Thanks for sharing between the lines. Watching your family and all your adventures inspired my husband and I at ages 57 and 61 to get our first travel trailer and start working from the trailer and traveling more and visiting our grandchildren. So far we’ve been to two state parks and been able to work both weeks from the park. Probably would have never done this without the example that we have seeing through your videos. Again thank you thank you thank you. We have a Lance.
You know, travel vids are a dime a dozen. Not that I don’t enjoy yours because I’m on here every Sunday night waiting for your new one. But this one is SO MUCH FUN!!! ( to steal a phrase!). I so enjoyed seeing your real life and seeing how you spend daily time. Please do more of these. This was a WIN!
This was great. You’re true followers love this type of video ! Not just the zip lines, restaurants and tourist attractions but the reality of the adventure you’re on. Share more like this...
Reinforces that "everyone" has those moments when things (stinky slinky) don't go exactly right; but, you roll with the punches. This was a fun video; laughed at so much of it (especially, Carson's lessons learned while hiking in the rain). Do more of these, even though they're extra work, please. Y'all Be Safe!
This episode could win an award for the most laughs! I'm tempted to watch it again and note when I laughed, because the laughs seemed so evenly timed! And, sorry Trish, I love the Thurston Howell voice too! God bless everyone and safe travels!
OMG, I laughed myself silly. The sewer hose flailing around was hysterical! Keeping it real is keeping it great so more of these real life episodes would be wonderful!
We just purchased our first RV (a 1997 Born Free 26 ft) so we could travel with our 6 dogs and 1 cat (the largest animal is our cat who weighs 12 pounds!). We have been so encouraged watching your videos and must say you are our favorite RVing family. No nasty language, no inappropriate discussions, etc. Thank you for inspiring us to keep our daydream! Our journey starts on this Friday, and we are planning to visit many of the places you have shared in your videos as we cross the upper US and then follow the east coast down to Florida and off across the bottom of the US and back home, to the State of Washington!
Of all the episodes this is one of the highlights because it shows RV living IRL. It’s not all glamour shots and exotic locations, it’s the hours driving, struggling to find that right spot to park and taking care of the essentials. Thanks for this behind the scenes episode!
Your "between the episodes" episode was more entertaining than many featured episodes by others. My two favorite parts .... 1) calling out the women who approaches and stands in front of the camera while you're filming the time lapse (one of my pet peeves). It happens more than it should. 2) it takes you about 5 minutes to catch Trish with the ponytail mustache .... the look on her face was priceless :-) And I loved Trish's "between the episodes" arm sign language. I miss playing "what time is it" :-)
What really happens in between, loved it. Parenting idea was great and don't hang on to moving rocks, priceless. Thanks for sharing. Have fun and stay safe.
Mike Butler. Best episode EVER ! Been watching you guys about a year or so. I love watching Mark especially when he screws up and how he laughs at himself I'M the same way. I'm 67 now about to hit the road building a house has turned into more than I wanted so I'm going to RV full time a few years. Leaving the hose cap off dragging down the road is something I would do. I've gotten so forgetful I have to check things over and over! Please show more " IN BETWEEN THE EPISODES" LOL
This is one of my most favorite videos you guys have ever done. It was SO MUCH FUN! I also appreciated your comments about the gloves. My personal opinion is that wearing the gloves can be much less sanitary than not, because you need to touch so many other things while wearing the gloves (or else use 5 pairs/dump). Just do a good job washing your hands after every “nasty touch”, and continue on with clean hands for other business. I’m aware not everyone will agree, and that you’ll get the “evil eye” from many bystanders... but, you gotta keep it real!
Marc I think it is a compliment to you and your family that each episode is so smooth and well put together that the occasional sewer hose mishap doesn't make you the new Griswolds! Lol
This video was OFF THE CHAIN !!!! We loved it .... we found ourselves saying ...they are back !!!! Season 1 all over again but different ... don’t mistake us though .... we love everything you guys put out there for us ... but this was special !!! Keep up the awesome work you guys do and be safe !!!
I ❤️this episode!! Complete with Rainex, no less! Seriously, I have often wondered how those “down days” go when you are not off on an amazing adventure. Do more of these videos!
