Hayden was a very bad choice to play Anakin, since the character wasn't supposed to be a weird version of Luke, he was supposed to be a powerful giant warrior (the name comes from the giants of the Bible) with tendency to violence and who got lost in his path and was seduce by the dark side due to either a bitter tragedy or a misunderstood belief in the end justifying the means. George forgot what Vader was all about in his prequels.
@@robertmarquez2767 George Lucas imagined it all, he knows how it should have been. You basically try to say that you know better than the original creator that gave this whole idea lol.
Fun Fact: The scene where Anakin murders the younglings wasn't scripted, but Hayden Christensen started killing children and the camera was recording the whole time
The scene where Padmé and Anakin stare out the windows is one of the most powerful moments in the film, in my opinion. Both are uncertain and fearful of what will happen to them and their relationship next. It's a very deep, emotional scene that required no dialog to be great.

lastdragon55 You wouldn't be the first. I will admit the movie has some good moments. But that' really all I can give it. As a whole, the movie just isn't that good in my eyes. There are alot of things that are wrong with it. And since it's part of a trilogy, that only hurts it more because I can't just analyze ROTS by itself.
Jared Allen It is viewed as the best amongst the prequels. But the prequels as a whole really aren't that good. So the best in a series that wasn't that good. Still doesn't do much.
And those deleted scenes actually would have given us the feeling that Obi-Wan and Anakin actually had a brotherly relationship. But that's just my humble opinion.
I don't understand how this part of the video was clever. It wasn't supposed to be surprising that Palpatine was the Emperor. It wasn't supposed to be a twist. In fact, the name Palpatine was given as the Emperor's name in the New Hope novelisation and many other times before the prequels.
Yeah, it was never meant as a surprise, especially not at that point, it was obvious at that point. That would be like saying Anakin turning out to be Darth Vader was supposed to be a surprise. And yeah, the Name Imperator Palpatine was was already established. So it was pretty clear who he was in the first movie already.
How this part of the video was clever: the guy that did 4 head turns = lots of turning. What does all that head turning does to your neck? Maybe... some twisting? A twist?
Anakin: So you're the Sith Lord. Palpatine: Well, it's about time you figured it out! I've been dropping hints like crazy! Anakin: I am a slow learner...
Jar Jar: Oh, heesa not the lord of da Sith... Meesa da lord of da Sith! Meesa Darth Jar Jar! And yousa in big doo doo dis ti-! AHHH! Mace Windu: Enough is enough! I've had it with these ************' Sith in this ************' Senate!
Hey! That window scene was one of the only times I actually felt emotions for these characters! It was one of the rare times everyone shut up and let the atmosphere do the work!
+Masterxl MVs Agreed. One of the biggest problems with these movies is that everybody has dialogue. Hell, it would have worked better if this was a silent movie trilogy.
Me too. Gives me chills every time. It's like they both know shit is about to go down and with the music you can almost feel Anakin being torn in thought.
I will say tho, that moment when the helmet closes over the mask and you hear the breathing for the first time, that was pretty damn epic. Also the closing two minutes of the film when they're looking at the sunsets on Tatooine.
@@calebmurphy9406 I wouldn't say 'moron', but those moments were wholly uninspiring. George Lucas should have hired someone else to manage the creation of the Prequels.
"Anakin is easy to manipulate." Why is it hard to believe that Palpatine is a genius and a master of deception? He was the one orchestrating a galaxy-spanning war, went from senator to supreme chancellor with little opposition and gained complete control of the government, and couldn't even be sensed by Yoda. You really think manipulating one person would be difficult for him?
Who says we're doubting his manipulation skills, we're just saying that anakin Skywalker could be convinced to commit genocide if you promised him dessert after he ate dinner, which he could
The thing is, Palpatine led the war from both aides for more than one movie. He only manipulated Anakin for one movie. I think that’s why it pales in comparison to his other genius feats. Nonetheless it’s still interesting and he was one of the best parts of the Prequel
Eternal Branches hmmm kinda but also- if you watch clone wars you can see him building a relationship with Annikan and growing trust between them- one quote from the movie is after he was sent to naboo palpatine says “so they’ve finally given you an assignment etc” it’s honestly the small stuff that got planted throughout the earlier movies that made it easier for palpatine to be able to seem like a trustworthy mentor and someone that was genuinely wanting to help him in rots- especially after the same thing happened with his mother I would be paranoid too if history was about to repeat itself and I was going to lose the love of my life.
