  • About:
In 2021 we began a new garden space in our backyard. This was a complete DIY landscaping project. From planning the space, to doing our hardscape, and landscape planting, George and I did it all together over the course of 2 years. In this video we show you the complete project. There is footage of where we started and how it ended. While this video focuses primarily on the infrastructure, hardscaping & French Drain in the garden, you can find videos of the planting of this space in my "Japanese Maple Garden Playlist":

Please get George what ever kind of gloves he wants NOW! No need to wait for a "special ocassion" to justify the purchase, just get them because he needs them now and you love him. The transformation was nice to see with all the steps involved. Sometimes people do not realize how hard gardening can be. You two work well together. I love watching your garden grow.

I have been waiting for this video for so long.. it is absolutely amazing! GEORGE is the man! That was some hard work George, you should definitely be very proud of what you’ve done. Patience and persistence paid off ! The maples, the other plantings, the cobblestone, the pathway AND drainage are just beautiful! I was looking to see where the pagoda moved to after you got your mini boulder in there! Steph, you are definitely blessed! & your work as well has paid off also. Great job you two! Can’t wait to watch and see how everything looks during 2024’s season! You guys are among my favorite garden channels on YT. Thank you for sharing with us! 😊♥️

Hi Stacey! Thank you so very much for your kind words. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Yes, it was a lot of hard work. But also so rewarding, and fun to do together. Lol the mini pagoda is currently overwintering in the shed. We bring in our little yard statues into the shed to keep them from cracking etc in the cold weather. I would love to get a bigger one at some point, I love the little pagoda. The stone was a great addition to the garden, George's persistence to move it paid off. Thank you so much for watching our videos, and for your wonderful comments. So glad to have you along 💚🥰

Wow. Everyone needs a George around. That was labor intensive… great job! I can’t even get my husband to dig a hole. As a woman who has CFS, I’m proud to say I transformed my entire garden by myself. From lifting & placing rocks, laying pavers, digging, planting, transplanting & creating beds. My husband just enjoys my hard-work. So count your blessings Steph. You have a great man!

Thank you so much Sarah! I really wanted to show that part, that it takes time. When I was a newer gardener it wasn't so obvious that beautiful gardens take time to make and to mature. This often times makes the decision to start planting intimidating. My goal was to provide inspiration and encouragement. Thank you so much for your kind comment 💚🥰

Thank you so much!! I agree with you, he is really a hard worker with great attention to detail. So much so, that when he does something don't ever expect for it to fall apart. When we built our home, to save some money we installed our own tile backsplash in the kitchen. He did such a great job that 10 years later when we decided to install a bigger window in the kitchen (which he also did!), and used the opportunity to update the backsplash, he had to rip out all the drywall since the tile was installed a little too good lol. Thanks for watching, and have a great rest of your week!

Perseverance and elbow grease pays off! Most people would have just paid a landscaper several thousand dollars to have an instant garden, but where is the personal satisfaction in that? You must be very pleased with the results.

My parents had a beautiful rock garden with white lime stones. My dad build out of brink and cement a raised garden with flowers.
He shaped it like your one area. Pathway Then an area next to the house. Large patio. Looked like Home Garden Magizine. He took a large rock and stood it up and wrote their names on it. Out of wood, he carved out,
Painted black and hung few hanging plants and a shelf for a bird feeder he made out of wood. He built a huge bench and planter boxes together. He build a square shape to cover the plants when it stormed and lots of rain or snow. He made hills covered with stone and plants all over. Ceramic statues.
    Highlights with lights
He also did the front yard with same look and 10 hugh rocks.
He got free rocks from a rock courey. He cleaned them up with a steel brush. Also made veggie garden.
My mom and dad did it together. Twice. They bought 2 homes.
So I truly appreciate all yourlove and work to design a LOVELY ❤❤❤ GARDEN❤❤
    GOD BLESS YOU BOTH.
IT'S PERFECT. THANK YOU FOR SHARING.
