Great school, but the days of cool shows is long behind it. My first exposure to massart was through going to shows there in high school and once I got there, the student body had little interest in booking shows and bringing touring acts through. Real shame.
"Frank" here would be Rop, who played in the band Semiautomatic. He is great, and currently does a lot of work with dogs / animal welfare. semiautomatic5rc.bandcamp.com/

@@bensisto thanks for the great upload man!
my mind hasnt been blown like this in a long time
It was very clear that Zach Hill was capable of any art form. Let alone being the top drummer on the planet.
25:13 this part gives me goosebumps

The time it took for Trout Mask Replica to be made would’ve been cut in half if Zach and Spencer were the band members for the Captain lol
Damn i think i see jamie from xiu xiu in the crowd, seeing 2 of my heroes in one room is just so weird
Yeah, they were on tour together. Xiu Xiu set is uploaded also.

But you know, we need people like you to make that change and have cool stuff happen again.
They performed at mass art in 2002 but still no date
In my oninion, the only other group that comes close to having a similar je ne c'est quoi is Why I Must Be Careful

Zach Hill...I mean...my god
Curious, what specific camera or camcorder did you use?
A mini DV from 1999 or 2000. Something like the Sony Handycam DCR-TRV107 - might not be the exact model.
frank reynolds and rickety cricket mobbin’ in the back

Fucking iconoic
Could be North 181. But then again a lot of the rooms looked the same.
It was renamed 181 later on. This was North 175.
What was it like being an east coast art student somewhere like here or RISD in the early 2000s?
It was very cool.
