You ever have these friends back in the day when you were a kid, who either forced you to watch a video game you didn't like because it was too hard but that friend kept playing it all the time you went over & you really had no choice but to sit there & take it?
Yes!! I spent whole summers watching my buddy do that 🤣 I was usually OK with it because his parents bought him everything he wanted. He NEVER let me play
@@RNGGamerYT I highly recommend World with its Iceborne expansion or Rise with its Sunbreak expansion if you ever do decide to get into the series. The newer entries tend to be more beginner friendly while still providing quite the challenge. I put in over 400 hours in my first three months of owning Rise/Sunbreak and have been loving it.
Hardest game i could remember was Driver on the PS1. I was stuck in a parking garage with a list of moves that i didn't know how to do! Worst tutorial in gaming history!

I loved Myst. I almost finished it without help. But I had to get help to solve the last puzzle... Wish I saw this video before I bought Velocity 2x. That game does not seem like a thing for me. But I guess Ill found out if I try it.
Myst is such a classic. I replayed it last summer and there is always at least one puzzle I can't remember. I also finally managed to beat Riven (Myst 2) after many years where I was always giving up near the end. VVVVVV is also quite the classic. I try from time to time to beat the game with the least amount of death possible without collecting the trinkets. Some of those are really hard to get and I don't feel like getting them again lol (I am looking at you "the warning" and "edge games")
I am curious about your random selection method. What do you do if a game gets picked from a series that has older entries you haven’t played yet? Do you play the older entry first, or stick with the selection even if it means playing a series out of order?
@@RNGGamerYT It's not the same game, it's a roge-like kinda of sequel. I'm curious, but have a lot of things to play before even thinking about buying it.

@RNGGamerYT if you want some advice, max out your Launch skill and get multi-launch which is the last one in the tree. Takes a while to get there though. Levitate is great too if you don't mind being exposed and can shoot from the air pretty well
F-Zero GX. Especially the story mode in that game is VERY difficult, even moreso on the harder difficulties. Insane objectives, tight time trials, blatantly cheating as well as rubber banding AI, you name it. However, leaving all that aside: this also is one the BEST racing games ever made. Tight controls, great visuals, smooth 60 fps, gameplay that pumps up your adrenaline at 2000 kph. A triumph both in difficulty and in quality.
@@RNGGamerYT It took a while, probably because many FMV project in the 90s were so expensive and flopped pretty hard, hopefully this time it sticks better and FMV becomes a part of normal gaming.
Trials Fusion is so much fun! I was really into it a few years back and I felt so accomplished when I finished every track. From my personal experience, Celeste is the most difficult game I’ve ever tried. I died 900+ times (the game tracks your death total) and gave up at only 34% progress in the game.
You're amazing for finishing trials fusion! I want to play Celeste so badly. It's been sitting on the backlog forever and has worked its way up pretty far
Growing up in the UK in the 8-bit era, most games were incredibly hard. Try playing Jet Set Willy, or Manic Minor, or even Treasure Island Dizzy on the C64
Man I loved Velocity 2x! It is definitely tough, but it is one of those games I kept going back to and eventually earned the platinum trophy! I can see it driving people nuts though. And I've still never played Myst!
I love the Trials series, ive beaten them all so far, i really liked trials HD on the 360. I let my kids play it a couple weeks ago and they quickly quit playing it lol
Myst is one of my absolute favorites. I got all the endings and all but two achievements in the Xbox port without any help. I couldn't be bothered to find the hidden skeleton in the Mechanical Age and getting the best ending in 2 minutes is incredibly difficult with a controller.
I had no idea it even had an Xbox port!!! It's a great game, and one of my favorites from my childhood. But those puzzles are no joke for a 10 year old 🤣
2 of the Myst style games that almost no-one I know has even heard of are: Phantasmagoria and Shivers. Both are very challenging, but are a lot less "where TF do I go." Which makes them much more fun, IMO. Not Linear per say, but 11yo me was able to figure out most things without looking at a guide (pre-internet mostly).
I've actually covered Phantasmagoria on the channel before. It is one of my favorite adventure games. Shivers is one I haven't tried, but maybe should 😅

Some of which used quucktime elements for movement, others actually used the original 3D files so you are not limited to images and you can actually explore the Islands. In later editions, the piano in the rocket was made easier, which was really helpful since I didn't know how to recreate sounds I'd heard on a piano.
