Got an Audient Evo 4 for Christmas specifically for the loopback feature that everyone was raving about, and when I start testing it out IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL for what I needed. This is literally exactly what I've been looking for and I can't thank you enough for the helpful and informative videos. Absolutely love Presonus, and Joe Gilder.
Hello! I have a doubt. I am currently recording podcasts with a tonor mic and a Behringer umc 22 sound card. I would like to upgrade and purchase a sound card with two mic inputs and another xrl mic. Then I saw this Presonus and I liked it, but I would not have to use the sound card with one microphone and the other via PC and the included software plus a separate daw for the Presonus. It seems like a complicated job to me. Thank you very much for any reply. 🙏
not sure if this will get to you Joe, but I am trying to set this up and my interface is not the same as yours. Just bought the Revelator, my universal control software was wrong. so had to go back into my presonus account and find it. Your video seems outdated and I can't find an updated one. I thought I was tech-savvy but I feel so stupid trying to set this mic up. I can't figure out how to record a sound to test it. I am getting a ton of desk vibration sound. I cannot figure out how to attach it to a boom arm properly. I need a tutor. Is there anyone or anywhere I can go for help on this?
Are there plans to create a control app for the ipad so that a user only needs iPad,mic and cable but can adjust some of the features? So on the go, a user could change the polar pattern from cardioid to figure 8 before an interview or adjust the EQ if vloging in a weird sound environment.Or is this built into Capture? If I understand, UC Surface controls the computer that the Revelator is connected to not the actual Revelator?
hi, Joe, below the Hot Key, I see that you have presets, so first question, the App comes with those presets? and second question? can you change the name on the Mix/Phones windows? for example: change Loopback 1 for iTunes ?
Hello, 1. The presets are built into the microphone as hardware (fat channel similar to Studiolive mixer). But they can be changed on the computer. 2. you can change the names in the mixer as you like.

No matter how you cut it it's still gonna be somewhat complicated for the average user. But once you wrap your head around it, it will all make sense.

The setup on a Windows PC is similar and self-explanatory. With the good manual this is no problem
