have been a subscriber to your channel for a month a so and I really enjoy listening to you analyzing Dimash and his talent and skill... great job...
Amazing reaction again. I love to learn more.
Cheers!
So enjoying your analysis of Dimash's music. Please react to his Ikanaide.
I see that you like different, creative singers. But there is a singer who was out of this planet. She had a divine gift. Her name, Yma Sumac. The song "chuncho" makes you think she wasn't human.🇦🇷
Hi, Sir Hairless! The last phrase Dimash said was "非常感謝" (fei chang gan xie) which means "Thank you so much."
Thanks!
At the end he sings I love you in Mandarin, then I love you in Kazakh and ends with thank you in Mandarin.
Bravo Dimash ❤️❤️❤️
I love this version as the eastern twist is as you mentioned very unique and Dimash has showcased his vocal skills even in a pop song where it’s not so obvious to find these techniques. Thank you for your reaction 😊
Passione New Weve 2019
Great reaction Tank You, Dimash Vocal Genius and Musical Mathematician!!!
I like this arrangement I like the accompanied music. I truly appreciate his passion. Amazing performance. I'm always waiting to see what he does next. Well done analysis as usual👍
I never liked this song until I heard Dimash sing it. ❤🦅
Superbo e insuperabile, sempre.
Saluti from Italy
👍👍👍@@Test-qd1lk
Another cover in English is that of "The Show Must Go On" from Queen - One of my very favourites of Dimash! Very insightful reaction from again this time.
Dimash sang I love you in three different Languages. Of course, English the first time, Chinese the second time, and lastly in Kazakh, his native tongue.
Thank you for reacting to this performance ❤
Not all flutes are held to one side.
This website has some good info on the differences! blog.mcneelamusic.com/5-things-you-didnt-know-about-the-tin-whistle/
We learn something new every day ey!
Thanks for letting me know about the sybyzgy - I daren't try to say it 😅
The flute and musician are both featured in Samaltau, Tokyo Jazz Festival version (hint, hint) I believe is is a traditional shepherd's instrument.@@SirHairless
At the end he whispered "非常感謝", "Thank you very much".
Hello from Albania 🇦🇱!! I really love your professional reactions. I think this performance Dimash smashed!! He just personalised...
Thank you 🙌
It looks like your fans are keeping you busy...lol. Aaaaaahhh the demands of popularity. I appreciate your generosity. Thanks. 🤗
❤
Sugestão, reage a Dimash - Your love
Tercera visita a esta magnífica reacción... ¡ Gracias, gracias, GRACIAS !
Hi, im going to keep requesting Know, Passione and Love of the tired swans, hugs from México ✨
This is a traditional flute "xiao".The xiāo is a very ancient Chinese instrument.
Others have informed me it is the sybyzgy. They look similar to me (from a Google search) but it seems the xiao is played in the centre of the mouth, whereas the sybyzgy is off to the side?
Sybyzgy is a transverse flute. (The player blows across the embouchure hole, in a direction perpendicular to the flute's body length.)
DIMASH 😳😲😵💫 a otro nivel 💫✨😵💫🤩😍🥰
😅😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Saludos Chile 🇨🇱
Great reaction, amazing amount of descriptive words and accurate terminology. Subjectively, i enjoyed the attention to detail, the respect and ability to understand dimash''s stylistic choices and references to his personal ability and overall ability of being one of the best singers the world has ever seen/heard. You've earned a sub
Thank you 🙏🏽 I appreciate it

He’s a master of arrangements and a music Genious and Legend already besides being the most incredible singer & performer 🙌
You must watch all his covers, always nails it , show must Go on, all by my self ….
For New instruments and awesome tradicional song “Salmatau” in Tokio Jazz Festival ( watch Ikanaide in that festival for different reasons)
