I just bought a 2015 viper mtx and it starts the same. Hoping the update fixes it. The dealer said they can’t warranty the flash update but will do it for a charge. Considering the dealer didn’t the chain case right last time your a lot better doing it yourself. Great video!

I just picked up the sled from the dealer this morning after getting the flash update done. It was covered by Yamaha and seems to start better for now. Won’t really know until we get into cooler temperatures later on this winter. Thanks for watching!

Is there a gasket between chain case cover and oil tank? I have oil leak somewhere in oil tank/chain case area.

I don’t believe so, the new chain case gasket fixed the leak that I was having.

This might be the worst how to video I've ever seen in that saying a lot. You spent 30 seconds starting the engine and letting it run which anybody can do. When it came to the specifics of taking off the cover and specific screws, you just blasted past it. Luckily I turned this off after about two minutes. 😅
