This song changed music. It was the best time to be alive. I'd sit with my friends in middle school and flip between Nirvana and Pearl Jam to Onyx and Cypress Hill. So much good music in the early 90s.
I was born in the wrong decade. But thanks to my dad playing nothing but classic rock and all the music on the rock stations it's what I grew up on. Nirvana though, definitely my fav

This one is good. But my personal favorite is “Freebird” Shaq goes for a hell of a ride, and when the solo just keeps going he is losing it, I fucking love it! I feel this channel is very very important, you don’t see much of the usual bitching and moaning in the comment section, seems like we all get along and genuinely appreciate his videos.
This song becomes even more iconic when you realize this was the song that single handedly killed 80s party rock. Everyone went from sex, drugs and rock and roll to "this life fucking sucks".
Hey Shaq, I would love to see you react to The Cranberries "Zombie". Delores O'riordan the vocalist also sounds like an angel when she sang. Easily the greatest vocalists of all time! R.I.P. Delores O'riordan
@DamienAlexander no, her death doesn't define her. I love The Cranberries, Zombie is just my favourite of many great songs like Linger, Dreams, Salvation, Ode To My Family just to name a few. Delores O'riordan music will live on forever.
This band and this song have been credited for many years as bringing in the "grunge" Era and ending the hair band/arena rock era. I was there as a teenager/ young adult to witness it. This was an amazing time, I miss it so.
richmond morris your personal distaste for Cobain’s voice is a moot point. The song is legendary and on top 10 of almost every list of greatest rock songs ever. The group changed music.
Shaq, you’ve finally gotten to one of the best rock bands of all time. You gotta react to “Where did you sleep last nite”, “The man who sold the world”, “Lithium” and “Rape me.” You’re the best reactor in the game. Much love homie.
Nirvana is one of my favorite bands of all time, definitely top ten, and Lithium is one of my favorite songs from Nirvana, definitely top 3 my other 2 would be "You Know You're Right" and "All Apologize", with "You Know You're Right" ranking in my top ten favorite songs of all time across all genres.
Mac I agree that they are a tier below led, pink and the stones but I’d still put them in my top 10. Kurt’s death added to their legacy but they were already the biggest band in the world at the time of his passing.

The band is from Seattle one of the greatest grunge bands ever. The lead singer Kurt Cobain committed suicide by blowing his head off with a shotgun April 5, 1994 in Seattle Washington I was nine years old when that happened and I can still remember finding out the news and crying about it because we lost a true genius RIP Kurt Cobain.
What’s awesome is that on one of his tours, Kurt Cobain made this song in a Van on the way to his next performance and then played it at that venue. The dude is awesome!!
at 7:45 when shaq explains the nuance he just experienced. That made my day. "This dude just went through so many mood swings. hold up" Best shaq moment on the entire channel. great vid
Nirvana is from Washington state “my home state” they basically from Seattle! “My home city” Kurt Cobain is from Aberdeen Washington. But made Seattle huge in the 90s. RiP Kurt 🖤
Isaac Casanova likewise i would go to open mic nights at a few shops and coffee spots just to see bands play. Also went to a few practice pads to see bands practice nightly after getting out of school or off work. Bands like Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, Gruntruck, were amongst the names of many listed on show posters all the time. I remember subpop records, broadway ave, sir mix a lot, gas works park free shows. Paramount theatre... memories

How did he represent the entire generation exactly or basicaĺly what did he sing about cuz really i never ever heard this band because i live in syria not in us so it would appreciated if u inform me
Ozirus he represented a generation of teenagers in the USA in the early 90’s. Not all teenagers, but there were many. He is the face of 90’s Grunge music. He is also another very popular artist that died before he could fail. Therefore, he lives on as a legend. If you weren’t a teenager in the 90’s, you couldn’t possibly understand. Just like I can’t possibly understand what the youth is going thru now. Different times. Just take my word for it. He is a legend.
