Compacted Faeces and a Sewage Misfire - Serious Drain Unblocking
Вставка

- Featuring Jem again, this was a seriously challenging job! The property had been vacant a while, and the sewage had compacted and turned hard and scoopable. It had also bubbled out from the gully.
The property was on a shared drainage system, so Jem unblocked the gully and manhole on the clients property, and checked the manhole also on the neighbouring property to make sure it was all running well.
Warning: Don't eat watching this one, super gross! 🤮

"Compacted faeces" and "sewage misfire" how could you not click on a title like that!! 😂
It's kinda like dealing with the Democratic party in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Your avatar tho
@@marka.graffakasnakebitenat3736 Yeah…it really kinda is the same.
Even through the screen, I feel like being showered in faeces
It’s like a train wreck, I can’t look away
More than a little glad UA-cam is only an audio and visual medium.
I was thinking the same. Imagine the smell coming out of the phone 😂 😂 😂
@@cbr900rr6 i think the smell function would burn out
As a sparky I just have to say I'd rather chew on 2 legs of a 3 phase circuit than do this job. You have my respect sir.
A full 415 volts RMS?
I wouldn't say that, and I am not an electrician but I do like electricity, but I will say that I would much rather work on electrics than do this! Some people would disagree and say that electricity is "dangerous", and they're not wrong, but I would respect that danger, and I wouldn't touch anything right now as I don't know enough.
I concur.
Yes me to id rater roll around naked in the 480 that i deal with on the daily
Shocking
I'd be questioning my life choices the second I removed that sewer lid, and definitly after getting sprayed! Props to you man.
My drain guy fogot the cardinal rule, keep your mouth closed when jetting, he got some tan porridge in his mouth. His colleagues didnt let him forget it...
If everyone showed your dedication to his job as you do, we would live in a much better world. 100% respect for you my man 👍
Thank you very much
I can't understand my fascination in these drain unblocking videos .. awesome work there m8 .. it's so therapeutic watching the free flow after unblocking
Yup! Drain unblocking, storm drain unblocking (Post 10), bonfires, giant shredders, brush cutting, factory machines (benders/welders/cutters), and my latest... wool rug cleaning.
I can't explain it either! lol
@@adamluke1289 great reply, my feelings exactly.
Me three.. jus sayin
I know. The drain blocking is my latest disgusting phase. Before that it was earwax extractions!!!
@@adamluke1289 Yes the rug cleaning is fab!
When the spade can stand up in it, you know it's bad 😂
Dont make apologies for the hard work that you do, you are doing a fantastic job!!! Keep the videos coming!
Thank you so much 👍
After watching all your videos I’m now definitely leaning more towards gasfitting😁
Im disappointed i didn’t get my shout-out.
In another video! Thanks for watching 😁
If you were a jet hose manufacturer, wouldn't you love to include a red patch in the hose material 2 and 1 metres from the end? so you'd have some idea how much you had left to pull before you got a faceful.
I have seen where they put red tape at 5 or 10 metres
"It takes 6 flushes to clear the toilet" "Maybe it's time to call the drain unblockers?"
Definitely
Top effort man, and certainly earned an early hot shower too.
I’m guessing this family have two daughters. Similar situation happened to a mate of mine.
“Luckily that never got me”, as shit drips off his face. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
The smell alone must be unbearable. Respect to you good Sir !!
I bet these guys never get bad infections. Probably the best immune systems in the world. That would be a great thing to find out. Bye the way, I couldn't change a nappy.
As long as you got your tetanus and hepatitis shots, I'm sure you'd be fine.
A ring of white paint around hose about 2metres from end would give you an idea how much you've got to go when pulling out..
Or a different colour leader hose
A bit of duct tape. Better than getting 12k in ya face.
"The dog is having a good go at the goo coming out of the sewer access in the garden" "Call the Drain Unblockers"
Oh my god, is that seriously full of poop? I dont know how you can do this job. Full respect to you guys for all the hard work you do
Lot of caca 😆
No it's full of chocolate 😂🤦🏻♀️
Never thought I would sit watching a guy clean shit out of blocked drains and actually find it interesting. Love the lockdown.
Lockdown is long gone and i am addicted.
when he said ' It would'nt be a blocked drain without Sweetcorn' that was pure GOLD !!
In whispered tone: *”PINK EEEEEEEYE”*
These are the legends that keep the world going.
Great video! He is almost as good as the guy with the fish! 😂 good work jem 👍👍
Thanks 👍
We had a blockage recently but no where near as bad as that one. How the hell did they not smell it. That’s what alerted me.
100% respect for these people , not for the faint hearted!
Oh my! How in the world do they let their drainage get so bad?! 🤢You are definitely a trooper to do such a job!
Huge respect to you and your workers, everyone wants to be a lawyer or doctor or w/e but jobs like this are just as important if not more important to our lives. Working toilets are critical.
The yardstick of civilization
I’d say, that when the Romans design your drainage system. They designed it for a lot of water to flow. Now that you have green toilets you get more clogs. 🤷🏻♂️
you could always just put a wee bit of red tape or paint on the hose so you know the end is approaching and don't pull anymore.
what i was thinking right when it happened lol
Yep. I wrap tape about 5 feet up from the end. My jetter could kill you if the head comes out. At 4000psi/18 gallons a minute, getting sprayed could be the least of your worries.
read this please!
