Thanks man! With help of oscilloscope and your video we figured out that we replaced old chain with new but trashy new cain. Vq40 finally started well!
Wished you would have shown lob positions on bank two. My bank 1 tdc frt lobs are up facing one another. I question bank two lobs when marks are lined up????
Can selinoids cause valves to bend? My murano sounded like it jumped time but when timing cover was removed and engine put on TDC( combustion) . Timing was still set right. All markings were alined. valves sound bent when started.
Bro this makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is if you line up the damper pulley to the mark on the timing covers inspection window and nothing lines up
How do you verify cylinder 1 is at tdc on compression stroke when installing all new timing set after an engine has jumped time? I have all my timing marks lined up on all sprokets. Im just not sure if im on the compression stoke. Or am i just over thinking this and the marks are where i need to be to start all over? Any input would be appreciated
@JohnSima-d2y verified piston position on cylinder 1 with a long extension. Confirmed cam position on cylinder 1 were facing eachother like that manual stayed .. and prayed
@JohnSima-d2y engine went together fine. Started and ran. Engine also had low oil pressure ..after it warmed up it showed cat failure. And spun a bearing.
