    Well done by the interviewer to let Richard flow like he did.
    Got so much by saying so little.
    Love you Richard.

      I didn't start to get well until Jesus saved me and how that ties in is that the world itself and the fallen in it and the temptations of it are a poison and a trap cleverly presented as success. Richard was at some stage of realizing truths of worldly existence as we know it. I hope he kept going; yet I'm saddened by his sorrow here and I hope he found the joy of The Lord (and it looks like he did!). I love his personal accountability and the maturity and humility it took for him to that point.

    It’s frequently the case that those rare comic geniuses, who come our way only every so often, also struggle so hard with psychological and emotional demons.
    Richard Pryor was one of those geniuses. I’m so glad he came to terms with it all, and made peace with it all before he died.

    Deny it if you want, but I gaurantee you without Christ you will always be missing something.
    I know because I was that guy. Then I accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour and woooosh, gone was that lonely lost feeling and in came the Peace.

    Perhaps I am wrong, but Pryor was still not being as honest and real as he would be later in his life.
    In this interview I don't see any of the after effects (scars and burn marks) from having accidentally lit himself on fire while free basing coke and running to save his life while on fire, do you?
    This means this interview was done before he really had hit rock bottom and had to be truly honest with himself and the public.

    • @PrettyFinessa
      @PrettyFinessa Рік тому +2

      How can you measure his honesty ? Why do you think a fire is the only low he has hit ? There are many lows in peoples lives. You don’t know the battles this man endured or the levels at which he became aware. People like you are so entitled, to think you know how honest a human is being while battling different things in life is sick & strange. The problem with the “public” is they feel like celebrities owe them their personal lives & should really just enjoy their talent!
