    mark needs to do a series of lectures on economics and post them online. his ability to translate concepts that only the heavily vaccinated can understand into plain english is first rate.

    Miners, writ large, should do very well in any Green Transition. Though coal is condemned, and may be eventually abandoned as a power source, many other materials will be needed in vast quantities to provide for electrification. If there were to be some set of technical breakthroughs of sufficient magnitude to make solar generation north of 45 degrees latitude carbon neutral, an increased supply of mined materials would be required to construct the needed power generation, transfer, and storage capacity. Wind and tide generation of electricity, though not facing Solar’s diurnal-nocturnal periodicity challenge, still requires increased power storage and transmission infrastructure.
