Happy New Year everyone. It's time to welcome 2022, and what better way to do that than with Britain's most popular Chinese food. When I was younger, my mom would go buy a Chinese meal deal from Asda and that's how we'd celebrate New Year. Not exactly the most exciting of New Year plans, but I loved it nonetheless. Today, it's time to do it again, with the UK's most popular Chinese dish: Chowmein. But this time I sent my mom and dad some authentic Chowmein, or I should really say Chao Mian 炒面, which they had to cook themselves at home. So, go get your favourite food, sit down, relax, and enjoy a New Year meal with us!

You are right! Fried noodles are the most popular. When you take your Mom and Dad to the East again, also go to some South East Asian countries for their types of fried noodles, yummy. 😋

在海外中歺Sweet and sour的肉，应该不是锅包肉改良的吧。 早期移民较多是香港人，有一道广东菜叫咕噜肉（用半肥瘦没骨的猪肉炸的，用排骨炸的叫生炒排骨），都是裹粉炸肉裹酸甜酱，伴有菠萝和灯笼椒。

I like British Chinese buffet food. I liked how it wasn’t priced by weight, but my how much food you could stuff into a container of certain size. Fun times!!

Looks like 炒面 and 炒饭 are most popular Chinese food... 我现在住在澳大利亚墨尔本的一个传统富人区（租房……），周围只有一家中餐馆，而且是英（美澳？）式中餐，只卖炒面炒饭，生意好到爆炸……掌厨的是个东北老板，但他炒的都是南方面，例如福建炒面，广东炒面，新加坡炒面……讲真，作为一个中国人，我觉得他做的不咋地，但我相信local们很喜欢这个口味……
I have noticed several times that I can't hear your parents' voice clearly when you have a video link with them. You send so many delicious food to UK, send a microphone too!
Nothing wrong with the mic. It's the echo from the room or placement of it and level. Probably latter because previous episodes with same cam were clear. Distortion at peak levels caused by turning up level too high.

Bob accepts the idea Chinese do not waste food , that is right. Unfortunately, many Chinese waste food now and our President had already taken measures to stop it.
Why didn't you cook on NewYear? No store was open? Mom on strike. How about Xmas?
