So grateful for this review. Was about to get a generic one from Amazon. This seems much sturdier. Only one thing, I intend to use it in the garden, to keep moths off my cabbages!
Good afternoon! I really enjoyed the video today. I'm glad that you have made a safe place for Olive. Safer for her while you are gone and also your house. Have a great day.
People think cages are cruel, but in fact they can actually keep pets safe. You can monitor them, let them back out and still give them freedom to move around. And in Olive's case, it keeps her safe and out of trouble when you guys are away. It would be tragic if she knocked a knife out of a drawer and cut herself or stepped on a fork that fell or any number of terrible situations. I can very much understand why this has to be done. Thank you for sharing, Jennifer and Chad. 🙂 Lots of pets for Olive!
Thank you. That is 100% our concern that she could get into something that would really hurt her. So the pen is for her own safety while we're away. Have a good day!
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I looked up cushings because I didn't know anything about it. Those symptoms are a bit different than our Olive. The good news is - Olive is still with us. It turns out she has an autoimmune issue where her body attacks good blood cells.
Our Great Dane definitely was able to slide it/distort it's shape until we added some additional clamps. Now it's much more rigid. But she could still probably slide the entire thing on a flat smooth surface if she wanted to. I'd recommend anchoring one side to a wall if possible.
I think that would be difficult, but not impossible. You'd need to get some way to connect the piping that keeps it solid. And then you'd need to get that 1' wide section of chain link or some type of fencing (I guess it could be a solid piece) for that small spot on both ends.
Great video! Would it be possible to add an extra panel with the full human-sized door in the MIDDLE so that it splits the kennel into two 5x5 sections?
Great question. It depends on the strength of the dog. Our Great Dane was able to push out on the sides and change the shape of the kennel. I called the manufacturer and they sent us 4 more clamps (2 for each side intersection). The corners never moved, but once I put the extra clamps on the side panels, they never moved either.
@PurpleCollarLife, thanks for responding! I have a 160-pound cane corso, and that was what I was worried about!!!! Was it difficult to get in contact with the manufacturer?

Glad we could help! I hadn't thought of other uses besides a dog kennel. Creative!

Very nice! I hope it works well as a safe place for Olive when it’s necessary for you to be away temporarily.
Us too!
Fantastic video, we are looking at this of our foster dogs.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
Just bought one if these, thanks for the set up video
Great video, thanks! Our dog's name is also Olive lol
That's funny! We love our Olive. We've had her for over 8 years now, and she was somewhere between 2-4 when we adopted her.
I found your dogs symptoms very similar to an older dog of mine. It had cushings. Hope this helps..

Olive is cute when she’s behind you
We think she's cute 99% of the time. :)
If I set this up in the garage can my 95lb husky move it or slide it around? Hes very strong and very destructive when we are gone.

I wonder if one could rig some pipes up to expand the width from 5ft to 6ft.I want one to mount on a trailer for hunting dog camp.

Thank you for leaving a comment. I don't see any reason why adding a second door panel as a divider and creating two 5x5 areas would not work.
I literally came to this video to ask the same question about adding a divider. Thanks!
Great video! Now, how do I take it apart? What tool, or drill attachment😵💫
You should be able to use the same tools/process in reverse for disassembly. Thanks for watching!
How sturdy are the panels with the braces that connect them? Will it be easy so shift it out of square? That's my only worry

used to feed my dogds growing up all the family scrap choclate gravy with biscuit and they was fine so its a hit or miss or just a myth
How do you stand it with ger interrupting you all the time?
She doesn't interrupt. She is adding information and commentary when we're making the video. We don't have a script of who talks when.
Can anyone tell me if one the wires in one brand are stronger than the other? I'm looking at pet sentinel vs retriever panels
That's a good question. I don't have any experience with the Pet Sentinel brand. But I can tell you that this kennel works great for our Great Dane.
hello cute dog
