I really don't understand why I like your videos so much. Your videos have every element that I usually hate in UA-cam videos and yet I keep coming back for more...
You would have a great career in acting portraying a Mad Scientist or any evil villain for that matter.
I love the new Talmans! Thank you Ibanez (and thanks Henning for your nice videos).
I absolutely love these guitars! Such a neat take on a "classic". Currently dreaming about and saving up to buy the non-premium version. (Un-employment is fun, eh....)
I tried the lowest end talman cos my friend wanted to buy one, and even that was great quality! it felt great and sounded fantastic as well! i'd also recommend you look at the GAX30. again, very inexpensive, but feels great and sounds fantastic! (and i normally always upgrade pickups). massive Kudos to Ibanez!
Well for me personally the guitar was more designed like a Strat than a Tele especially with the controls and where they was placed. Must admit I never liked the colour and prefer the Ibanez guitars that have a bit more appealing colours about them. Though I could not take anything away from the guitar here at all. I loved the fact that it instantly appealed to yourself with what you was playing on Henning. It certainly feels playable just watching how you approached it and it was perhaps instantly also something that one could be creative and want to play out of the box.
Crazy playing, very funny. The guitar looks awsome. Ibanez each time is improving and making better guitars.
You mentioned Frank Gambale, my most favourite guitarists btw.
the riff starting at 13:30 is soooo awesome
Hey Henning, hätte ne off-topic Frage: Wenn ich deinen Thomann-Link verwende und dann etwas anderes beim T bestelle, bringt dir das was, oder kann ich mir das sparen? Schönen Urlaub!
If I was designing an update on the T type guitar I'd go 3 a side tuners, dead straight string pull and maybe use staggered height units and bring them nearer to the nut. I should work for Ibanez. A roller nut and saddles might work as well.
How do you think it compares to a fender USA standard telecaster??
"the truss rod has been inserted from the back..." ..............that's what she said Henning c'mon !!! XD dont be shy
Nice guitar but the Diezel Paul is the STAR of your last videos! It sounds so good! Will there be a full demo of it??
14:00 is my reaction to all the T-style but offset goodness of the Talman
I like the compact body. It looks comfortable. I think I NEED one of these..
Any telecasters at the samme price you would recomend more than this?
You really don't need string trees with those staggered height tuners.
he's annoying and noob.
great review and funny as always! it would be awesome if you could review the cheaper one too.
Do you get much hum from the amp when it's cranked? Or are the pickups stacked to avoid that?
Gorgeous looking and sounding beast!
Signatures tend to be more consistent in quality in my opinion. I have an Universe and a prestige 7string, the UV feels better, not that much but noticeably better.
Very nice Henn!
dude. was wondering if ur ever going to do a review of the ibanez iron label fr? no seems to have done one and its a guitar im very interested in.
It's alder not basswood. Love your channel. Cheers.
The sound is very authentic to a T-style. That headstock though, not a fan. It's because of you that I bought the same tuner, the polytune is awesome. Have you ever tried Godin guitars Henning? Made in Canada, I own a Godin progression Strat type.
they look really nice :)
Ibanez says that you're supposed to say the model number as the name
Was hopping it would be a review for the lower ends models. Can't really afford the Prestige one.
Henning, next time: Skip directly to the end where the cat / dogs (3! they need 3 dogs for 1 cat, ha!) show down takes place. Nuff said.
This is the last guitar i actually wanted to buy but its wasn't a Presige, version. Just $349 at Haight Asbury Music. Heck, i didn't even plug it in.. Didn't have to.
how does it compare to a regular tele
I oooed and ahhhed over the guitar and lisa oooohed and aaaahed over the cat at the end
Your german 'stramm' is like our danish 'stram', which means the same thing. We probably got it from you guys at some point I guess 😆
hey henning, at bass camp i hope you get another chance to interview philx... have fun... cheers! (oh great guitar btw)
das ist auch gut... nachdem du den link benutzt hast ist es egal was du kaufst, das zählt alles... vielen Dank!
+EytschPi42 Super! dann mach ich das..
i'd love to take the magnets out of a set of dimarzio areas and put the magnets from the duncan five two's into them. #tobadnohumcancelling
G-strings.... the underwear that splits your kipper. I'm just about to pull the trigger on one of Ibanez' Talman basses, the spangly green jobby with the coil-split. They're at the lower end of the spectrum, but I have to say I fancy one of the guitars. I prefer the looks and the sound to the equivalent Fender tele.
Nice looking and sounding guitar. However, for about the same price and you can get a real Fender American Standard Telecaster
You can but this has a better bridge, tuners, and pickups. It's also more ergonomic. Just because Fender's name is on it doesn't make it the best. I would take a Suhr or a Nash telecaster over a Fender. My Ibanez Prestige RG is better quality than my American Deluxe Strat even though the Ibanez was cheaper.
this dude looks like sans undertale
Why can't you say Telecaster? will you really get sued?
Sounds closely like telecaster
Fucken Frankenstein of a guitar.
This guy is fuckin awesome
Bears indeed watch.
haaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhaaaaaaa.... I am dying here.......
Ha! :D
👍
Hi HP, I think you would get more subscribers if you weren't so easily distracted by email notification noises while recording your videos, and if you didn't go off-topic so often when you are talking. I know you are trying to make the video informal and fun but all the digressing makes the video much longer than it needs to be, and it is frustrating for the viewer. All too often I am saying out loud "Just get to the point!", and I skip through the videos. I say this with respect as you know your stuff, you are a great player, and I've gained a lot from your videos in the past.
Well, this is EXACTLY why I like his channel more than others. Cheers, Sven
+Sven Horlemann That's cool Sven. I mean no disrespect to HP... he's a great guy, the kind of guy you would really hope to meet if you went to a guitar show! I enjoy his videos, but personally I would watch more of them if they were shorter and a bit more 'disciplined', with distractions edited out. But I loved his meandering style for the Bass Camp artist interviews!
Name in the title is wrong
Is it already fixed? Looks good to me.
Ok, Duncan pups, locking tuners, well built, but nothing "prestiges" about it. $1249? That's list, so more like $800-$900 retail, but is it worth it for such a plain guitar? Sounds great for country and little else. Wasn't impressed with the overdriven tones at all. Would rather save my money and get another Harley Benton JA-60. It is refreshing however to see Ibanez make something other than a "metal" guitar in a solid body for a change. Always respected Ibanez
I agree, a Mexican Fender is a much better bargain IMHO.
€1249 is actually what it costs in Germany (at Thomann, so that's probably the lowest price you can find over here).
1249 for a Mexican Fender? Sorry if I misunderstand but for me a Mexican tele is $599 everywhere.
+ArielsSmartyPants
No, no, I wasn't replying to you, I'm talking about the Ibanez in the video, Henning said it's 1249 and Squazzoo meant it probably retails for 800-900 then.
But it's not, not here in Germany at least.
+ArielsSmartyPants
MiM Teles are between 630 and 830 Euro btw.
If you're from the US you have to consider the VAT in most other countries.
first time here,,,,think its my last.
and you felt it was necessary to tell me that? Why? If you didn’t like something, wouldn’t you think that constructive crtiticism would be more appropriate?
Most people that come here every day didn’t like the first thing they saw and didn’t like me... I am an acquired taste.
"Spankiness"
That's an ugly ass guitar...but the headstock shape is the worst looking part...nice try Ibanez.
you're mad
meth much??
Nice. Watching this with my son and you keep swearing. Bye...👎