You mentioned two of my favorite games ever in this video. I love both the Trackmania games and the Trials games. I have a video on Facebook of one of my cousins repeatedly failing a jump in the 2nd Trial’s game it took him over 365 tries…😂. We are laughing at him as if we could do better? I will buy each of those games and play until it gets too hard, but have a blast until then. They need to make a new one.
I wholeheartedly agree regarding Trackmania Turbo. The one lap races are hard enough, especially in the endgame, but the three lap races are brutal. On a related note, I'm currently playing Session: Skate Sim, and it caught me by surprise with its precision-based difficulty. Is the latter video game a title that's currently stashed away in your backlog?
Not surprised there's a few racing games on this list. For us the time trials in Hot Wheels Unleashed we're crazy. We finished everything we could in the game and the last few time trials were just impossible that we had to give up!
Awesome vid as alway's buddy . Super hard one for me that i never finished is Turtles on the NES i could never get past the technodrome last stage lol. Trials is awesome aswell me and my friends used to play that constantly for fastest times. Super hard but super fun :D
@@RNGGamerYT Yes it's Brutal. And the Technodrone was so hard for me as well because by the time I got there, I didn't have the turtles or energy to make it through. The battle itself isn't that hard. It was just getting there with all your turtles on board with decent health bars.
My brother and I beat myst and then riven together. Great games for back then. I was maybe 11ish. He was a bit older. It took a while but we got there.
A few games I really enjoy in this one! Holy Diver I didn't have that much trouble beating. I got an original Famicom cart like 20 years ago for just a few dollars, and beat it pretty quickly. I never had that bad of a time with Castlevania games either, though; they just work for me I guess. That one was Irem, not Konami, though, right? MYST was cool as well. I used to play it on Saturn all the time. Velocity 2X I really liked on PS4. I finished it within about 2 days, though I think are 3-4 stages I still need to go back amd get the best rank on. Fun stuff!
@@RNGGamerYT I think it was just a game in my wheelhouse. Velocity 2X was like that, too. You could probably do a whole episode on just Irem games. R-Type, X-Multiply, Image Fight, Metal Storm...
I shouldn't of had GTA Vice City Stories at 8 years old ... but that forklift mission (if you know you know) felt truly impossible at that time. I just picked it up again recently I'm waiting to get a ps2 again but I'm scared to play that mission again lol...
I know you've likely heard this before, but... that first game. I've got one question. 'Is Player made content, and PVP standings' considered part of the base game? What is 'winning' for that game.
To me, winning was just getting a medal on any track. But the game's trophies barely award you for that. So, obviously, they are pushing you to something greater
I liked both Toca 2 and Colin McRae rally by Codemasters, I was even pretty succesful at hardest difficulty there and was leading the championship so that I would have won it without getting any points on rest of the season... But. The game doesn't allow you to lose races and there was one track in both of the games that I just couldn't get through with decent time. After this the game just says that "ur so bad that your team fired you". Although I was basically the next champion. It was kinda tough, but also pretty unrealistic frankly.
I played trials hd like crazy, but never got into trials fusion for some reason. it felt hard to begin with and physics were different I think. android has also one trials game with a story that's actually really nice. trials frontier or smthn.
My friend had Myst back in the day for pc. You always have these friends of yours playing the most boring games ever for hours, days, months & years. I played this game for 5 min, then quit playing it cuz it was too hard & really long.
@@RNGGamerYT For the myst game it was probably 8-10 hours a day for like 2-3 weeks. I was working very little & no school at that time. When I was a kid though growing up in the 90's. I used to spent whole summers at a friends house who lived a couple of houses down on the same street I am living now. He used to play Zelda & Sim City on the Snes & sometimes on his pc. This lasted maybe 2 summers & weekends of course when there was no school. Then in 93-94 I was old enough to travel city buses & metro's. I would now go a 10km distance where my high school friends lived. So no longer friends with him cuz of the high school friends. Now 0 problems with that cuz I play whatever I want on my own time single player games.
