Pianist outshines the class and videography!
I'm with you on the videography, but I find Broadway show tunes really annoying in ballet class. I do appreciate how s/he improvises on themes, though.

The camera should frame the feet and the whole body of the dancer .Little experience for whoever was in the director's chair for this video .Very nice ballet class excellent company.

@@v.m.179 Agreed. Too much cheekbones and tits, two little full body expose. Typical dance videography; trying for facial emotions rather than dance.
Great to be able to see the ballet work. My only wish is that the camera man would show the full body of the dancers and teacher more, especially when he is demonstrating, so that as viewers we could follow along.

Obviously, everyone is AMAZING, but as a male dancer, my eyes were kept on Shale Wagman.
I know everyone is working hard and concentrating BUT listen to that gorgeous music and DANCE.

I was excited to watch this but I’m disappointed how it was filmed. I can’t see the dancers full bodies, legs or feet most of the time.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I could see the dancers bodies move nor the teacher fully demonstrate and then I get all these close ups and fuzzy focus. It was too distracting to me.

Company pianists don't play from one certain score, usually they play without scores, but if they use aheet music, then it is collected from over the years. It's a long path from ordinary pianist till company pianist!:)
El realizador no tiene idea de lo que es el ballet. Sólo enfoca planos cortos de las caras , muy pocas veces de todo el cuerpo para poder apreciar los ejercicios .

The videographers, not being dancers, seem not to have understood that it's important to see the teacher's demonstrations. Instead they tried to be "artistic," focusing on the dancers' heads and backs while he spoke. I gave up before ronds de jambe à terre.

I really disagree- he speaks the combinations, and we are allowed to see them work-