@@rogermccaslin5963 same here with mine.
That spray out made me duck all the way in America!! You da man brotha 🤘🤘
Lmmfao....I did the same thing. Like it was going to jump out the screen.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Some hardcore shit
that's why after defecating we have to wash using water, this is because water is much more effective in cleaning and does not cause the sewer to become clogged due to the large number of clumps of tissue
Like cleaning a car without a sponge…..
Your work is top notch. I know your customers appreciate you. You go well beyond and finish the jobs completely and the areas look better than the did before. Love your videos from US.
God bless the men and women who have the stomach to do such a job. Not just anyone can handle it. They make our everyday lives easier. Much respect to you all.👍
My UA-cam recommendations are going to look a bit odd to anyone who might be spying on them, but it's time well spent as far as I'm concerned. There's something so viscerally satisfying about seeing a vast plug of... well, shite being cleared. I trained as a chippy and now I'm regretting it. Bloody hell.
You sound so much like Derek Acorah I keep expecting you to ask Sam for some help!
Thank you for the early morning poop unblocking 😁
I have watched over a hundred of these types of videos...........and I noticed that no matter how beautiful the house..........the $h!t in the sewage is the same as any home. LOL
Down the rabbit hole from watching car detailing to pool cleaning now this 😂
I have NO idea why I am watching this! But, it is oddly satisfying. Just glad I can't smell it!
You're a brave man. Holy moly. You just unclogged the mouth of hell.
I think theres a video of him gagging.
You have my utmost respect. Here in the states we have a slightly
different system, in that nothing has a open top in residential areas.
There are clean-outs that join at a 45 degree angle, but nothing with an
open top.......anywhere in the seven states I have lived in.
Perhaps with all there rain you folks get it keeps things clean but WOW!!!
As you folks say 'crack on'.
“I’m going to have to wash my hair tonight “ LOL. I’d be having a 1/2 hour shower!
WIF BLEACH
Yes Jem, wash your hair, your clothes, your gloves, and everything else! That was nasty!!! Great video as always. 😘💕💕
Thank you, I will. All clean now 😁

Great job, if I remember too I try to wear a face shield when using my own jetter. I also have a couple of bands of electrical tape on the hose at 5' from the jet end although I do try to count the pulls back out of the hose.
I'm mainly jetting land drains so rarely sewerage but still not something you want in your face with weils Disease etc.
I’ve found your videos compelling to watch. I think it’s the fact you do a great job and take pride in doing it well. It’s not a job for everyone but when you get professionals like you at it, the customers must be very happy. Well done and thanks for taking time to share a first hand look. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
the hero we need but don't deserve , big ups , peace and love
Thanks for taking the time to explain what and why you are doing certain things.
You're welcome
Love it! Well done Jem!
Glad you like it!
A great video and very satisfying to watch. I can honestly say that I could have chosen this as a career. I don't know how people could have let this as bad as this.
You have to love your job to do this thank goodness we don’t have smell tv!!My hat goes off to this man!!
What a nice place...OMG THERES SHIT ALL OVER THE YARD!🤣🤣🤣🤣 Great job mate! Addicted to your vids, have gone down the "drainage" hole😜🥰
Here in the USA we like to put a couple wraps of tape about 5 foot and then 3 foot from the end of the hose, just so we know when we're getting close to the end of the hose. Lol next time don't forget your safety glasses...
Another awesome job 👏 fair play you do brilliant job 👍
Thank you so much 😀
Was surprised how flared your boiler suit trousers are ... I thought you'd be wearing drainpipes :-).
Fascinating in an eww type of way. You made a real difference there. Excellent work.
I've been watching various channels of this sort for quite a while now. I have to say that I've never seen on any of the other channels people jet straight from the source of the clog. They have always jetted further down the line towards the clog.
I've been to Towoomba! My uncle lives just outside Brisbane. Nice thick sludge, well done.
Thanks 👍
Do you think using lo flow toliet in a system designed for using more water originally is the culprit ?
Wow exposed sewers and drains and water pipes on the outside of the house , living in the us is so different that would never be allowed here.
Where do you put your drains? How can you access them if needed?
@@Doeexist They have a teleportation system set up between their toilet and the waste facility.
Just had to rod my first blockage this evening, actually quite enjoyed it 😂 and luckily found you a few days before which made me feel pretty confident to be honest ! Thanks for the great videos
And to add - what disinfectant do you recommend? I see you use loads so I’m hoping there’s a decent / cheap one about
Are there not regulations and codes of practice regarding jetting? I thought that the last meter or so of hose should be a different colour. Great video getting there with the camera
Great point!
Also regulations regarding face/eye shields, and signing and guarding for protection of the public regarding open holes and trailing hoses.
Anybody else cover their nose when he opened the lid 😂😂
Mmm makes me hungry. I think it takes a special sort of person to do these sort of jobs. Sewers and drainage has always fascinated me
I know, right! Korma!