+Andrew D. Royappa Yeah they didn't actually try to hide anything. It was supposed to be more of a surprise to the characters than it was to the audience. That reveal could have been executed than it was though.
+Andrew D. Royappa Am I the only one who didn't know Palpatine was the emperor? I had forgotten episode I and II by the time I saw this one. It actually made the movie cooler. I was like "WTF???!!!"
+Andrew D. Royappa It was "worst" for me, I didn't even know Anakin was Darth vader, I only saw episode II and parts of episode I before, but I knew the existence of darth vader (he was so cool and mysterious back then) and many classic scenes because of parodies and other mentions. My mind was blown when Anakin turned into Darth Vader "OHHH so this is what this trilogy is about and it is supposed to be before the other episodes, that's why they are IV, V and VI depite being made before!!!" Happily I can say that revelation felt just like the "Luke, I'm your father" scene for the people that first saw the originals.
How stupid Anakin was and he didn't understood that Palpatine was a Sith lord at the opera scene? imagine a Prime Minister saying to you: "I've read a really interesting book...It's called Mein Kampf"
+Vinny Banana The Order 66 scene is rubbish and comes out of nowhere. The whole point is to make it sudden so the Jedi don't see it. Yep, the Jedi don't see it, the people that have reactions so quick it's like they can see parts of the future. There's no build up for the Order 66 part.
Oh, and one more thing: You're complaining that Jar Jar is back... When he has NO dialogue and he's only there for 2 seconds while walking slowly forward with his head down. He was literally ONLY there because of the connection he had to Padme from the previous movies. Come on. Now you're just trying too hard.
Evelina999 Not really. Actually, in my eyes, he's not that bad of a character. He does annoy me at times, yes, but he did get a few chuckles out of me. And I'm gonna be honest, you can't complain about a character being in a movie when he's barely there and for an admittedly logical reason and he gets no dialogue whatsoever in a "blink-and-you-miss-it" cameo. Sorry, but no. This is an illogical complaint.
Anakin's real reason for turning: he didn't like how the Republic was handling themselves. The way jedi are trained are no different from how stormtroopers are trained. He feared once they defeated the Sith, they would slowly become the sith. So Anakin turned not to become evil for evil's sake, but to create a compromise between both sides. He thought he could redefine the Sith and settle the war, while also being an example for the Republic, but Palpatine's grip on him was so tight, his goal was harder to reach. So when he found Luke, he saw a way out of that grip. He could team up with his son to kill the sith and create a new order, but unfortunately he died. Now because of crap writing, people think he's just a whiny brat who just wants to be evil. DAMMIT GEORGE!
+K Damon yeah dude also how Windu was a total hypocrite and isn't merciful no matter what. Even though Palpatine was a sith, a true jedi would spare him. And if he was spared the people would find out he was a sith lord. Man the whole series would have turned out differently if Obi Wan fought Palpatine instead.
***** he could, but even if he left, he still has that ambition to make a difference eating away at him. If he left, nothing would change. He believed once the Republic defeats the Senate, they'll abuse their power, and he really wanted to keep that from happening.
2:57 I loved that scene between padme and anakin.. Sometimes you don't need to use words to tell a story (something George doesnt tend to acknowledge) but this was a powerful moment
I have a good feeling the new movie's gonna have much better fights, if the rumors of Iko Uwais and Yayan Ruhian choreographing the fight scenes are true.
+William Jakespeare 20 years later, aboard Death Star: Darth Vader: "Obi-Wan?" while crossing lightsaber with his old master. Obi-Wan: "Yes?" Darth Vader: "Remember when we fought last time, on top of droids on the river of lava?" Obi-Wan: "Oh yeah." Darth Vader: "..." Obi-Wan: "..." Darth Vader: "... we got so old..."
People haven't realised that obiwan won the duel with anakin simply because he learned from the mistake of darth maul of not using the high ground as advantage?
It just seems more likely they forgot how Kenobi won, and needed some way for Kenobi to win in an emotionally pleasing way. One that didn't make Vader seem like a chump, but just not in total control of his emotions. I personally would have liked to have seen Vader going ballistic at the end, starting to swing wildly as he loses total control of his emotions, and Kenobi calmly defends until Vader makes a minor mistake. It would have made more sense to me, because Kenobi seems afraid(and on the defensive) in the original as he's fighting Vader.
