How good is the MX Master 3S?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 жов 2024
- The MX Master 3S is the best mouse I’ve ever used. It’s 90% quieter than the MX Master 3 but retains those seven customisable buttons along the top and thumb rest.
Horizontal scroll makes light work of any timeline and with 8000 DPI, it handles beautifully.
You can switch devices with the tap of a button and you can even keep working while it’s charging. Now who in the world would have thought of that?

Bro really threw shade at the Magic Mouse at the end 💀 😭
👀
@Hasan Piker that is true, the battery is pretty long
@Hasan Piker I quite like the Magic Mouse too, especially the swipe features. The charging input is objectively bad though.
@Hasan Piker I have the Magic Mouse, I despise it. Terrible ergonomics, inaccurate sensor compared to Logitech, can't press both left and right mouse buttons at the same time, when repeatedly pressing on the mouse, the scroll wheel will scroll down for no apparent reason are the list of flaws that make me can't stand this mouse... I don't have issues with the battery as I charge it overnight but it doesn't make up for all the flaws above that I mentioned.
@@IntentionalTech😂
BEST MOUSE EVER if you are a programmer different key allocations for different applications, the side scroll is an absolute game changer, the scroll is the best scroll I’ve used especially you can switch between rigid and smooth scrolling and and can scroll upto 1000+ lines in seconds this mouse is a work of art
That 2nd scroll is a game changer for sure.
I have one, I can confirm that! I love this mouse
the performance mx was the best mouse i've ever used. easy to swap a single AA battery than have another cable dangling.
I'm getting one of these in the same color next week with the matching MX wireless keyboard.
Love this! I just wish the free flowing mouse wheel isn't so sensitive I keep accidentally zooming. I use ratchet instead
unlike my colleagues, I actually like the click of the MX Master 3.. so I use the 3s at the office and the 3 at home..
I've received two with clicking horizontal scroll wheels! So much fun
So good! Just published a video on the darker one. Game changer!
I really dislike how big it is, it tears apart my hand trying to use it. Gonna get a G502 X Lightspeed or something instead for more comfort.
I had this mouse for 2 months and the scroll wheel started to wiggle when scrolling slow and had to push it really hard to engage fast scrolling. If o pushed to light it stoppes and wiggled. Strangely when I turned it up side down the wheel worked just fine.
You’re not the first person to raise similar concerns. Sounds like I’ve been lucky with my mouse. A real shame if there is quality control issues.
It's my favorite mouse of all time
The only thing I hate about the MX3 is the rubber grip they used, Its an oil magnet. I wish Logi would use the grip from the G602.
Have to agree. The rubber on mine has yellowed quite a bit since making this short.
brilliant video
fax i have this and this is 💯
I’m going to subscribe to this dude because he must be among the last of the tech enthusiast youtubers who doesn’t repeatedly interrupt every minute in order beg beg beg using those worn out words and trying to be so mainstream full of cliché n’ clickbaity tropes whilst appearing and sounding pretentious and unapproachable.
I kid around a lot but seriously man, keep it up, do your own spin on things.
Thanks, mate. Appreciate it!
I had to return my Mx master 3s because scroll issue. It's unusable... Bought 2s and it's great.
I had the same issue with the scroll. I ended up fixing it via the Logitech app. its under the point and scroll tab. went through the settings and it fixed the laggy scroll problem
@@roymead1669how to fix it???
It's a good performance mouse, but not designed for hands of 17 cm.
I have a lot of wrist and thumb pain while using it. Also I do as well have the scrolling issue.
I'm 19cm and it's fine so far after a week.
I hope they fixed the coating. The 3 has terrible rubber coating that makes it sticky over time.
Great video! Does your white version gets dirty easily? I really like the white one but read on reddit many reported it get yellow quite quickly
Thanks! Yeah it does unfortunately. Made a short about it here

Have this for my design work, its quite heavy and exhaust my hand after a while :/
I’ve had this mouse for years and it’s been giving me issues the past year. Stuttering is SO bad it renders my pc useless. Can’t even play games or even click a file you want because it jumps so far from where you started to where you wanted your cursor to go. Had to take my computer to repair because I thought it must be an issue with the pc but they found nothing wrong. That’s when I switched mice and it fixed it. I’ve heard it’s a common issue
Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to keep an eye on its long term performance
I had the exact same issue with my MX Master 2S. It was unbearably bad. I ended up plugging the Logitech Unifying receiver in usb port at the top of my computer case, away from all other devices and closer to the mouse. I haven’t had the issue in a couple of months now. They’re VERY prone to interference.