WOW! Thank you KYD for this episode - Between The Lines, with your suave announcer delivery. Wife Patty and I are months away from starting our full-time RV life, and watching your day-to-day is just as inspiring as your life-shares, fabulous outings and recommended must-dos. I'm watching and taking notes on how to capture the moments, edit and kick off a yt channel of our own. But seeing how you clean, care for and handle the not-so-pleasant parts of tRVelling is great. Looking forward to the next episode, where the stinky slink makes a comeback! LOL Thank You ~ plantaceed
Great episode! So many moments that are completely relatable for a large segment of your audience. A bit more of this, just in your regular episodes, may even increase your already impressive subscription rate. We enjoyed the fishing trip & dinner with you & the boys. Having spent that time I can confirm what your fans already know; you guys are all just as down to earth and as fun as this video illustrated. Looking forward to our next opportunity to hang out, wherever that may be!
I loved this episode everybody knows it’s not all rainbows and kittens when your camping! Marc, I love your sarcasm at the dump station it was priceless.
One of my favorite episodes! It’s great seeing you guys enjoy new places- but your relationships and interactions with each other is what I love to see! Thanks for giving us a sneak peek!
Two tips, 1. Attach your disposable glove box and some hand sanitizer to the lid of your pass through on the convenience center. 2. Drill a small hole through your hose storage cap including the bumper. You can secure the cap and the hose with a single piece of rigid wire bent at the top and inserted down through the bumper and the cap. Works great! Learned both tips from other RVrs.
When you turned to your windshield, I thought oh man it's cracked then I realized oh that's my screen. I really like the day in the life videos. Shows that your normal doing normal stuff. So thanks for sharing.
What an optimist Trish is... Sunglasses perched on top of Her head in the last scene...Silly Girl your in Seward no sunglasses necessary. Love the in between episode video, particularly the sewer hose drag was classic life in the day of RVERS 😎
Awesome! I don't have kids, let alone teenagers! I love seeing you interact with your kids, and everything you are so mindful of teaching them! Thanks for sharing your family's journey!
Real, every day stuff like at a sticks and bricks but with the added travel planning, dump stations, finding groceries, etc.. though always with new views and experiencing awsome adventures in your journeys! Great stuff guys! Always praying for your safety and for those earthly angels to help block traffic or to do whatever is needed!
I really like the behind the scenes because it shows the real RV challenges. For someone ready to do this in a year, that is what is helpful. Always enjoy spending Sunday with you all!
This BTE is the best! Yes, indeed, camping is NOT always glamorous! Love the way you decided to show us the other side of the voyage! Sometimes, nothing works, and all you can do is stay put, wait, rest & digest :-). And then, things pick up and you can be back on your way! Love the idea & the videos again. Thank you for this moment of honesty! We had a great time watching!!! Trish, you seemed tired! Are they driving you mad? hahaha. Boys will be boys I guess! Safe travel back! We can't wait to go see this beautifull place! Remi from Montréal!
Loved this episode, I think many of your viewers will feel the same and probably in part because it’s different than the usual. Love that you’re using my RV Lock trick, press and hold for 3 seconds (I was the only one right!?!) and I LOL’d at the “hot 45 second shower” comment. I could go on...
This was absolutely wonderful. Life is not perfect and as wonderful as you and your family are this shows your just as human as the rest of us. Thank you loved it.
IMHO, ALL KYD videos are fun. I am enjoying being a fly on the wall with KYD and I always learn something new! About the Seward time lapse, placing the camera high up on the ladder prevents people from standing in front of it.
Thanks for sharing your everyday routines. I'm not an RVer but love to live vicariously through your videos. I get to places each week I probably will never see in person.
"There's a rope - that changes everything!" Love your little hiking adventure with Carson and the heart felt comments you made about having crazy stuff happen when they are with you so you can teach them how to respond! Currently taking your video course which led me to check out this video where you simply used your iPhone and a GoPro. Well done and so fun to have you share some insight into everyday life with your fam!
My wife and I Rv'd for ten years. Sometimes I wore gloves, sometimes they weren't available. The last thing I did after putting the sewer hose back inside the bumper and disposing of the gloves in a dedicated trash bag, was to wash and scrub my hands with a good quality anti-bacterial soap thoroughly. I never got ill and my Family never got ill. It is not a big deal. Just use common sense and take reasonable precautionary measures. Always wash hands or use hand sanitizer afterwards. Have your spouse hand you soap or sanitizer so that you don't contaminate door handles, switches, etc. Keep your mouth closed when do that chore(don't catch flies) LOL! Great video!