So the sick ass darth maul didnt know that you shouldnt just stand and do nothing when someone jumps over you from the low ground? That sounds like such a stretch
No guys, Darth Maul simply adopted the high ground. Obi Wan was born into it, molded by it. By the time Obi Wan had first touched the low ground, he was already a man.
@@Keithustus CGI is fine when used to enhance, but it should never be the focus. "A special effect is a tool, a means of telling a story. A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing" George Lucas said that while making the OT. He lost sight of that.
After watching all 6 seasons of Clone Wars, I can safely say I like this movie a lot more now. It makes Anakin's turn much more impactful and his betrayl to Obi-Wan even sadder, because you know how much they've been through.
i think everyone just jumped on the "hate episode 1-3" bandwagon. I loved all 3 movies, even Jar Jar. Adult Anikan was a bad actor, that's my only complaint.
@@carrielange2692 Actually, I thought Hayden Christensen was a perfect Anakin.😮 There's nothing he could do about the bad script but he saved it, with his performance in episode. His facial expressions are just On Point in that movie. I'm serious go back and watch it, he does a fine job all things considered.👍
I came here to say this. I stood in like for like 7 hours to see Attack of the Clones when I was in high school and I loved it! It wasn’t until I was in college and went to see Revenge of the Sith with some friends that I realized that people didn’t like the movies. I realize that they all have plenty of faults, but I genuinely enjoyed all of them. 🤷♀️
Geoff Janes the funny thing is, the show based off the prequels is the good one and the show based off the OG trilogy is the bad one (at least in my opinion)
If you rearrange the letters in the word Sith you'll get a different word that sum up what this movie was gonna be...Tshi. Which is Chinese for disappointed in the cooking of the duck meat.
+Mark Meason Darth Maul didn't even try to slash him. That Sith arrogance and overconfidence doesn't really help you, even if you are the stronger warrior. Plus, Obi-Wan was in that first duel. He could probably anticipate what someone would do in Anakin's place and counter it, because it's what he would've done and what he did before. (If that makes sense)
I'm not saying he can't act, but these films had such terrible dialogue and such terrible direction not even Jackson could turn in a solid performance.
+Hector Meneses (radiohm3) I also went to /watch?v=HLfGh2b_me0 and counted 10 head turns (0:06, 0:24, 0:30, 0:55, 1:16, 1:50, 2:35, 2:49, 3:17, 3:49) but only 4 are evil indeed.
I actually thought that a few of the scenes they cut out were pretty good. Hey showed the friendship between Anakin and Obi-Wan and added some of that "heart" that haters are constantly bitching about.
@@jeuryrabassa9534 not *every* way, like I mean don't lie to yourself and say Attack of the Clones is better then The Force Awakens, cause that just ain't true
While I may be the odd man out I like the prequels. Sure some things weren't the best but wow some people act like they are straight up cancer. Revenge of the Sith was a great movie and I enjoyed every minute of it.
+Daniel Russell people with nostalgic goggles my friends. it just doesn't live up to it's predecessors' cinematography and whoever wrote those terrible screen writing had no idea about screen writing, most of it was soo cheesy.
+Aize I for one loved the third prequels if not all, like, i loved it, yes there were few minor things that needed to be fixed but thats it. I was more involved within the story than the other two. If they had only made the clone wars being about well, the clone wars like a story from the clone wars animated series, it could've been well done. I disliked most of the things about Phantom Menace, it's seriously a bad start to begin with, the concept was there, the premise was also there, the foundation from the predecessors as well, it was just poorly executed and they needed to add unnecessary stuff to it.
The last 1/3rd of Revenge of the Sith was heartbreaking. Not just Order 66, but the knowledge that everything that happened in the Clone Wars, every sacrifice made, every friend lost, meant nothing in the end. It makes The Clone Wars CGI cartoon that much more tragic.
It's literally the same actor from ROTJ... You were supposed to know who he was the moment you first saw him in TPM. This was not supposed to be a twist.
I’d rather have scenes of characters sitting around and talking, interspersed with some really exciting action, than non-stop action scenes that leave you exhausted and overwhelmed. Also, Darth Vader, the most badass villain in the galaxy, turning out to be a broken man who is a shadow of his former self is one of the most brilliant things about this series, even if the “nooooo” scene is terrible.
