In regards to why people like Ninjas channel has lost viewership and that he struggles to regain new subs, or views for that matter... There are various reasons but one that sticks out to me about Ninja in particular is that social media has been so saturated in polarizing, negative, anti-PC stuff. We were inundated with the anti-PC, anti-SJW etc stuff for so long, that people are just sick of the negativity. Even if it's just jokes, that's not the point. The point is it gives people overall bad vibes. And with the country in the state that it's in today, people feel exhausted and they just want something lighthearted to watch that's not offensive. Again, there are other reasons why his and other channels have died down. Vlogging is old school now and the internet evolves every few years. The algorithms have changed and makes it harder for independent creators. I could go on and on. But that whole immature negativity thing is one that sticks out to me. People are drowned in various forms of hate online and in real life these days. People are exhausted from it all and just want more positive content these days. Just my opinion.
Dude you did an outstanding job with this video. I don't really look at the numbers and my uploads will always be whatever is going on at the moment. Sometimes sports, sometimes guns, sometimes jokes, sometimes vlogs, lately I'm learning how to cook better... so that's what gets uploaded. Aside from a couple cheap cash grabs here and there this channel is more of a journal for me to look back on when I'm old. I appreciate how much research you did on this and thanks for the shout out!
His street part will always be one of my favs! I know this is in contrast with his personality on yt but in real life he was very kind, and respectful to everyone when i met him. Hope his channel is gonna recover 🙏🏼 keep it up ninja 🙏🏼
His mistake was mixing personal life with the channel. The Ninja Lifestyle I subbed to was an aspiring AM looking to be featured in Big Brother Magazine, not a cooking channel.
Steve is an og. Kills it on and off the board. As for youtube it's changed so much. Subs numbers don't matter in the least. I've been in the youtube game since January 2006. I miss how old skate content was made. This video was made well, good job 🤘
Ninja is an innovator, wether people can understand is up to them, but making vids uploading them and being consistent is fucken wild I love that he’s not stopping very inspiring

This dude uploads a sponsor tape review series which is kind of fun to watch. I think his character in the videos he makes can be a little bit obnoxious IMO but I have a lot of respect for his channel.
@@dumbdata34 one point i believe you missed. His back injury from his more serious skating. He has a playlist called ninja oldies where its old raw footage when he was much younger. Its incredible hard to keep up the pace of skateboarding after certain injuries. Hes not the best to ever skate but definitely is/was talented
It’s all about the algorithm. Statistics prove this. Having subscribers isn’t enough. You need the algorithm to feed your subscribers your videos. The subscriptions tab is an outdated relic from when UA-cam believed you knew best what you wanted to watch.
Yeah i'm subbed to Ninja and his videos haven't popped up on my feed in YEARS. Basically toe the line and do as you are told or they will shut you down and ruin your life in anyway possible.
First I want to say this was a great video! I think why these skate channels you listed are getting less views is because when they came out, average people liked watching random skate dudes who made funny videos. Now youtube is even more average people and the people that watch skateboarding channels are mostly skaters, which are far far less than the normal youtube viewers, which don't even know that these channels exist. Great video again, keep up the great work!
I skated with him at bunker park back in like 2017 I was trying to kflip the 9 stair there when I popped my bearing and I asked if had an extra one he went to his car and found one for me and then gave me a sticker I stg I landed like second try after I had been trying all day 2 land it Ninja always been a great skater and supporter of the Vegas skate scene
Ninja, in my eyes, is vital to the skateboard scene. His consistent expectation for the sport to be pushed to higher levels is part of why i enjoy his vids so much. Was happy when he started reviewing pro parts cuz fr some ams b putting out better
Man your channel is so underrated. Think we all appreciate the amount of research put into this. Hope someone in the scene gives you the boost you deserve. Feel like this could be a monthly parody feature on the Nine Club or something, going over weird, jokes data that wouldn't make a full DD edit. Either way, top content.
Honestly I haven't watched his videos in years (mostly because life got busy and I was spending way less time watching youtube in general), but this popped up in my recommendations and I was very intrigued. Good video that really tackled skate youtube channel performace much more broadly. You might want to consider changing the title/thumbnail to imply this aspect
I absolutely LOVE Ninja. He's the real OG. My guy used to rap his own songs in his parts and dude is rapping the names of each trick he does in the part and that shit blew my mind and changed my outlook on things. Ninja made a lot of people realize they should care about the art but not care about what others think of them.
damn this video was sooo good. If you focused on more wider audience topics instead of skateboarding, your channel would guarenteed have like 1mil+ subs
Honestly, it's mostly the algorithm not pushing his content out much, ie. the censorship based on cursing, topics discussed and the type of videos. It's actually kind of weird to see views are down by so much. But it's not UA-cam that's dying. It's the algorithm fucking shit up. Hard.
And then compare the situation to you! You get more views than your subscriber count on almost every video, consistently. You're doing such a good job mate love the content
I am on the side of NinjaLifestyle and now Dumb Data too. Very good video NinjaLifestyle’s work on Ninja Review shows people how to make a good skate video and is actually pushing skateboarding forward. It’s incredible work

Skate, in general, has a low viewership on the Internet. If you check the number of views of Thrasher parts, it's depressing how some people spend months, even years, breaking their bodies to get 4 minutes of footage and less than 200.000 views.