I started watching Shaq react to rock songs, explored his other reactions. Made me realize how it's not just us older people going what happened to the bars in hip hop. 90s music was exceptional in every genre. Thank you for reintroducing me to Eminem.
tessa91182tp - Though I’ve kept up - many people in my age group almost subconsciously have “stuck” in the Golden Era of Hip Hop. 1990 - 2000 etc. Glad to see younger dudes like Shaq and ScriptWork helping to bring attention to lyricism again. And though I listen to almost nothin but lyricists - there’s no one better to introduce the world to the craft of writing as well as Eminem.
This band made music history. From Seattle to entire world, the "grunge" music began and left a significant mark in rock music. Kurt Cobain, Chester Bennington. Both amazing artists, musicians, singers, performers and both known for taking their lives. I remember where I was when I heard about Kurt Cobain and Chester Bennington. Those were sad days. This song changed music. It was the best time to be alive. I'd sit with my friends in middle school and flip between Nirvana and Pearl Jam to Onyx and Cypress Hill. So much good music in the early 90s.
Best reactor on yt
I was born in the wrong decade. But thanks to my dad playing nothing but classic rock and all the music on the rock stations it's what I grew up on. Nirvana though, definitely my fav
Look at Shaq handing out love. Hey Shaq, check out the music video for Evenflow by Pearl Jam.
Shaq: "This is one of those songs you just here everywhere, at the store, in the elevator, everywhere man"
*Ding: Elevator doors close*
A MULATTO!, AN ALBINO!, a mosquitoooo, MY LIBIDO!!!!
A DENIAL A DENIAL A DENIAL A DENIAL A DENIAL A DENIAL
*Ding: Elevator door opens*
Jordan Taylor bruh 😂😂😂😂
Nice one 😂😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂
hear*
I'd stay in the elevator and rock out. I wouldn't care who sees. 😂
Im waiting for him to hear that bass line at the beginning Come As You Are. He's gonna trip.
There's no better 'Reaction' video than this to "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Trust me I've watched them all.
"My man had all types of mood swings right there. Dats tough!" Genius + art + depression and mental anguish.
Nirvana literally changed music when they released this album. It will be remembered in music history for ever.
Having Fun Alice In Chains came first.
Having Fun 💯💯💯💯facts. I ate breathed an shit nirvana back in da day. Respect. .....💯👊🏻
@@planreview everyone remembers Nirvana first for a reason and not AIC.
This song becomes even more iconic when you realize this was the song that single handedly killed 80s party rock. Everyone went from sex, drugs and rock and roll to "this life fucking sucks".
"He said with the lights out it's less dangerous I thought it was the other way around" lol I'm dead☠😂
Hey Shaq, I would love to see you react to The Cranberries "Zombie". Delores O'riordan the vocalist also sounds like an angel when she sang. Easily the greatest vocalists of all time! R.I.P. Delores O'riordan
I listen to this band all the time man! Such a amazing voice and unique sound. RIP Dolores
Yeah we need him to react to that song and then right after Eminem- In Your head.
Yes!!! Her voice is so beautiful.
I thought he did Zombie. Maybe not, but I would love to see Shaq react to it.
@DamienAlexander no, her death doesn't define her. I love The Cranberries, Zombie is just my favourite of many great songs like Linger, Dreams, Salvation, Ode To My Family just to name a few. Delores O'riordan music will live on forever.
Dunno if it's of interest, but the drummer is Dave Grohl - front man of the Foo Fighters.
This song successfully got rid of hair bands, overnight.
that's literally the way it happened
Sadly, even tho I like grunge
True
@@geert6133 i have a buddy who is still in mourning
Thank god.
This band and this song have been credited for many years as bringing in the "grunge" Era and ending the hair band/arena rock era. I was there as a teenager/ young adult to witness it. This was an amazing time, I miss it so.
RIP KURT... u are definitely missed in this world.
big time. Enjoy NOFX Hepatitis bath tub book!
By whom....one of the new want to bes. No real value

One of the greatest songs ever made. If anyone who hasn’t heard this song they ain’t someone who knows anything about modern popular music.
Idk about one of the greatest but definitely popular
Definitely one of the greatest. Crazy to think it's almost 30 years old.
Absolutely, a freaking classic!