I bought and returned the mx master 3s in place of the mx master 3. The main issue was that the mx master 3s left and right click had a lot lower actuation force then the mx master 3. this meant that i would accidentally left and right click while using the mouse alot. As a result i had to start semi-hovering my fingers above the button instead of being able to rest them, therefore causing significant wrist pain. I would recommend most people to go with the mx master 3 instead.
Thanks for the review. That seems like a fatal flaw for people who are used to there being more actuation
Can’t agree it’s the best, but it depends what you compare it to 😅
I really wanted to love this mouse but it is so damn laggy to use for work. I play games on the side so I have experienced using a 4k Hz mouse (Razer Deathadder V3 Pro) so it might be why I can't stand how the MX Master is stuck at 125. Went with the Keychron M6 instead and while it feels much lower quality, at least it's 1000 hz and is lighter to use.
what's your setup like? i've a mac and 32 inch 4K 144hz monitor, i was planning to buy it for coding. Does it feel laggy?
My corsair dark core has a pinky tray and I think that would be the cherry on top for me if it had one
nice!
@@IntentionalTech I'm totally considering getting one. It may be my next mouse. I would prefer to have a pinky tray and maybe higher polling but maybe it'll get better with logi bolt when they release or have a logi bolt model
@@JessicaFEREM it does actually come with logi bolt but I don’t have any USB ports left to slot it into 😅
@@IntentionalTech I plan on getting a master at some point, I'll get the bolt for that lower latency since I do game, but not enough to warrant a gaming mouse. plus logi mice are really latency-free, even unifying.
I love most that this is a wired and wireless and bluetooth mouse. I only bought the dark core because it was a big mouse with wireless, wired, and bluetooth.
Yes it is the best but after 2 years daily use the left button isn't working anymore
I sent mine back, got it because of everyone saying it's the best mouse ever. I thought it was fairly heavy, the MMB and side buttons are difficult to press, which fatigues your hand and the poll rate is terrible, I had cursor jumping and cursor movement felt .. jittery? It also felt like it was designed for flat palm grip, i usually do fingertip grip.
But you’re not telling us what you ended up buying. You’re not helping people that are shopping. Anyway, thanks for the comment.
Отличная мышка 🐁 - 2 года уже пользуюсь
Why is quiet a feature? Who thinks to themselves "You know what I want, not know when I've pressed a button!"
I got one yesterday but...for Fusion 360, it has been hard to configure the buttons. Any help Please!!!
Bluetooth issuessss
l hated it
How can you change the DPI? I tried connecting to ghub but it didn't work
Have you got the logi options app?
Did you notice any stains on it?
It does begin to turn yellowish as it ages. Would get a darker colour if that’s going to bother you
@@IntentionalTech Yeah I returned mine, it is very ugly with yellow/brown marks. I will upgrade with the MX 4 if the stain issue gets fixed
The MX Master 3S has one big issue
it's yellowing. buy the black one.
Can it be used with widows?? I like this colour
Yeah it can
Toda vez que eu uso ele trava por alguns segundos aleatoriamente. Just saying
It's terrible. I bought the 3s and returned it for the 3. The 3s lacks the feeling when u click, no feedback and feels weird and soft and lame. The 3 (non s) is miles better usability
How good is it on the mac when compared to mx master 3 for mac?
I haven’t used that mouse unfortunately. However I can say it performs perfectly on my Mac
I am really disappointed with its scroll noise and extension. I have both mx 3 and mx 3s and tought buy the latter would be an upgrade in my setup, but the automatic scrollling is smaller abd noisy thab the mx 3. Did it happened to somebody else?
No mention the new switches feel like absolute crap. It ruins this mouse. the MX2 I have still feels SOOO much better to use.
How about the left hand users?
It’s a great shout. I’m right handed and hadn’t considered this but they really should make left handed options.
What desktop mat do you use?