+Slippy Toad hard to have much of a reaction when the character you are playing doesn't have a personality, you only have 5 feet of room to work with and it's all in front of a green screen so you have no real reference to what your character is supposed to see :P
***** I enjoyed the prequels, but sometimes the dialogues felt too long. I know prequels have to explain how the universe got to that point, so they will of course have the focus on many characters and are limited by the events in the following movies. I just got lost around five times because I couldn't keep up with the dialogue. I think the bigger events are better suited to actions. But I am not saying the original trilogy did it well; there was also some talking I did not like, and sometimes the action felt forced.
+DoctaDaKing I completely agree. That silent scene reflected Anakin's internal conflict far more than the dialogue did. Unfortunately it is overshadowed by the rest.
Are you guys kidding me. That window scene with Anakin and Padme is the most heart wrenching scene in the whole saga. Also, I'm pretty damn sure it was pretty obvious palpatine was sidious from the beginning. It's not supposed to be a reveal, it's knowing that palpatine is sidious and waiting to see how it plays out.
No I agree with you revenge scene was better. And I loved return of the Jedi as a kid was my fave back then but revenge is better than return. People just love to hate on the prequels and love the apparently flawless originals.
Well it’s my opinion and the critics can’t decide much between them either. 80% for return on rotten tomatoes where as 79% for revenge. Not exactly a joke revenge is a terrific film and one of the best they’ve done though I’ll always love return of the Jedi but I don’t think it’s beet yet than revenge but is still great I think both are great along with 4 and 5.
Darth Batman it's not joke, it's fact, even screen junkies (who obviously are fans of original trilogy and obsessed with it) couldn't make positive video about ROTS, it really has many issues...
Matt Rasp if you think the last 4 episodes of the clone wars are better than any Star Wars movie then you are a little kid who’s probably only seen the originals once
Joe Kerr I understand that but he was saying the last 4 episodes of the clone wars is the best Star Wars content we’ve ever gotten and that’s just dumb revenge of the Sith is amazing and I can see why people would put that number 1
A lot of the stuff commented on here is heavily taken out of context. The scene between Anakin and Padme is one of the most powerful scenes in the movie for more reasons that just “standing and staring out of windows.” The Jedi falling to the Clones is also justified. They trusted them for three years and had little reason to believe they would betray them. They would have no time to respond to it. Plus, I feel Screen Junkies heavily cherry-picked the bad parts out of what is actually a good movie. There was no mention of: the best lightsaber duel in the franchise, the incredible visuals and worlds, the atmospheric scenes and amazing soundtrack and if you’ve watched the Clone Wars tv show, one of the most emotional scenes in the entire franchise. Look, just because everyone else on the internet gives the prequels hate doesn’t mean you have to follow that trend. Revenge of the Sith is good and not just by default.
"Anakin is easy to manipulate." He forgot about the fact that Palpatine is a genius who was behind the war and went from being a senator on one planet to supreme chancellor with nearly unlimited power
@@alexanderlightfoot571 Agreed. Clone Wars sort of takes the prequel movies and brings them up closer to what they should have been. It doesn't make them better movies necessarily, but it does deepen your appreciation for them and what you take out of them.

I think its hilarious that the featured deleted scene is probably the most expressive Hayden ever gets in these movies when he isn't having a tantrum. Just goes to show that its not his fault. He can act very well. He was just basically told not to.
I actually liked the quiet talking parts and the staring-out-of-windows parts. They’re almost meditative and a nice break from the pew pew pew splosions.
+angus7021 He's forced to act bad by Lucas. There are a lot of behind the scenes shots where he was delivering an honestly natural and good performance...until Lucas forced him to ham it up and whine. Lucas's the devil here, but Christensen paid for Lucas' mistakes with his entire career.

AniLionTV Episode III is not good because it's better than the first two of the prequels. Even looking at it from a stand-alone point, it's still a bad movie.
+TheMarkSasuke64 Just because it's a Prequel doesn't make it the same as the others. RotJ is probably the weakest of the Originals, but no one complains about it.
FullHalCircle ....well then you´re the only one, cause Rogue One´s Darth Vader is the most badass incarnation of the character... and most people agree with me, oh and don´t start with the salty "Oh you´re not a true Star Wars fan" crap, as I´m to going to reply to ya geek. Bye bye!!
