I wonder if you could put thermo insulating panels on the ceiling above to distribute the heat and insulate the attic door inside to keep heat from escaping. Just a thought.
Sir, you should've mounted that lower as heat rises and to heat the floors makes a huge difference as well. Unless I do not know fully about your inlet source of natural gas.
Nice install. I installed one yesterday. I only have about 10" clearance from ceiling to top of heater, my neighbor told me to take it down or I will catch my ceiling on fire because it's not 36" from ceiling, Is this true? My ceiling gets hot but I would think even if it's 36" from ceiling it would still get hot. Mine is the 3000 btu radiant heater
Thanks. I have no issues with mine. However, it’s not radiant heat; I do have a radiant heater in my workshop on the floor and it does get hot. Keep in mind that radiant heat, heats stuff in its surroundings!!!
I just ordered this heater but I don't know what gas line to order or what size connector to use. Did that connector that you screwed into the heater come with it or did you have to buy it separately. If you bought it what type/size is it? Also what size hose did you buy? Thanks
I just installed what looks to be the same one in my garage last weekend and my directions stated I had to be 36inches from the ceiling. Yours looks closer then that, I wish I could put mine up higher like you have. Did your instructions say it was ok to be that close?
@@darrellsr0526 ah yes I apologize I see now, they do say to have it higher in garage bc of vehicles and stuff like that..good job BTW and thanks for the great vid
Also, Great job I’m going to have to install mine by myself, so this helps!! Thank you!!
Love how proud she looks.
Me too Bobby!!!
Thanks for sharing ! Be blessed !

Agree; however, I wouldn’t be able to access the heater if I had put it any lower. we keep both vehicles parked in the garage.

Not sure about catching the ceiling on fire but it won’t be that efficient that high up as heat rises. Mines about 3feet from the floor.

That yellow gas line looks really close to the housing.
Looks good man I need to get a yellow again

Steve, I had to purchase both the 1/2 inch gas line and connector separately. the size connector you will need is located in the instruction manual.
@@darrellsr0526 Thanks
Sweet job ! Very clean and professional. If I may ask one question. Why did you install it so high on the wall ? Thank You..
Thanks…To avoid backing up into it with my large King Ranch truck. it sits right above my truck. still heats up the entire garage though!!!
Thank You...

Now that you’ve had it awhile, have you noticed everything turning yellow in your garage? Ceiling, walls etc.
No issues as such John.
Great Job!!!!!! After a year of service, how do you rate it? I want to install one in my garage, I'm in a hurry, I've only lived here 32 years. Lol
Barry,
Thanks…We love it; it continues to work most awesomely!
All you need now is a ceiling fan to recirculate the air and back down. The garage is man 2nd man cave

Joseph, it’s just shy of 3’
Did you install the blower fan ? I see an electronic cord or did it come with? 🤔 overall how is the output?
Yes Joyce, a blower came with the unit. The output is great!
Where did you get the yellow gas line at
I purchased it from Amazon Roy!
Why so high up? Heat rises and pretty sure it has to be 36 inches from the ceiling
To avoid backing up to it with my large King Ranch truck. The garage still heats up fine!!!
