  • Join me on my journey as I ruin my hair. 1st ruined it by coloring it with apparently the wrong color. Now I will bleach it and try and bring it back to its color that I want.
I'm honestly really depressed right now about everything that has happened and I just made everything worse.

Your hair turned out strawberry blonde because you tried to lift it with box dye, not bleach, the first time.

So sorry about your mom. I know from experience that quick blue 🔵 and 30 volume is a bad combo. Do not pull on it or brush it. Use masks and deep conditioner. Your hair is very dry and fragile now. Let it rest. Godspeed.

I'm so sorry about your mom, Qua. I think you look good as a strawberry blonde. My hair is so dark I have to use 40 volume. I recently had a bad hair episode too so I feel ya on this one. Despite the broken ends, you're end result looks great. Nothing a good chop couldn't cure. Lots of love to you, Qua!

Your hair is pretty! Trust me, you haven't seen "ruined" until you've seen what I did to my hair!! My long hair broke off in sections, because I decided to switch to bleach instead of my usual high lift blonde color. Big mistake. The bleach overlapped on my pale blonde hair. Had to cut it into a short pixie/bob. Three years later, I'm still trying to grow it long again like it was!

I can still put most of it in a tiny ponytail, but i still have a lot of straglers. I'm going to try the box dye again. If it doesn't work, I'm just going to leave my hair alone.

    Expert opinion here.
If Hair is elastic or chemically fried:
Do not pull on the hair!
    Do not blow dry!
Do apply heat or any hot tool!
Only use cold/cool water on your hair for months.
Get a spray bottle and add white vinegar and water 1:1 ratio and spray the hair. That should smooth the cuticle (shingles on the hair)
It should also bring the hair to normal PH level with time.
Bleached hair becomes a sponge and will be very porous moving forward this is why it soaks up the water and it won't dry and/or take a long time to dry.
Never apply 30 volume if you are not a professional, especially with lightener. 😅
If you damage your hair as seen on the video. Spray water/vinegar mixture, let it sit for at least 5 to 10 minutes, (so it's not stretchy/elastic), then gently comb ends to roots (this how every human should comb their hair if you ever want it to grow long). Apply mayonnaise, or raw egg, smashed banana or avocado with your favorite mask.
Wait a few days then tone with temporary color, purple shampoo or toner if you hair is not turning to powder. Don't shampoo for at least 3 days or a week. The weight of the water alone can break the hair from the scalp depending on the damage.
To help reconstruct the hair and mix cornstarch with some water and cook in low heat for a couple minutes until pudding texture is reached mixture that with hair mask and drench your hair roots to ends with hand palms together between sections of hair. Or flex seed gell. The first week after hair is fried is the most crucial as far as being gentle.
You hair needs to getting plenty of olive oil, coconut oit or jojoba oil (the small molecules will penetrate your hair) or your favorite oil.
Oil and/bonding oil is your best friend
Forget your hair exists unless it for treatment or nuroushiment.
Voila! You hair is very likely to stay on your head and breakage should be minimized.
If you fry your roots no more hair will grow back, so refrain from using 30 or 40 vol with bleach and trapping or adding heat and/or leaving it longer than 20 to 50 minutes depending on diameter and health of the hair.. That's a sure recipe for disater

      @Tesseus2006 26 днів тому +1

@@learningwithqua6136 This is why I try to educate I am not a teacher, but I know how that stuff works. People think bleach aka lightener is like hair color. It literally eats away the integrity of the hair. One compromises color for hair health. With the understanding that they will nourish and take care of that compromised hair. Your hair seems pretty fine. It's a miracle it turned out beautiful at the salon. But now your have all the info/knowledge that can help you and many others. Oils, bonding oil and masks are your best friends right now. Grease does porous hair good.😅 ❤️🙏🏽 Plus brushing from ends to roots regardless of hair health.

True. 20 volumes is the max. You can use it 2 to 3 times in a row. Preferably with a week in-between each bleach. Anything higher than 20 volumes is never necessary. It will not least ghten your hair "more". It may bleech a bit faster, but it wil destroy it.

I hate the color on me, so I decided to bleach it out. 30 volume with bleach and I melted my hair. It's almost done growing now. Box dye isn’t going to lighten your hair nearly as much as bleach, or even boxed bleach. It’ll lighten your hair a little because of the developer, but that’s it. You can even tell by the before and after pictures that the dye you originally used was meant for hair that was already the same level or very close to it

A bad 15 years hairstylist, i see 😑 Are you dumb, or crazy? I'm not even a hair professional and only watching the right people i know as the first rule that for bleaching, the more dirty and oily the scalp and the hair, the best, and for coloring, it has to pass at least 24/48 hours (it depends if oily or dry hair) after the last washing to let the scalp create again its natural barrier. Stop lying!! All of the "professionals" like you, the only thing you want is money making things faster covering the real damage you do in your client's hair with tons and tons of silicones. The AUDACITY of saying the hair has to be clean, OMG 🙄 Maybe it penetrates better the hair, but damages the scalp and dryes/breaks the hair. It's just like the bleaching process. All the "professionals" do it in 2 sessions: the current day and the day after or the second day after. Em, hello? It has to pass 1 f*cking month between bleachings for letting recovery the hair 😒