BeaverPeak
Why on earth does this mouse stutter on m1 mac?
Strange, mine doesn’t but a few people have mentioned that. Maybe switch your Bluetooth connection or check for a software update on logi options?
do you have the version that says "MX Master 3s for Mac"?
@@nojarai No - from Amazon comments the main difference is that the Mac version doesn’t come with the bolt receiver
Returned mine, its terrible for ergonomics.
is scrolling still jittery/not smooth on apple devices?
I’ve not experienced these problems but always have logi options + running when in use and I think that must make it work better
Amazing
I think so too.
do you need to download software for the customising of buttons. my employer doesn’t allow software downloads on their laptops
Yeah, Logi Options +
@@IntentionalTech could i set it up on a personal laptop but keep the settings for when it's on my work laptop
unfortunately not, you have to have the app open while you use it for its settings to be in effect
@@IntentionalTech thanks
❤️
Where’s the ball?? My PC Windows FPS MMOG gaming not-so-secret weapon was always a Logitech trackball mouse! The fastest way to control a mouse. But because it takes a few days in order to become accustomed to it, it appealed only to a small niche crowd, often people with hand wrist difficulties. I turned many gamers onto it, you never go back. Of course the sight of people neurotically sliding some thing around back and forth and bumping into keyboard or running off the “mouse pad” as if they just drank a 5th of Jack, can be a common site.
Cue “it worked fine for me, never any problems for me” responses from the contradictors.
Oh how I miss the internet pre-2015 years (before US ENEMIES AND Filthy rich (some literally) Political DO-ANYTHING-FOR-A-BUCK BACKERS and their PATRIOTIC-PRETENDERS took a massive dump 💩 on the internet, turning it into BIZARRO WORLD where EVERY DAY is OPPOSITE DAY!
It’s probably been a decade since I used a mouse with a ball 😅 - I do wonder whether this mouse is quick enough for high-level gameplay though. I have another Logi Gaming mouse that’s lighter and boasts a much higher DPI that I think would be more useful for gamers.
@Hasan Piker yeah it doesn’t really have a quick enough DPI for super responsive gaming either. Logitech has a separate product line for gamers so maybe look at those
The scroll wheel is terrible
Isn’t it heavy?
I don’t find it heavy but if you’re used to gaming mice then perhaps
I find it heavy, I use for design work and moving it around alot
there is no second best mouse for OSX
Battery??
Best in the business
Me....left handed 👁👄👁
Thanks for pointing this out. Are there many good mouse options for left handlers?
@@IntentionalTech not really which is fair enough that's y I stick on ^non branded^ mouses 🤷
@@avedisgeorge9594 Gutted. Feels like it should at least be an option though. Hopefully more companies start to get on board with accessibility issues.
Hi
hello
It doesn’t feel as satisfying to click when the mouse is quiet
Disagree. Was worried about that but much prefer the quieter sound. I do hate mechanical keyboards cos too loud though for what it's worth.
Not apple
its great mouse, instead of its hearth - poor quality sensor..... So you can use it for everything like scroling web pages , but definitively its not usable for any precise proffesional work... graphic designers 2D 3D - get out from that mouse, maybe new verison 4s would be interesting if they will degrease huge input lag and overall latency due to 30years old polling rate frequency of the sensor.
Do I hear a faint scouse accent?
Haha you do
Logitech mice are the best until Logitech's planned obsolescence kicks in and they start double clicking!
Older Logitech mice used to work for years!
Until they got greedy and decided a mouse should only work for about a year!
Comment
it sucks on Mac
cap . Its the worst scroll Wheel ever. A nightmare to use
qe
This mouse scroll is bullshit..and alot of people are complaining about it too..a 100dollar mouse that can't deliver the meer basic is nonsense
Shit mouse. Esp when compared to the Logitech Triathlon mouse which allows you to change devices WITHOUT lifting the mouse. Logitech can solve the problem - they choose not to to leave for the next version...if that....
The scroll wheel is a piece of shit tho
the worst mouse for anything, gaming, work and it cant do drag click?? and scrolls are worst scroll, never buy it
I’m curious to know whether you have the logi options + app? I see comments like this quite often and it’s just so different to my experience
worst mouse i've ever used! don't buy
not apple
