Diehl Junior C 10 AJ17 Oscillating Table/Desk Fan

An old Diehl Junior oscillating table/desk/wall fan model C 10 AJ17.
Perhaps I'm over-thinking it, but the oscillation mechanism appears to be a little more complex than meets the surface, and something isn't working quite right.

I enjoyed the video of this vintage Diehl osculating desk fan , I hope you can get the oscillator functioning properly and replacement of the power cord shouldn't be a problem . I would like to see a part 2 of this.🙂

My grandfather had the same exact fan but it was cyan instead of like a bluish but the fan had a very high pitch blade because my grandfather wanted more air so he bent the blades a little bit

Judging by the cord job and cage being upside down, it was probably put together wrong on the inside too. Nice fan overall.

I disassembly and cleaning it.
I forgot assembly order inside motor part and attached.

Open motor body axis dissemble and assemble

The mechanism for the oscillation will have several holes where you can screw the thumb screw into, the one that is the furthest from the center will oscillate with the widest path, and the one closer to the center will be more narrow like what is going on there. That is how a lot of those old lower end fans work. That one looks a bit strange, but I would guess it is something like that.

Never clicked so fast lol. That's a nice vintage fan ! Why people Can't put the front guard properly with the name tag on the good side. in my book being in this condition giving the fan a cool style. Didn't have to watch the video before commenting because I knew this fan was neat.

Cool Startup Sound bro but it's kind of weird that the oscillation is not operating right it's possible that this could have been one their cheaper models which would explain the reason for the oscillation problem but hopefully someone can tell you how to fix that issue good video and I enjoyed it