FullHalCircle ....well sorry if I were kinda mean, it´s just YT is full of trolls and idiots that can´t take a disagreement like grown ups, so I´m already being a dick (Yeah, ironically acting like the trolls I bash) XDDD Now, going back to the subject, I loved Rogue One´s Vader cause, FOR ME, he was exactly the lord Sith he was supposed to be, a dark, menacing, aggressive force filled up with pure hatred and madness... Something I didn´t get to perceive in the original trilogy, and I slightly perceived in Revenge Of The Sith from the prequels trilogy, even tho I liked Anakin´s character and didn´t find Hayden´s portrayal that bad... he did great once he turned into Vader, it was the execution of the "idea" along with his childish "motives" that were totally atrocious, but that´s Lucas fault for being incompetent. Still I could never take "stiff Vader" from the original trilogy, that seriously, considering how the fan base claimed him to be "one of the best villains in cinema story" yet the guy can´t fight. I dunno, but a Lord Sith that uses a lightsaber like if he were in a pillow´s war is not a threat for me. The only movies in where I could really see that legendary badass guy was in Rogue One, and slightly in ROTS... Now, I totally understand why you find it incoherent, ROTS and Rogue One´s Vader is basically a lightsaber master, while OT´s one is....well.... lame... Sorry for the purists that might feel offended by this comment, but I´m objectively speaking the truth. Greets from France.
+Buzz Light year To Infinity and Beyond The prequals tell an interesting & compelling story -- they just don't always execute on the performance. For film buffs who are interested in the nuts & bolts of how movies are made, I'm sure that the prequals are unbearable. For the rest of us who are simply interested in being told a story, the prequals are actually pretty fun. I think that the Star Wars prequals are a lot like crocs. The internet hates them mostly just because it's cool to hate them.
While i hayden christensens dialogue was shit, the guy had the perfect face for the part, and once they got a real voice actor into the clone wars he was okay.
If you watch his scenes without audio and just focus on his body language, he's actually great. He can't deliver lines well, but he can convey an awful lot just through stance and movement.
I love this movie. It's definitely one of my favorite entries in the series behind The Empire Strikes Back and possibly A New Hope (I haven't seen The Force Awakens yet). *EDIT:* As of now, I have seen The Force Awakens and enjoyed it highly. That being said, I can't quite say it was one of my favorites in the series.
+Masked Guy It was a good movie but for people who actually follow the story line the movie didn't really follow the real story but I can see why they wouldn't because TFA is basically starting a new revolution of movies
Yeah! It's kind of bad he's getting so much hate for it! When I think of my favorite actors I honestly don't think any actors could've made it much better
+Mikkloud~AMVs Exactly, everyone always gives him too much hate. This is the real reason he turned to the dark side. Think of all the great actors in these movies, Samuel Jackson, Natalie Portman, Liam Neeson, Christopher Lee, etc. and they all just seem lifeless most of the time. But since everyone has their own expectations of Anakin, which this script would never deliver, he bears all the blame.
+Lapis Riolazuli I couldn't disagree more. Grievous was a meaningless, disposable villain who randomly appeared in the movie, received almost no meaningful screen time or development, and then died completely anticlimactically following twenty minutes of pointless CGI fireworks, lizard chases, and lightsaber twirling. His only purpose in the movie was to pad the running time, give Obi-Wan a reason to be missing when Anakin murdered all of the Jedi, and sell action figures. Which is sad, because in The Clone Wars cartoon series, he's actually a pretty cool villain. Sadly, none of that came across in the movie, where his whole appearance pretty much boiled down to "Who is this guy again?" and "Oh well, doesn't matter, he's dead". So basically, he was a CGI version of Count Dooku.
+SadisticBlessings General Grievous was obviously a rushed character in the movie. He has a much better character development and back story in the expanded universe- but hey that shit isn't canon now I guess
Maybe you should actually analyze scenes for yourself instead of parroting redlettermedia. Most of his stuff is over-exaggerated for comedic purposes. Watch the scene again closely.

I don't know why rots is hated on so much, the best one out of the 3 prequels I actually really love rots
Jared Allen It is viewed as the best amongst the prequels. But the prequels as a whole really aren't that good. So the best in a series that wasn't that good. Still doesn't do much.

"Not the the guy who does 4 Evil head turns in 1 conversation?!!! What a twist." I love this so much
I don't understand how this part of the video was clever.