Haha, you want a tough game? Take ANY point and click game from the 90s/early 2000s, play them for the first time without googling ANYTHING, and NO peeking at a guide. Often you will know WHAT you must do, but the challenge is figuring out HOW and in which specific order you must do it. Due to hardware limitations of course. And very often the solution is so weird and convoluted it makes your head spin. And the cherry on top? You'll always feel like the worlds biggest idiot when you figure it out. YES I'M LOOKING AT YOU BROKEN SWORD GOAT!

I have a video on Facebook of one of my cousins repeatedly failing a jump in the 2nd Trial’s game it took him over 365 tries…😂. We are laughing at him as if we could do better? I will buy each of those games and play until it gets too hard, but have a blast until then. They need to make a new one.
That's awesome! I probably failed some of those jumps as many times as your cousin 😅
They really do need to make a new game!
I haven't heard of Session Skate Sim. I'll have to go give it a look
Not surprised there's a few racing games on this list. For us the time trials in Hot Wheels Unleashed we're crazy. We finished everything we could in the game and the last few time trials were just impossible that we had to give up!
I don't fault you! The games are made with racing nuts in mind. They forget that the majority of their audience is very casual 😅
Awesome vid as alway's buddy . Super hard one for me that i never finished is Turtles on the NES i could never get past the technodrome last stage lol.
Trials is awesome aswell me and my friends used to play that constantly for fastest times. Super hard but super fun :D
TMNT will tear anyone a new one. Don't feel bad
I'm glad to hear you liked Trials. It's a great series 😄
@@RNGGamerYT It really is buddy 😁😁😁
@@RNGGamerYT Yes it's Brutal. And the Technodrone was so hard for me as well because by the time I got there, I didn't have the turtles or energy to make it through. The battle itself isn't that hard. It was just getting there with all your turtles on board with decent health bars.
VVVVVVV was easy but very fun. Now, Shinobi for PS2?? *IMPOSSIBLE.*
I'm not sure that I would say VVVVVV was easy! But, I'm sure it pales in comparison to Shinobi 🤣
I call this the "Basement Dweller's Revenge".
Am I the basement dweller!?! I've never been called that one before 🤣
iv lost plenty of controllers due to rage quitting lol 😆
I should start a support group for all of you guys. 🤣
I bet there are $10,000 worth of broken controllers mentioned in my comments section 😅
lol I have probably broke about 1000$ worth of controllers myself! I have a rage problem I think lol
@josephandujar-wj5xm I've never actually thrown one or broken one before... I'm probably too numb inside 🤣
Myst about made my mom merc our Gateway...the 90s were wild boy.
The 90s were practically the Wild West compared to now 🤣
My brother and I beat myst and then riven together. Great games for back then. I was maybe 11ish. He was a bit older. It took a while but we got there.
That's incredible! I bet it was awesome putting your heads together and solving all of those puzzles!
Fun stuff!
Thanks so much!!! It was IREM! I realized that right after the video got uploaded.
You're an incredible gamer! Holy Diver is no joke
@@RNGGamerYT I think it was just a game in my wheelhouse. Velocity 2X was like that, too.
You could probably do a whole episode on just Irem games. R-Type, X-Multiply, Image Fight, Metal Storm...
@bananonymouslastname5693 I could definitely do a video on IREM. But I still need to play some more of their stuff 😆
I shouldn't of had GTA Vice City Stories at 8 years old ... but that forklift mission (if you know you know) felt truly impossible at that time. I just picked it up again recently I'm waiting to get a ps2 again but I'm scared to play that mission again lol...
You'll find it a lot easier as an adult 😉
I know you've likely heard this before, but... that first game. I've got one question. 'Is Player made content, and PVP standings' considered part of the base game? What is 'winning' for that game.
To me, winning was just getting a medal on any track. But the game's trophies barely award you for that. So, obviously, they are pushing you to something greater
Oh just wait. If you found MYST confusing, Riven will drive you absolutely mad!
I played it! The stupid strategy guide had a typo in it that made the game unbeatable 🤣
I'm begging any hardcore gamer to complete Inferno Climber on stream
You have me scared... my viewers pick what I stream 🤣
I'm familiar with both games, but haven't played either one. That sounds pretty unforgiving with the whole getting fired thing 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT they let you try again, but you can't finnish the championship.
