World Ballet Day 2023 - Replay

Joburg Ballet joins 66 ballet companies across the globe in celebrating the 10th anniversary of World Ballet Day. Dancers Shannon Glover and Craig Pedro will be your hosts as videographer Lauge Sorensen’s camera takes you behind the scenes. You will be able to watch the dancers in class given by guest producer and teacher Angela Malan and visit places the public does not normally see such as the wardrobe and the physiotherapy room. There will be brief interviews with Angela, CEO Elroy Fillis-Bell as well as some of the dancers. Also taking part in our World Ballet Day are visiting dancers from WGRUV Dance Company and Cape Town City Ballet.

Very sensible class with talented dancers, an energetic accompanist, and a keen-eyed, supportive coach. Nice (and informative!) to see a variety of body shapes in the room. 👍🏾👍🏾