Ian McDiarmid played the emperor in episode VI, as well as senator Palpatine in ep I II and III, his identity was never meant to be a surprise
How this part of the video was clever: the guy that did 4 head turns = lots of turning. What does all that head turning does to your neck? Maybe... some twisting? A twist?
actually the precuel movies tried to do a twist, but it doesn't have any sense anyway.

+Alexandru Ionescu no he meant like a new republic or resistance

+K Damon yeah dude also how Windu was a total hypocrite and isn't merciful no matter what. Even though Palpatine was a sith, a true jedi would spare him. good point. Do you think Anakin would side with Obi Wan over Palpatine?
*****
he could, but even if he left, he still has that ambition to make a difference eating away at him. If he left, nothing would change. He believed once the Republic defeats the Senate, they'll abuse their power, and he really wanted to keep that from happening.

The opera scene and anakin and padme seeing each other from a distance over the city were two of the best scenes in star wars.
People haven't realised that obiwan won the duel with anakin simply because he learned from the mistake of darth maul of not using the high ground as advantage?
Maybe, but if Maul almost died from that, how does Obi manage fine?

Not exactly a joke revenge is a terrific film and one of the best they’ve done though I’ll always love return of the Jedi but I don’t think it’s beet yet than revenge but is still great I think both are great along with 4 and 5.
I understand they joking about everything, but this was too much, almost everything is out of context. this bovie is realy GREAT!
Darth Batman
it's not joke, it's fact, even screen junkies (who obviously are fans of original trilogy and obsessed with it) couldn't make positive video about ROTS, it really has many issues...
That's how I read Palpatine as well. Its not a reveal. He was seducing Anakin to the dark side.
Plot twist: Revenge of the sith is actually the holy grail
Outside the last 4 episodes of clone wars, it’s my #1.
Matt Rasp if you think the last 4 episodes of the clone wars are better than any Star Wars movie then you are a little kid who’s probably only seen the originals once
Nicholas Burns they’re a little close for me but ROTS takes it
Joe Kerr I understand that but he was saying the last 4 episodes of the clone wars is the best Star Wars content we’ve ever gotten and that’s just dumb revenge of the Sith is amazing and I can see why people would put that number 1
Nicholas Burns ok
FUN FACT:
Revenge of the sigh has a 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes whereas Return of the Jedi has a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
it's better.
+James Wilson Actually, Revenge of the Sith has a 79% score on Rotten Tomatoes, while Return of the Jedi has a 80% score.
+Tomiply He was right
+James Wilson Ever watch Movie fights? Ratings dont mean shit
+James Wilson That makes me very, very sad.
To be honest I love this movie
same
It's my favourite Star Wars
Ι love the movie .
Me too
Same
Did anyone lose it on the "even if that something is a lizard chasing a robot on a unicycle?"
Ya I did
Me lol
Yep XD
every time someone calls Grevious a droid or a robot I just want to kill them
.
Femke V. after watching the clone wars, attack of the clones also grew on me
@@alexanderlightfoot571 Agreed. Clone Wars sort of takes the prequel movies and brings them up closer to what they should have been. It doesn't make them better movies necessarily, but it does deepen your appreciation for them and what you take out of them.
I think... you missed the satirity of this video
@@nackle_k I know it's for satire, but they have other honest trailers that either outright praise the film or find the good things in flawed ones. This one was just mean-spirited, especially compared to the rest of the Star Wars honest trailers
I think its hilarious that the featured deleted scene is probably the most expressive Hayden ever gets in these movies when he isn't having a tantrum. Just goes to show that its not his fault. He can act very well. He was just basically told not to.
Obi Wan: Its over Anakin I have the high ground!
Anakin: From my point of view you have the lava ground
*Throws lava in front of Obi Wan*
BloodKills hishe lol
LAVA GROUND
😂😂😂

cmon hayden really improved as an actor for the third movie :')
this guy was way too angry and brutal :)
I actually liked the quiet talking parts and the staring-out-of-windows parts. They’re almost meditative and a nice break from the pew pew pew splosions.
The only scene that shows subtlety in the entire trilogy.
and yet I enjoy watching it over, and over, AND OVER again
I mean say what you want but i think Hayden captured the anger and inner turmoil of Anakin pretty well.