I tell you what... I thought I could fold laundry while watching the episode. Here I sit folding a shirt (packing to go to Colorado for the week) and the next thing I know I am no longer folding the shirt. I am enthralled in the episode. It was very entertaining & thank you for sharing!
Love your videos whether you are in between or doing something spectacular. Marc and Trish are the reason we watch and it's just a bonus that you film in Alaska.
Thank you for stripping back the polished shots and music to show us the gritty side of the Leachs! Didn't know I needed the break, but watching episodes where everything is perfect all the time was starting to make me regret my life choices! Lol I feel better now :0P Back to the regularly scheduled program
THIS!!!! This episode is why I fell in love with your channel! I quit watching when you guys went somewhat commercial based. I laughed through this whole episode because we have the same mishaps and say exactly the same things you guys have said. Please take your channel back to these candid stuff!
My wife and I never miss an episode and truly enjoy every one. You always seem so happy together and, as fellow full timers, know how difficult that can be in 288 sq ft. Maybe time to show the outtake where you think the camera is off while saying "just get away from me for 1 hour! PLEASE! I don't want to see your face for awhile!" ;) You can't fool me - I know it happens!
This was hands down one of the best episodes and so helpful for many of your subscribers, including myself. I recently came back from a camping trip from Las Vegas, to Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grands Staircase Escalante, Lake Havasu, Laguna Beach CA, Las Angeles, Dana Point, San Diego and San Juan Capistrano. If only I knew about the roads in Utah the trip would have been much better (Route 9 out of Zion to Bryce was horrifying). This type of video definitely helps your viewers get an idea of what they may be dealing with if they want to follow your travel. Many thanks for sharing!
Let me share a couple "Lessons From My Father": Lesson #14 is "Always purchase the best garden hose made and the best trash bag you can afford" and, perhaps in this case, more importantly, Lesson #28, which is "When hiking the moment your hands get dirty the Hike has changed to a Climb. Be aware of that simple fact". Enjoyed between the lines. Thanks.
We’ve been following you guys for months now and can’t say enough how excited we are to make some changes to how we live our own lives. We’re about a month away from buying our first rig and can’t wait to share our adventures with you guys. Looking forward to our first meet up 👍🏻
Awesome change. To incorporate everyday living in your videos is just as enjoyable to watch as other videos you've shown. Just a night and day difference, real living at its best or worst. Loved the coil left opened, pretty funny, unintentionally of course.
Oh my gosh you guys are real people like us!! Enjoyed the real deal in between episode speal .... Enjoy your content and all the hard work you put into them doesn’t go unnoticed . Thanks kyd!
We like the everyday stuff cuz we're mega fans and feel after hours and years of watching you all we are invested in your lives! Don't really care if we are learning anything new just want to get to know yall better :)
Love all your videos but it was the videos like this that got me following you guys! A little bit more about your RV life. Thank you so much for all this
I loved this episode. In 2014 my wife and I went to Alaska for our honeymoon and rented an RV. We caught the "bug" and now own a travel trailer. We've stayed in both Homer and Seward. Maybe even the same campground in Seward. Your episode brought back some great memories. Very cool.
We do understand this is a great production for profit and is so entertaining, educational and I so enjoy watching and learning! Between the lines shows your a normal! Thank you for sharing the laughs as well as the adventure.
So I started watching about two months ago and will admit I went Netflix on you and binge watched to current day. Then last week my wife and I went and bought a TT for us and the kids and are booking a few trips before the winter hits to get our feet wet! Thanks for the videos! Also I like the things about the rv videos. Since I have a lot to learn!
Loved this one. Who am I kidding I love all of your episodes. Two questions. 1. How did you get up on the truck to apply the rain X and I need Trishes halibut taco recipe. I have ent had a good fish taco since I left Seward.
