Hey everyone, I'm back from the dead! Finally got a hold of a new pc, so I can finally get back to making videos again! It's been a minute since I've used flight studio, I'm currently in the process of brushing up on the program. If you have ideas for the next tutorial, I'd love to hear them. I think I may focus on live instrument recording with flowers studio next, what do you think?

How do I make nuances in the beat without starting a whole new pattern? What if I wanted a long keyboard solo that is not a pattern? Basically, can I edit parts of the song in play list mode??!?!??

I've been watching other, more complex tutorial videos, and they just make my eyes glaze over. I have no clue what they're talking about. Thanks for doing just a short lesson with concrete examples. Before watching this, I didn't even know where to begin, but now I know how to start making compositions a reality.

I still get surprised at how many views and comments I find on this video. I have decided the direction of the series I would like to start. I'll be needing to build a new pc and get a few pieces of equipment together before I can start, but ill be going in depth into music theory and how to create your own original music and how to apply that knowledge to fl studio. Please continue learning on your own if it really interested you. I have every intention of making content, I just have to find the time and funds to get back to it. I hope to have more videos started in the coming months. I appreciate everyone patience.

Afrotechmods can you make a tutorial serious for brand new (brand new ... first day) beat makers/ producers and teach the roots of the tracks and mixing and such cause i just started and I really need to catch up

I got FL studio 2 days ago so I don't know any technical words but can someone pleaseeeeeeee help me, why sounds like SiFi and Pure bass 8 keep playing themselves for the rest of the song after their pattern is over? the sound overlaps and it's driving me crazy :( (sorry for my english too!)
You need to use the piano roll instead of the beat-pad. click on it, click piano roll.
But why not more videos?
By far the best tutorial for new F! Studio users . It can be very tricky to get started on FL Studio if you have never used software of this type before . I myself have saved hours of wasted time just by viewing this video a couple of times . Well done DrShankums keep up the great work , cheers Paul

Great tutorial, But I can't seem to make my piano sound hearable. There is no sound when I click on any of the keys, like this. 4:32. What do I do?
it happens to me what i do is just save my project and restart the program

aggelos kokolo Just turn the program off, and use it a different time. It works for me now. I googled it and apparently it's a bug. It worked one night after that I used it.

Thats really what i was looking for, as i was so confused about how to get started with making of a music from scratch as i have no prior knowledge.. every other channel has explained various stuffs but i could'nt find any of them explaining the first music creation which a begineer would create having no knowledge at all. hello and thanks for this amazing guide about beatmaking, but i never tried Fl Studio ...have you created music with BTV? i want to know if Fl Studio is better then BTV? ...because now i'm making my own sick beats only with BTV ...and after that my tracks are uploaded directly on my youtube channel ...and the complete beatmaking studio cost me only $7 and my laptop

4:40, I use the scrub wheel a lot for working out music by ear, if you have the original song in the background playing and are trying to work out the piano roll notes over the top of it, there is a lot of stopping and starting, the scrub wheel is great because it lets you stay on the piano roll screen without having to click on the playlist to check what you have done so far. Great tool for people like me.

Just a quick update:
My car was recently totaled, and I've been spending all my time and money dealing with the insurance company and working extra shifts to cover the costs of a new car...and new computer! I'm having major issues with my current PC, so I'll be able to resume progress of the next tutorial fairly soon. I'm no FL studio guru, but I do have pretty decent knowledge of the program. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I will be trying to cover as many of the FAQs as I can.

Thank YOU, for this TUT-orial. Just spent money on FL studio and it was kind of like someone dumped a bunch of stuff into a program and said "alright here ya go" which is nice, but I do not know how to use the stuff dump. This gave me an excellent idea of FL studio's workflow!