Anything less than a level A hazmat suit is unacceptable. Especially when that shit shot up like a geyser...🤣🤣🤣🤣 that was the best jump scare of the year
Now I know where the phrase solid as shit comes from. You guys are bloody legends and keep this country running. I tip my hat to you sir
This man's poor nose omg. 😭 I would just be standing there retching. Respect
Just rub Vick's Vapor Rub under your nostrils to mask the odor before you begin the job.
A great unclogging. Thanks for the video and chat. Cheers mate.
Somehow I've managed to find your channel and I'm watching this on a Sunday morning with a cup of tea ☕ 😂 😂
Wednesday evening here, but also with a cuppa tea 👍
Mark your hose somehow so you'll know when you are within 5 feet or so....so you can avoid the spray backs.
I have the utmost respect for plumber's, they definitely deal with many worse smells than probably experience in the dental field...granted there are still a few good ones in my field too...Probably much less than you guys deal with on the daily...as a viewer and pet owner I appreciate seeing you do the disinfectant aspect to protect us and our pets. Thanks for the work you do!!!
You are really GOOD at what you do, I'd hire you to clear out drains in a heartbeat!
Thanks!
Perfect Peanut butter chocolate swirl brownies at 1:00 😋
🤮
😂
Forbidden brownies 😏
@@Kwikii1 hah
They’ve got a different type of system than we do here in America. Everything is piped to the sewer. No openings like that, at least from what I’ve seen lol
I've seen a rare few customer side but the sewer system's manholes are just larger versions. I almost wish we did have these though. It looks a lot easier to unstop. Trying to get a jetter or rodding machine 2 feet down a 3inch cleanout then make a 90 degree bend can be a challenge.
You mean US houses have pumps that push the waste?
thanks for the practical advice. i always add bicarbonate of soda to the final rinsing water to get of the smell.
Big respect 2 the guys that do these kinds of jobs.
That HAS to have been clogged up for some time. With the systems used there, the owners had to be smelling that for the past 6 months or more, especially with the access being open to the air. The neighbors must depend on one another to keep those drainage pipes clear and fresh, otherwise, the place would smell rough all the time...
I wonder who designed the sewage system like that,at least in the US,main line is in the street
When shit hits the -fan- man
What am I doing back here I don’t even want to look at my own ssshhhhiiiiiiittttt. 😂ahh that looks lovely where there’s muck there’s magic that’s it soften it up
Absolutely disgusting! I would’ve thought you’d have had to dig all that 💩 and sludge out by hand. How on earth a drain can get that bad I’ll never know!
That looks like a chocolate cake with fudge icing on top yummy 😋
Love your videos and accent. Cheers from Connecticut USA ❤😊👍
Thank you! 😃
Nice work on your job sir! I enjoy the commentary also, keep up the good work.
Why don't you put a contrasting coloured mark 6 feet or so from the end of the hose so you know to stop jetting and therefore don't have the "misfire"?
Well done, mate. You deserve a medal!
"-You are full of s.it!"
"I am just doing my job, sir!".
Great job done‼️
Wait a minute....where are the pipes for the sewage? Why does it just run and only have man cover access every few feet?
The pipes are between the manholes. These are just access points at junctions for easier access. Much better than the systems in Australia that I’ve seen Drain Cleaning Australia and Drain Addict have to deal with
mine is clear , my drain ^^ checked it after I saw this video ^^ started watching detailing car cleaning, then grass mowing and yard cleanup, now this ^^ brave man
i remember having to call the drain people out to unblock our toilet drains, and with me being the curious type i wanted to watch them work, but he wouldn't let me, and he said, unless you have the stomach for this, you will throw up. Looking at that, im glad i didnt stay...
WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE EATING?
I used to use a Fiber optic probe from Rigid so I could literally see what was going on with troublesome sewer lines some time's home owner's wanna see the actual tree roots and while yes the eel with cutter head does cut them out they continue to grow causing repeated problems ..and sometimes we show them the young lady's in the home are disposing of there monthly issues down the Lew..we call them sewer mice because the strings get caught up in the 3/4 cable and by the time we start reeling in cable they get removed and put in a bag and look like a bag of gray mice ..We used to have a crew that just did commercial grease traps from restaurants & Institutional type places ...
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
How can people live with human waste to close to them every day the stench and filth of it is unreal.
I mean the description does say the property was vacant lol
A lot of people take these things for granted. They think the fairies will look after things when they go wrong!
Your advice to your nephew made me laugh!
Mate you are a bloody hard grafter. Big Respect.
Love me some aged, compacted feces in a square mold. Oooooohhhh!!!! that splash back is so refreshing! I had me mouth open you know.
That was nasty, nasty, nasty. Hoping you looked at your coveralls, as there was some spray on it.. ewww!!! lol!!! Nice work on getting that mess cleaned up and moving again.
Thanks 👍
Muy buen video saludos abrazo grande desde Argentina 😊👍
The manufactures of these hoses should make the first 4 metres red as a warning you're getting close to a spray 😂
I live in Toowoomba myself I like watching you. My dad was a Plummer gas fitter sheet metal worker
You, Sir, have my utmost respect!
It was nice to see you haha x