We ran into Trish and the 37 airstreams in Haines while doing laundry before you went to Skagway. I made sure I left Haines, Whitehorse, down the Cassiar and Deese Lake before they set off each day. I could not shake them! It was great to talk Alaska with Trish while our clothes dried. After 4 months in Alaska we are in Prince George today and two days from being back in the states. Alaska is worth the trip and is a bucket list event for Rv'ers. Love your videos!
I absolutely loved this episode. Not that I don't like the others, but I was starting to feel like "Man I will never get to RV like that. We can't do it because____insert excuse______." but this made me remember that there is down time and everyday stuff just like everyone else. Plus we got to see more of you guys and your personalities, and that is why I started to follow your channel in the first place. STINKY SLINKY!!!!!!!!
What fun. It's always nice to know I'm not the only complete klutz. "What that scraping noise?" A strap is loose on the back carrier. Or worse, one time the carrier cover decided to drag rather than stay tucked. I get my gloves at Costco. They come in 3 sizes so you can get a better fit.
To do stupid things WITH your kids so they learn what to do in those moments - epic parenting advice!! I really enjoyed this reality video. Thanks for putting it together!!
I was smiling during the stinky slinky portion, remembering Robin William's movie RV. I carry the husky hose and it is a great hose, however I'm looking into a hose that "outside our bubble" talks about that is way over the top. I also laughed as Trish had gloves up to her elbows doing dishes, and you had small little gloves doing sewer :-)
I love this episode. We are RV dreaming. We are a few years away from doing this. Waiting for our last to finish school and my hubs to retire. Then we plan on selling the house and going for it! We laugh watching you two. We love your family and your adventures, but more than anything we love your attitudes!! Btw.... it is POtable, with a long “o”. From the Latin “potare”: to drink
(Coming to you from Tokyo, Japan) This was an excellent episode - lot's of fun and educational. My wife and I have been watching your videos thoroughly as we are planning to go full time just after the New Year - heading west from GA over to Big Bend in TX, and then further west for the next several months. While the standard weekly episodes are very inspirational and we really enjoy seeing the family adventures, in that they make us want to get out there, this specific type of episode really helps us see the everyday and learn from those who have been doing it and have so much knowledge and great insights to offer. I look forward to more KYD Between the Episodes. All the Best and Safe Travels!
I love the reality of this episode! One of my favourites! Your family is awesome. You are great parents. I like Mark's theory to do stupid things together with kids so they learn how to make good decisions!
Great episode! The thought of my kids doing something stupid that is out of my control scares me. I like your philosophy to do stupid things with them to teach them a lesson. You can only shelter them for so long. Happy trails and safe travels!
Okay that was the best Vlog for awhile.. Love the adventures, but your day to day and in betweens are the best. Love seeing the RV. Because it’s what the keeping the day dream is all about. Still can’t wait until we get our adventures.
Here is a tip pilots in Alaska and car drivers use that many don't know about. Don't use Rain X for your windshields. It won't last long. Use car wax. Yes, use car wax. Wax your windshield and all the glass around your car and camper and polish the wax off. Don't use the wax that leaves a white powdery residue behind though. And you will be glad to know this trick. Love your videos. Have fun !!
This ‘they are actually real people’ episode is definitely ‘top 3 EVER’. Keep it up!
This was actually my favorite episode for the entire season. Here is my vote to please put normal everyday stuff in your weekly videos!
It was mine too.
me too.
Ours as well !!! By far our favorite
Hmm so are you saying they are over produced? hmm

It is a lot more work to record so much, but we can include this from time to time. Thanks for the feedback.

I miss playing "what time is it" :-)
Lol. Thanks!
Glad to see you showing the day by day routine, pitfalls of traveling, and the fun experiences we all have on the road.
Marc I think it is a compliment to you and your family that each episode is so smooth and well put together that the occasional sewer hose mishap doesn't make you the new Griswolds! Lol
🤣
What lesson did I learn? That the KYD family a real humans like the rest of us. LOL. Love your videos. You guys are RVockstars :)
I don't see why anyone would not love your videos, thanks you guys are the best
These types of behinds the scene videos are helpful in helping us plan our RV trips
Our subscription list is growing but you both, by far, are our FAVORITES..
This video was OFF THE CHAIN !!!! We loved it .... we found ourselves saying ...they are back !!!! Season 1 all over again but different ... don’t mistake us though .... we love everything you guys put out there for us ... but this was special !!! I loved this episode everybody knows it’s not all rainbows and kittens when your camping! Marc, I love your sarcasm at the dump station it was priceless.
