I was excited making this vid until I realized they mostly just stand and do nothing.
and they also have 6 names
Emperor's Royal Guard, Imperial Royal Guard, Imperial Guard, Crimson Guard, and Red Guard - Фільми й анімація
As much as they just stand in the background, they were a lot more present than I thought they were.
They are much more explored and used in the comics, but in the movies they just sit there and do nothing.
Sit ??? Don’t you mean standing and doing nothing
Like Drax...😂
even in LEGO video games they do something
You can name a comics when they are explored? I'm interesing
@@manudiferro5284the lore master has a video on them
“Guards leave us”
What a mistake that was Palpatine
I didn't notice the two guards in Ep. II. That's a surprise.
A surprise to be sure but a welcome one
The Redguard has served Palpatine since the Clone Wars
3:40 I’m glad Ian McDiarmid reprise the emperor in Star Wars rebels.
The perfect guards, i hope we see more of them.
For everybody that doesn't know that:
The guys in episode 2 and 3 are red guards and not royal guards.
Because that yoda beat them so easily
I don't exactly understand the difference. Can you explain better? Maybe I lost some details.

Royal guards are force sensitiv people that had a very hard training (like survive a time against vader or kill each other)
Red guards are the best clones from the senate guard.
@@marcelxd1633 That doesn't seem to add up with Wookieepedia. It states multiple times that the Emperor's Royal Guard were known as the Red Guard under the Republic. Here's a direct quote: "Under the new government, the Emperor continued to favor the Imperial Royal Guard, formerly the chancellor's Red Guard, as his personal security force which, in turn, led to the dissolution of the Senate Guard." There's also no mention that the Royal Guard contains any force sensitive users or that any of them were clones of the Senate Guard.
@@Syndicalism Their was Mutiple sub classes of the Red Guard which had been added within the Imperial Royal Guard to add force users to their ranks for protection of Palpatine regular red guard were known to use blasters and some instances a Pike, but they were mostly as back up or just guarded imperial palaces located throughout the core systems. Some of them were clones that were trained like the purge troopers but with superior combat skills and at least must stand a chance against Darth Vader.
@@Syndicalism Probably some legends thing then
I didn't even remember that they appear in episode 2 and 3
Yes, their camouflage with walls was perfect.
They kinda blend in with the background
Nice my favorite unit in sw, the praetorian guard was also well done imo, thanks for the video.
In The Bad Batch Obi-Wan Kenobi The Mandalorian, Book Of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka seasons 1-2-3 or 4 with Royal Guards and Praetorian Guards(pre sequel)
My Favorite Galactic Empire Soldiers
They always have to get out by Palpatine lol
I'm still hoping we see the Royal guards fight in live action 🙏
This was an Incredible Video for The Emperor’s Royal Guards. Hey Journal of The Whills could you please do a video for The Elite Praetorian Guards?
Its crazy that I never noticed the red guards in Episode 2 or the opera scene in Episode 3 until i watched this video.
1:52 they're supposed to be highly trained warriors and yet they failed against a clone trooper.
Huh, I never noticed that they were in Episode II before.
Do all Praetorian Guard scenes.
So they didn’t show up in Clone Wars until Season 5?
What about Ahsoka moments next
The red guards never spoke. The Emperor must spent them to Lothal to take care of Ezra.
Every time someone kills them a few more take their place.
Shame we never got to see their true potential 😪
2:35 did those guys die cause honestly that didn’t look very agrresive like Yoda did not force push those guys very hard they just decided to lay on the ground for the rest of the fight lmao
Do KYLO REN SCENES
What happened to them, after the sixth movie?
After Sidious said “leave us,” they never came back. They’re loyal and follow orders
@@bacondorito And then they became the Knights od Ren.
@@giosy0072 no
@@bacondorito Are you sure?
@@giosy0072 yes. Nowhere is it said that’s who they were, and I wouldn’t want them to be. That’d be even more lazy writing than there already is in the sequels
Bad the galactic empire
The Red Guard Sucked... Even the Imperial Royal Guard Did Better.
