I personally love this grip. Im still getting use to it and i think over time its only going to get better and better. I personally love this grip. It didnt take long for me to get comfortable with it but im able to adapt quickly due to my mindset of make the uncomfortable feel comfortable.
I did buy the Honu putter, but I was not too fond of the New Zealand putter grip; when I put the putter down on the ground, the grip forced the putter face to be wide open, so I changed the putter grip with the new Golf Pride Reverse Grip pistol grip which fixed the opening up the putter face-just sharing. The guys I play golf with are having a lot of fun at the look of the head.
I have tried a grip based on similar concept in the past. I just interlocked all my fingers and held the putter in a very similar style. Now for short puts, it was great because elbows are at same level and body can stay fully square. If one hand is lower, there needs to be adjustments. I could manage long puts by gripping tight. The issues I faced are similar to ones you described. I think it would be a worthwhile grip for club golfers.
I agree! The interlocking gives you more control and feels less awkward.
The hands side by side works well for me. I use the wishbone grip which is very thick and perfectly adapted to having the hands side by side

I struggle with long putts and contact seems to be an issue . I'm looking at ball position and I see that you used to have %70 weight on back foot with ball position slightly back on centre. Is this still your position because it looks like you've moved ball front of centre in more recent videos ?

Hi Jack. As I’ve gotten older, my eyesight has changed considerably and I seem to strike the ball better now when it’s almost dead center in my stance. I still have about 70% of my weight on my back foot but the ball is almost dead center in my stance.
I just bought a 43in lab mezz putter broom stick style. How would you hold it.
I have to experiment, but probably right On bottom palm, facing towards the target and left-hand on top palm, facing away

Good video on the different variations of it that people can try. you should check out this short video of his version he talks about, and the fingers grip the club a bit more comfortable and the fingers from each hand basically pull in opposite directs on the side of the putter grip which helps comfort and stability tremendously. If the putter swings in an arch how can you keep face square, the face will never travel straight down line..
Yes it will,.BUT only at the apex of that arc. Very, very narrow margin! Consider this a straight back and through, ANY manipulation will put that putter head off square. So is an arc better than a straight back and through? Depends upon what you can repeat and make work. Many PFA tour players use an arc method for putting!
Nothing new here. I've been using this putter grip for the last 60 years when I was a kid my backyard and I'm from Canada.