+Evangelos Tse no wayyyy....show me those behind the scenes please!!!
+angus7021 I agree his acting was actually pretty good, considering the dialogue that he had to work with.
Most of the bad things about his character were Lucas's fault, not hayden's.
+angus7021 except when he starts talking...
+GunbladeXBustersword just youtube or google star wars 3 behind the scenes. I believe theres a youtuber that posted all the behind the scenes extras for every movie.
Right, you're just hating on Episode III just for the sake of it, and simply because it's part of the Prequels.
Episode III is actually good.
+Batman Jr. You realize the best part of a turd is still a part of a turd, right?
+TheMarkSasuke64 What are you talking about?
AniLionTV Episode III is not good because it's better than the first two of the prequels. Even looking at it from a stand-alone point, it's still a bad movie.
TheMarkSasuke64 Its better then A New Hope and it is good btw
+TheMarkSasuke64 Just because it's a Prequel doesn't make it the same as the others. RotJ is probably the weakest of the Originals, but no one complains about it.
Saying Revenge of the Sith sucks.
It's treason, then.
It's a terrible movie /close
@@gerwant1309 literally no argument of course. Keep acting like hot garbage is good filmmaking. It objectively isn't
Its bad
Better than endgame
@@gerwant1309
How does that make up for a counter argument smartass ?
JJ Abrams should have directed the prequels, and George Lucas should have direct people to their seats.
+Ritchie Chavez hahaha that's from red letter media right ? :D
Nice RLM reference
+blacklustersoldier95 yessir it is hahahaha
+Abel Villa (The Cynic) the thing I love most about all of the Star Wars content on UA-cam is RLM fans posting Plinkett quotes all over the place.
+Ritchie Chavez *Ba dum Tsssss*
Hmm, Luke trying to kill his student... I guess he inherited it from his dad :D
Sure sure he almost cut his student in half if he wouldn't wake up to Luke's lightsaber.....:P
Actually, he got it from Obi-Wan: if you can't bring yourself to kill your own father, [sad look] "Then... the Emperor has already won."
We can take Darth Vader seriously because of Rogue ones ending. I mean seriously that was super cool!
Even though he could’ve easily force choked them all to death or force the disk to his hand.
Rogue One is the only Prequel.
The best Darth Vader scene ever . . .
“Commits jedicide”
*drum sting*
I don't mind the prequels *arms self with 4 lightsabres*
Awkward Sause MEEEE
+Buzz Light year To Infinity and Beyond
The prequals tell an interesting & compelling story -- they just don't always execute on the performance. For film buffs who are interested in the nuts & bolts of how movies are made, I'm sure that the prequals are unbearable. For the rest of us who are simply interested in being told a story, the prequals are actually pretty fun.
I think that the Star Wars prequals are a lot like crocs. The internet hates them mostly just because it's cool to hate them.
me too!!!
FRIEND YOU ARE CRAZY
Awkward Sause I second that. I loved episode 2 the most
While i hayden christensens dialogue was shit, the guy had the perfect face for the part, and once they got a real voice actor into the clone wars he was okay.
If you watch his scenes without audio and just focus on his body language, he's actually great. He can't deliver lines well, but he can convey an awful lot just through stance and movement.
K IRA What lines from a not well executed script? He is good he had great movies but...
Trust me, his german VA is far worse. Christensen is tolarable compared to him.
watch Shattered Glass
Zebedee Shekelstein he is quite handsome.
still a better love story than twilight
are you sure?
xxdragonloverxx potterhead Not by much though.
say: "Anakin, you're breaking my heart!" ten times and you'll see.😈
But Twilight is crap, real crap. I admit that.
Yup
Am I the only one that actually kinda enjoys the commutes, trade disputes, bubbles (?), sunbathing etc?
ofc not. Prequels are just a rage vent for overexpecting fanboys. And Jar Jar is awesome!
It’s good stuff for those who appreciate a masterpiece
Georgi Georgiev Lol, I don’t actually mind Jar Jar and my little brother loves him so I’m fine with it :)
Yropez I found it kinda boring in the movies
Wade Meservy bruh?
From my point of view you have the LAVA GROUND!

+Blizzic that was epic
Then you're allready lost
+Blizzic #Howitshouldofended
+Blizzic *puts on sunglasses for you* YYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
"Oh Really? You call that Episode IV starting positions..." said Rogue One.