Thanks for the great laugh. As full timer ourselves, it's nice to see that we're not the only that makes mistakes.
I love the Thurston Howell voice! 😄😄😄💚
One of my favorite episodes! It’s great seeing you guys enjoy new places- but your relationships and interactions with each other is what I love to see! Thanks for giving us a sneak peek!

I lost my “STINKY-SLINKY” on the Throggs Neck Bridge 😂😂 we were laughing so hard an no way in hell could we go get it
Awesome! I don't have kids, let alone teenagers! I love seeing you interact with your kids, and everything you are so mindful of teaching them! Thanks for sharing your family's journey!
Getting to your location is half the fun of the trip itself! Glad you finally shared some of the bits you consider "boring".
I really like this one. Where you go is interesting but how you get there is why KYD is special!
More please. This breaks up your normal stuff. Really enjoyed it.

This was such a special surprise. Thank you!
IMHO, ALL KYD videos are fun. I am enjoying being a fly on the wall with KYD and I always learn something new! About the Seward time lapse, placing the camera high up on the ladder prevents people from standing in front of it.
You guys make mistakes easier to deal with. Thanks for sharing. If you ever put together a top 10 video list, this one has to be on it!!
I really loved this episode! Love to watch you joke with each other. Super real and sweet.

This was great. I laughed out loud several times. Thank you!
Love, love, loved it. It's great to see your every day life, not just the perfectly edited version of a planned video.
Just so you know, I have been told you have to really buff the RainX on the window. I loved this episode as much as the rest. Your human after all.😄😂😁
THIS!!!! This episode is why I fell in love with your channel! I quit watching when you guys went somewhat commercial based. I laughed through this whole episode because we have the same mishaps and say exactly the same things you guys have said. Please take your channel back to these candid stuff!

We’ve been following you guys for months now and can’t say enough how excited we are to make some changes to how we live our own lives. We’re about a month away from buying our first rig and can’t wait to share our adventures with you guys. Looking forward to our first meet up 👍🏻
At least you didn't pull away with the hose still in the hole! LOL! This was a great episode.
Thanks kyd!
Are we there yet????
Seriously, loved this episode. I’ve been kind of sorry you got away from this kind of narrative. Thank you!!!
We really enjoyed this episode. I think I like this better than the destination videos. Real life. Thanks
We like the everyday stuff cuz we're mega fans and feel after hours and years of watching you all we are invested in your lives! Don't really care if we are learning anything new just want to get to know yall better :)
I LOVE THIS!! Look at ALL this information you're sharing! woot-woot🙌 & that's awesome, a slinky little tail, bouncing along!
Love all your videos but it was the videos like this that got me following you guys! A little bit more about your RV life. Thank you so much for all this
Yes! The first videos were so much fun, so real.
Best episode ever. Real life RV-ing FTW!
Wow....Airstream Heaven....you folks rock. Thank you so kindly for sharing the journey.
Gotta love the ponytail mustache 8:22!
I liked this "between the episodes" episode. I actually quite enjoy the little tips and tricks you give here and there about RVing. Stay safe.
love the everyday stuff too... not all fun and games.. makes it more relatable! Thanks!
Man this was an awesome episode! Really really neat to see behind the scene.
This is one of you best episodes. Love these types of videos, please do more of these.
Seriously one of the best episodes
Best ever loved it!!!!!!
Love this SO much!!!! Please continue. Your the reason we started full timing 4 months ago. SO thankful for
You guys.
This was So Much Fun! I can’t wait until Sunday each week.
Keeps it fresh 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love the reality of this episode! One of my favourites! Your family is awesome. You are great parents. I like Mark's theory to do stupid things together with kids so they learn how to make good decisions!
The best disposable gloves by far are "Black Mambas" or you can buy "White Mambas". Try 'em you'll like 'em! I really enjoyed this video, Marc!
I love this!!!! What a great episode!♡♡♡♡♡ Thanks for the between!🎬📽
Absolutely fascinating episode! Ok,Ok was that comment over the top? Was fun to watch! There you go much better. LOL!!
Have fun !!
