I hate how they refer to it as part of turkish/ottoman cuisine. Btw his story about it's origin is bullsh*t. The circassian women/girls who were captured and brought to the harem brougt this recipe with them into the palace. Nothing to do with the women's skin color. This dish is not turkish nor ottoman. It's circassian as the name says and belongs to the circassian cuisine. Turkish people don't even know this recipe. This is a blatant cultural appropriation!!!. Btw way this is not how circassian chicken is prepared. And I should know, because I am an ethnic adyghe/circassian!!!!

Фlэхъус, I am also Circassian from Kabarda, and, honestly, never seen anyone making the “Circassian chicken” here. I highly doubt that this is an adyghean dish, It resembles Georgian Satsivi more and, I think, the name of the dish is based on the stereotype that all people from Caucasus are Circassians and I'm sure this dish is of Turkish origin. We don't do anything like that here. Also, why are you being so offended by some random video with 1,3k views, chill, don’t act like an American liberal, лъэпкъым и напэр тумых.