Not one of the best so many above them....but for the newer music it's decent I guess...
richmond morris your personal distaste for Cobain’s voice is a moot point. The song is legendary and on top 10 of almost every list of greatest rock songs ever. The group changed music.
Shaq, you’ve finally gotten to one of the best rock bands of all time. You gotta react to “Where did you sleep last nite”, “The man who sold the world”, “Lithium” and “Rape me.”
You’re the best reactor in the game.
Zach Foster heart shaped box is my personal favorite
Oh you mean waif me?😉
Nirvana is overrated IMO. Inflated perception due to tragedy... just my .02c. Still a good band. Just not up there with Led, Pink, Stones etc
Mac I agree that they are a tier below led, pink and the stones but I’d still put them in my top 10. Kurt’s death added to their legacy but they were already the biggest band in the world at the time of his passing.
It's so real seeing reactions to other groups that someone's never experienced. I love anyone who gives all music a chance. You might not like it but you appreciate it. Respect!
Wow i cant believe you didnt do nirvana yet....it was one of the first alternative bands all artist loved in the 90s exspecially smell like teen spirit.... the other most popular amongst all genra artist is
Red hot chili peppers 'under the bridge'
They are from the Seattle area. Nevermind was such a huge album they created a new music genre to classify it. Grunge music.
Shaq: I need some lyrics!
Weird Al: Boy have I got a song for you
Yes!!!! Plz shaq do Smells like Nirvana by Weird Al!
You're reaction is exactly how we felt when we first heard it, welcome to the club
When he said Come as you go it actually physically hurt my heart 😂
When he said, "i gotta pull out the lyrics," i started laughing. Cuz i knew that would make him more confused.
“I don’t know the lyrics.” Dude, same... Only heard this song a billion times as a 90s kid.
Dude for real tho. I’ve never been able to understand and honestly never cared...
lol damn that's so true
you dont know the lyrics to Nirvana songs you just feel them! 🤘🎶🖤
kurt said melody comes first and music and lyrics are afterwards. so its not really that disrespectful to not know the words. You can hear what he wanted you to hear.
7:26 Fun fact: When Kurt ended the guitar solo with the last note, he held it for the entire last verse until the next “Hello”. Wow
React to Black Hole Sun by Sound Garden Pleaseeeeeee
Hell yea!
Hell to the yeah please do this one shaq
Definitely and either Day I Tried to Live or Rusty Cage.
Yes definitely
his face would melt! #NoFaceShaq!! 😁
Shaq's gonna be the Nirvana of Reactors:
One of the Greatest.
No offense to shaq but how can you be great at reacting lol
@@samuraijack3187 watch more of his reactions, and you will see. There's a reason he's shouted out in songs, in other people's music videos, and has like a million or close to it, followers. Nolifeshaq is tha shiznit!

Samurai Jack , None taken man. Shaq's stuff is just quite different from others. Just watch some of it and join The NoLifeGang🤙🏻
The band is from Seattle one of the greatest grunge bands ever.
The lead singer Kurt Cobain committed suicide by blowing his head off with a shotgun April 5, 1994 in Seattle Washington I was nine years old when that happened and I can still remember finding out the news and crying about it because we lost a true genius RIP Kurt Cobain.
robert hughes april 8th was a bad day i was 14
What’s awesome is that on one of his tours, Kurt Cobain made this song in a Van on the way to his next performance and then played it at that venue. The dude is awesome!!
at 7:45 when shaq explains the nuance he just experienced. That made my day. "This dude just went through so many mood swings. hold up" Best shaq moment on the entire channel. great vid
Seattle, formed in late 80s, this came out September of 1991 first week , I was freshman in high school , nobody understood what he was singing 😂😂😂🤘🏻
Me too man.
“WHY YOU YELLIN AT ME”
I felt that.
As I read your comment 😂😂
Mason Cardona 😂😂😂
"Come As You Are, "In Bloom" by Nirvana
Do Jimi Hendrix
"All Along the Watchtower"
YES!
Yes indeed
He needs to know about the goat for sure
Oh hell yeah! Nice request!