I played trials hd like crazy, but never got into trials fusion for some reason. it felt hard to begin with and physics were different I think. android has also one trials game with a story that's actually really nice. trials frontier or smthn.
@Tesnopesno the physics felt the same to me, but it had been years since I played HD. No way I'm going to play a mobile version of this 🤣
I was wondering when you'd make another of these 🎉🎉🎉
The time is now!
Also “Bananas with Electrodes” is what we should do for the next panel! 🤣🤣🤣😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫⚡️
Thanks for watching!
Go for it! It only seems practically impossible to set up 😂
I couldn’t beat a single castlevania game just like I couldn’t beat silver surfer last time I played it is when I was like I think 16
All of those games are super difficult! They'll put you in your place for sure
I know a few easy ones on the GBA if you want to try those.
@@Mr.scooter-le8yo yeah I want to know a few of them
@@RNGGamerYT that is true
Aria of sorrow is really good and relatively easy.
Harmony of dissonance is easier but not as good imo.
Trackmania is hard but fun. There are many Trackmania games.
I knew there were at least a couple! You're right, it's fun.. but super hard 😅
I've seen Trials Fusion at my game store for only a few bucks. Never paid attention to it. I think I'm grabbing it today lol.
Grab it!!! You'll have an unforgettable experience with it 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT I def will! I've added quite a few gems I would have never even paid attention to. I'm starting an Earths Dawn playthrough this weekend
@joeynolan304 have fun with it! It is the definition of a hidden gem
My friend had Myst back in the day for pc. You always have these friends of yours playing the most boring games ever for hours, days, months & years. I played this game for 5 min, then quit playing it cuz it was too hard & really long.
How many hours did you have to sit there and watch him play!?!
Comparatively, these games make learning full songs on guitar a breeze (not that it's a breeze by any margin!) 😇😎
Haha... learning full songs on the guitar is a lot easier for me... I've been a professional guitarist for over 20 years 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT I'm getting there slowly but steadily, yet killer solos will always demand full-on crazy focus! 🤘
Geting over it is so hard!
It literally looks impossible 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT it takes massive amounts of patience 🤣
@SuperRetroForce more than I have 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT same here🤣
When you first started talking about myst I was expecting baba
Baba?
@@RNGGamerYT Baba is you, super hard puzzle game
@ajculum723 ah, yes! I have it on the Switch. It's in my backlog
Oh.... I've been there. Trust me.
Never once have I played an old school point and click adventure game that didn't drive me up the wall with its esoteric nonsense 🤣
Thats why cheats is helping in crappy games
We all do what we have to do 🤣
Myst was made with Hypercard so you were not that far off. The sequel Riven is significantly harder.
I forgot about hypercard!!! Haha. I'm glad I was close 🤣
I had the strategy guide to Riven, and it had a typo on the next to last puzzle that made thr game unbeatable.... I've still never finished it 🤣
It was frustrating
I bet it was
But what about?!.... well, you know...
Someone just quoted this, "Good games done quick said Holy Diver is what Battletoads wants to be when it grows up"
That last one doesn't sound that difficult to be honest. Maybe I have a female mind
You're probably just a lot smarter than me 🤣
R u ok?
I'm coping 🤣
I hate Myst!
Really!?! Why do you hate it so much?
0.2k subs in 18 days?
Bro fell off
(Jk)
It's hard down here in the youtube mines.... 🤣
@@RNGGamerYT I came from reddit yk...
Thanks for coming over and giving me a shot. I hope you enjoyed the content.
It's been a slow couple of months on youtube. I'm hoping it starts to pick up soon.
@@RNGGamerYT Your content is solid
But your thumbnail is pretty weak
Try to watch some videos about Thumbnail & Color theory exponnentialy 👍
@Lifefacts07739 you're absolutely right about my thumbnail work. I need some serious help with them.
I've consulted with some other "experts" on about youtube and they both said, "well, your thumbnails seem to be working since you're growing very quickly for your niche." My CTR is usually pretty good... I think.
But I know they are weak. I really need a thumbnail designer
Were are The hard ones?
Uh huh....
If IGN thinks it's good, then it's probably quite bad.
They really can be all over the place!