You guys forgot to add that Darth Maul had the high ground as well!!
But he let his guard down
Anakin was practically screaming: "Get ready, I'm gonna jump in three! One...two..."
Well, Obi could jump high enough ;P
Harukakanata Obi wan had absolutely no leverage when he killed Maul. Anakin still had a light saber in his hand, and was on his feet.
Daniel S obi wan was hanging by his hands at least a foot right below maul, WITHOUT a light saber. This is one of the biggest plot holes.
“Performance so robotic, a suit finally caught up to his acting”😂😂IM DYING
Maybe because he plays a conflicted young man who was taught to supress his emotions and can't trust anyone?
@@Сайтамен you do know that this movie is not the first in film history to have characters that are emotionally reserved/stunted?
I love this movie. It's definitely one of my favorite entries in the series behind The Empire Strikes Back and possibly A New Hope (I haven't seen The Force Awakens yet).
*EDIT:*
As of now, I have seen The Force Awakens and enjoyed it highly. That being said, I can't quite say it was one of my favorites in the series.
It was bad, didn't feel like Star Wars at all
+Ravek why not? i have seen it and i find it to be a good film.
*****
Really? Almost everyone has said that it's really good.
+Masked Guy
It was a good movie but for people who actually follow the story line the movie didn't really follow the real story but I can see why they wouldn't because TFA is basically starting a new revolution of movies
Incraftable - Gameplays, Tutorials, Reviews
I'm hoping The Force Awakens will be appealing for both long-time fans and newcomers alike.
You can't really load all the blame on Hayden Christensen though, the script was incredibly awkward and clunky
Yeah, he's actually a competent actor, but not even the greatest could make Lucas' writing sound good.
Yeah! It's kind of bad he's getting so much hate for it! When I think of my favorite actors I honestly don't think any actors could've made it much better
+Mikkloud~AMVs No one was good in those movies. Except Ray Rark.
Sorry, but the General Grievous fight scene was awesome
It was and grievous I thought was one of the coolest villans in star wars, I just wish he got more screen time
+Lapis Riolazuli I couldn't disagree more.
+SadisticBlessings well yes he wasn't in the movie much but he does have a long and interesting back story, its just not shown in the film
+SadisticBlessings General Grievous was obviously a rushed character in the movie. He has a much better character development and back story in the expanded universe- but hey that shit isn't canon now I guess
+Andrew Nievera there is a lot of him in the Clone Wars TV series.
I totally agree, this is the best prequel, that has some good stuff in it, even though that’s not saying much
He didn’t say it was a good movie you’re delusional 😂
Emphasis on “SOME GOOD STUFF IN IT”
Along with the other 2 I feel like this movie ruined Anakins / Vader’s backstory
It’s the greatest film of all time actually and people are just too dumb to see how amazing it is
"A lizard chasing a robot on a unicycle." I'm dead xD
Fun fact: Obi Wan's actor couldn't hold it together during the "killing younglings" scene, which is why he covers his mouth
Annabella Carter Ewan McGregor? that explains a lot
emily 84 lol yeah I was worried about spelling his name wrong
Maybe you should actually analyze scenes for yourself instead of parroting redlettermedia. Most of his stuff is over-exaggerated for comedic purposes. Watch the scene again closely.
Annabella Carter couldn't hold it together cause he was laughing?
Am I the only one around here whose favorite Star Wars movie is Revenge of the Sith?
+Fly-Gon Jinn no my friends favorite is III as well
+Fly-Gon Jinn - Liking it doesn't make it good
Nope this is my favorite
"Nooooooo" ( Darth Vader moaning voice)
It's easily not the best, but I can understand how it can be people's favorites.
“Let me get this straight you think Revenge of the sith is the best Star Wars film?”
Me: “I do, and I’m tired of pretending it’s not”
Woah, it’s not the best, it might be your favorite, but it’s not the best. Rogue One is my favorite, but episode 5 is still the best
Revenge of the Sith was always my favorite. I never even knew it was hated until I came on the Internet
I know that the OT is objectively the best, but I get the most enjoyment out of the prequels. I like them more because the soundtrack and action.
@@kaidenbraught4573 isn't it illogical to say that something is "best" since there is no objective and undisputable way to prove that it is? Best has always been a popularity contest, and dissenting opinion usually get suppressed which makes it harder to de-throne the favorite.
