    I have a pair these Ts18s, a pair of the Ts412 for tops & Ts408 for monitors. Beautiful sound. In the past, I did own JBLs both SRX and MRX and I have played with QSCs, Yorkville, Peavey, etc. I really did underestimated these Altos after I had bought them. But after the first gig, I am not going back breaking my $$$ for JBLs, QSCs, EVs, etc. Best Bang for the bucks. Oh by the way, guys with qsc k12s&12.2, Mackie 215s tops, etc. are always renting them (TS18s) from me. I will post a video of them rumbling in my channel the upcoming weeks.

      If you want to get a true Sonic experience, you might want to consider pairing your speakers as follows:
      8 inch mains with 12 inch subs
      10 inch mains with 15 inch subs
      12 inch mains with 18 inch subs
      15 inch mains with a single 18 or dual 18 inch subs
      You can technically run speakers however you want. This is just a standard of what sounds best. You want to have a high mid and low frequency driver that cover all spectrums of the frequency range in between the drivers.
      😎

    I have the TS12 and boy that thing BANGS! I tested it side by side with the QSC ks112. Out of the box the TS out ran the QSC in volume. The QSC sounded cleaner at first but keeping in mind the QSC had much lower frequency ranges. Once I put a hi pass filter on the TS12 it almost sounded just as clean and moved a lot more air in the same space.
    I was blown away! Only gripe is no onboard hi pass filter.
    The TS18 doesn’t have the vast frequency range the 12 does. Can’t wait to grab one

      That’s some awesome feedback brother! Please explain… are you saying you need an external filter to clean up the sound on these or is it just that you have no digital adjustability like the qscs?

      @jweeventgroup8226 2 місяці тому

      @@mallkrawlerz620 yes. The frequency range is something like 38hz - 152hz.
      That's a lot of amp energy wasted toward higher frequencies on a subwoofer in my opinion. At most you want it up to 120hz. So a nice hi-pass filter of 80hz - 100hz cleans it up so nicely. Great punchiness.

    • @mallkrawlerz620
      @mallkrawlerz620 2 місяці тому

      @@jweeventgroup8226 oh man that’s such a bummer. From what I understand alto built the filter settings into their tops and not their woofers. That’s a great way to keep the customers buying their ecosystem. I might shoot for the 15”. That one has a frequency range of up to 110hz which is more commonly what I would set my equipment to.

    I was looking into the Harbinger V 3412/VS18 combo vs the Alto TS412/TS18 combo. Looks like the Altos have more power and get louder for the same price. I just find it insane the Alto subs don’t have a crossover if I wanted to use other tops. So does the Alto sub always run full range? Which looks like up to 110?

      I think you’re confused. the ts is 1200 rms 2400 max. And the ev is 1800 max 900 rms.

      How are you liking them?? I'm heavily debating them just because I can get two of them for the cost of one of the others I've been looking at.

      Surely they have some crossover / low pass built in & aren’t feeding the sub the full range 🤔
      Assuming it’s just not offering a hi-pass for the thru outputs & instead you’d do that on the tops.

      Could not find it any were in the paper word or Manual. based on how they get the wattage in the past model I would say 1250w d-class power amp.

      the rms value in my opinion is cheap, you should listen to it live and maybe test it in spl values

      Someone should dyno test it. I'm sure it's good, but realistically, maybe 500w actual rms.
