Simply the best cover of the solo I have ever heard from so many other UA-cam covers. Others like to overdo it a little, but you sir... you.. you stick with the original and that's how I like it
Good job, Jerry... Ever try doing the Gaines/King part of the Live version? the thing people don't realize is in the Pronounced version, Allen actually took 4 takes playing the solo, they then took the best two takes and a short section of another and mixed them together. And that's what you hear on the album.
Well I guess the first time i attempted to play this solo I was maybe 13 years old, I could play the first part until I failed miserably on the quick parts. Since then I've just messed around to it a couple of times and maybe tried to nail the quick licks. But I probably had the ability to play this properly like maybe 1,5 years ago but it was last winter that i decided i should listen to it and try to learn it more carefully, and that's when I got all the fast licks playing smoothly and so on.
Amazing solo cover!! I wish people would start to do covers of the original, full solo done by Allen Collins which is about 7 minutes. But still what a talent to be able to play this!
I'm guessing you mean the part at around 0:32 Use your index, middle and ring finger to bend the 18th fret of the B-string and let it ring, then pick the high E-string with your pinky on the 18th fret and also let that ring. Hope that helps.
Dude, this may legitimately be my favorite cover of Freebird on youtube. Fucking awesome. Would you mind telling me my amp settings? I'm playing out of a Peavey Envoy 110 so I know I won't be able to perfectly emulate anything but your tone in this video is perfection
While i agree that this is probably one of the best covers (the improvised outro part is amazing), you really should check out another unrecognized cover from this guy: watch?v=5afgTb9HLxI - his technique and attention to detail is unmatched.
Did you use tabs? How did you learn it? I can't read tabs and I learn through people showing me or videos and I have the beginning of the solo down perfectly from a video but can't find the rest anywhere.
GOTDRAGONS You gotta do it the old fashioned way man, learn it by ear. You'll become a much better guitarist if you commit to learning everything by ear.

Man you are seriously killing it ! Omg, this video has been out for 7 years and it's still the best cover i've ever heard
Finally, I thought you deleted this video 😢 Been searching "free bird solo cover by Jeba" over the years.
I learned this solo with your video!!!
dude ur tone is fucking perfect
work of art 🔥🔥
Incredible timing. Clearly the best and most precise cover I've seen so far
Great job. Just incredible.
Was probably around 16 when I could play it correctly, been playing guitar on and off since I was maybe 8 or 9?
May i ask what pedals you are using to create that tone or is it just high gain or a combination of both.
i have watched this way too many times
Those last couple of runs are genuinely amazing, all of it is tbf 🙌
One of my favorite guitar solos of all time, you really feel like a free bird when playing it!
Mann its amazing the job that you have done to the cover sticking to the original but even so improvising yourself some notes. Thats awesome great!!
Dude. This is perfect. All the little details are there, and you nailed those vibratos during the bends. Awesome.
So nice. Thanks for doing Allen justice. Not perfect, but played with love. Didn't want it to end.
That was amazing, especially that last improvised part!
Best cover of this song by FAR! awesome job
