Thanks Maggie, very good and informative video if a little fast. Had to watch it twice and rewind some sections a few times. I have been trying to learn Bill Bremmers ET via marpurg sequence and when he has done the temperament he tunes 4:2 octaves up to a point and then double octaves for the rest of the treble. Wouldn't there be a sudden jump in stretch at point, whether it would be perceivable I don't know.
yes, quite fast
@ElikemTheTuner & @johny_mac
Yes. I zipped through it because everything I talked about except plotting an inverted harmonic series downward was in previous videos. Do you think I need to explain that more, or is rewinding enough?
@johny_mac As far as tuning octaves outward, I believe there would be a noticeable jump if one switched suddenly from one octave style to another. At least...I believe I would be able to find it. 😉 This is why I don't primarily use octaves to tune outward. I check them, but I use everything else first.
@@PianoTechMaggie I have never seen anyone explain how to find a coincident partial never mind the check note using the inverted harmonic series. One does wonder why the check note is always the 4th step from the coincidental partial. Would be nice if you could explain this a little if you have time.
@@johny_mac I didn't have the "related videos" up when I first posted. They are in the description now. See if this one helps. If not, there are more before this one.

thank you for this video!
2octives+M3 below the coincident partial of any octIve will give you the check note

How so? 🤔
@@PianoTechMaggie excuseme at 6:00 there are the same notes as the theme song of "the little house on the prairie"
@@paulferro OMG! HAHA! I hadn't noticed that. It took another listen to grab it. LOL!