And "Hey Joe"
Shaq: I done heard this in the grocery store and in an elevator
Me: What kind of grocery stores and elevators you frequent?
I've heard it in my local grocery store before
It’s on fucking everywhere.
I remember when this song came out, I was in the 10th grade, I still love it! RIP ❤~Kurt~❤
The band that single handily killed the 1990's glam Rock with this song, thereafter coined the term, Grunge was born!
80s glam rock
Nirvana is from Washington state “my home state” they basically from Seattle! “My home city” Kurt Cobain is from Aberdeen Washington. But made Seattle huge in the 90s. RiP Kurt 🖤
Isaac Casanova he was In Olympia, Washington as well.
Paramount theatre... memories
Yes good info.
I’m an hour from Aberdeen! 😃🤘🏼
They were really an Olympia band that took over the Seattle scene
Shaq I don’t know why I enjoy them so much either, but ur rock reactions are special bruh. I enjoy myself every time
When he first said he never heard it I was like wtf, surely everyone knows this song
Bro I'm late but it is so refreshing to see someone reacting to Nirvana not knowing what happened to Kurt so just enjoying the music. You understood everything necessary. You are a legend my friend. RIP Kurt 4ever. I'm a 24 year old german dude btw. Nirvana will always have an impact on every generation i guess. That's what quality music is defined by. RIP Kurt. You are an inspiration to this day, eventhough you probably didnt wanted this❤
From Seattle: 90’s Started Grunge Music, Lead Singer Kurt Cobain Killed himself . He is referenced in All General of Music from Hip Hop to anything. He was Hardcore AF. & the Greatest at his Craft. ♎️☝🏼💯
Grunge was around in the late mid/late 80s.
Soundgarden was around well before Nirvana, nirvana just happened to be the first to hit it big
I’m not convinced he killed himself. I firmly believe Courtney is behind it.
Dtp I’m glad I didn’t have to say it. 100%
Zane bravo bravo, I wrote that message in .0 seconds your rep once was hours on google . 👍🏼
@@FUJOE-2023 Investigators found shit on her computer.

Crazy
Kurt Cobain was a voice of a generation for the 90’s, he represented all the kids from broken divorced homes
Legend.
But he didn't want to. He was just being his own tortured soul self.
Jason H I remember some interview back then where he talked about that. He wanted to play music. He had no desire to be an idol. Man. That’s the type of artist I respect and love. Someone not in it for the money and fame.
May they both rest in peace. Thanks for reacting Shaq 😊another great reaction video!
Nirvana: In Bloom; Heart-Shaped Box
Audioslave: Like A Stone
Stone Temple Pilots: Creep
Soundgarden: Fell On Black Days
*reluctantly adds* Pearl Jam: Jeremy, Yellow Ledbetter
Reluctantly adds? Does the world not like Pearl Jam?
I was so excited reading your list, but nothing reluctant about Pearl Jam.
also Stone Temple Pilots: Sour Girl is so good
Isaiah Allen love it so much.
billythorson They don’t have a “regular” song tho dude. All their songs are unique in there own specific way.
The chorus is: “With the lights out, it’s less dangerous, here we are now, entertain us, I feel stupid & contagious, here we are now, entertain us, a mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido”.
“Yo this man just yelled at me for the last 5 minutes! What did I do to deserve that”!?!?!? LOL that was funny 😂😂🤣🤣
I've seen a few on here that have never heard this song and I just can't believe it, this was one of my all time favorites as a kid and now
shaq you GOTTA react to Prince's guitar solo in "while my guitar gently weeps" at the rock and roll hall of fame show, it is face melting
I just left this video to watch that pure greatness on display never saw it before now I will be rewatch and telling others to watch thanks for the suggestion
Never forget, that Prince came there planning to show out. He had just been snubbed by Rolling Stone Magazine and ledt of their top 100 greatest guitar players list. Prince came there to prove to all the Naysayers the he was one of the GOATs
Fuck yeah! One of the best guitar performances of all times!!! Prince is truly rock royalty and I don't think he ever gets enough respect.
Need to listen to heart shaped box by them!!!
