Hi Jeremy. Having recently bought my first keyboard (Korg EK50) i felt the owners manual was not particularly helpful. Your video was fantastic and made understanding a lot clearer. Korg need to get you to write their manuals
I've watched a lot of Jeremy's reviews and the Korg EK-50 is the only time I've seen him do an actual tutorial on the functions and use of any specific keyboard. To me that really says a lot. I'm buying this board.
Me too but i cant figure out how to save a setting. Each time I come to play I have to adjust metronome rhythm and tempo. How can I save them? I don’t find the instructions very clear. How do I save my settings, Jeremy See? I asked my AI but it uses terms not in the user manual.
Thanks so much Jeremy 🙏, you have made my purchase of this amazing keyboard easy and informative 😀. For more than 15 years I've been a Yamaha guy and although I love my MOX8 and it's been a great workhorse keyboard, this new Korg EK-50 is a great addition to my bag of keyboard tricks for my studio. You rock!
Thanku sir, i have a korg ek 50in. This video is very much useful to me right now. Because i am a new person to operate this keyboard. And your videos help us and also understand a lot to me . We get a very nice videos to u. Thanku sir. From India /kolkata /Dum Dum /chhatakal 💐🌷👍👌😀
Great to see a tutorial posted!!! Korg just can't be bothered with our EK model ..thanks J for taking time out to do this ....it's handy to make a quick headed note on a single sheet as a reminder for the hidden 'shift' button functions ...this board is so simple when you get into it ...so much easier than the PA op.system.. Another handy tip is being able to toggle between two buttons ( one on and one off ) hit the two together and they auto switch on and off . Korg have also placed several sets adjacent which work well together if you notice, so you can simply +/- between some suitable sets on the fly .. Thanks J ...korg owe you one!!! Keith
Hi Jeremy, I am so grateful for the demo and tutorial for the Korg EK 50... now all I need is the money to purchase this amazing unit.. most probably before Christmas...
One of the best information for any aspiring buyer like me or who already bought. Great stuff. This helps to anyone just jumpin' directly to use it instead of flipping the user manuals and messing it up. So many times good products are become not usable because of the lack of manuals or user guidance. This video solves this issue. Thumbs up!
This is it! This is the video that made me finally decide on which keyboard I'll be buying and oddly enough, it's not this Korg model, but the Korg XE-20. I was teetering between the Casio CDP-S350 and the Casio XP-S3000 because I wanted an 88 key piano with arranger functions that I can stick in a closet when I'm not playing. The Yamaha DGX is too big and to be honest, too expensive considering the competition. But the Korg keyboard preprogrammed sound sets, arranger functions... two intros, four variations, and two endings... along with the additional easy on/easy off sound layering and simple effects editing on this and the XE-20 Korg seem to be way ahead of what the Casios I mentioned can do. Plus I love the fact that I'll be able to load additional Korg styles for free ... even if I don't like some, free is free. Korg wasn't even on my radar until I saw your videos. I used to play in a band for fun years ago. I owned a Korg Poly Six, Korg SP-80S piano, a Korg RK-100 keytar & EX-800 module... all professional level instruments. All I want to do is sit down and play without a whole lot of fussing around, and the XE-20 is the closest thing that checks off all my "boxes". THANK YOU!!!
Excellent tutorial, Jeremy! And perfect timing for me - I just picked up my EK-50 Friday. It's my first arranger keyboard after many years of "playing" piano/keyboard. What a different experience! Appreciate all your informative videos. But this one is different. Frankly, this is the tutorial Korg should have made!
Hi again Jeremy ... I just received my Korg EK50. Prior to it arriving I had watched this video several times so I had a head start when I began to play. Thanks very much.
i bought the EK-50 two weeks ago(thanks to your reviews on similarly priced products!) and I already figured out half the stuff in this video myself but I was struggling with the rest. your video was all I needed, thank you. one thing missing in this video was information about some of the style buttons, but i guess it is covered in your in Depth features video.
thank you very much,I have big problems with the owners manual, now I beginning to understand the bottems, (I bought the Korg EK for the magic piano , plays almost automatic and very fast)
Hey Jeremy, Based on your reviews and training I purchased a Korg EK-50 and am very happy with it. Thanks so much for your clear and detailed instructions in its use!
I've been playing from my Roland D-20 and XP-10 for a very long time. I've been toying with the idea of getting the EK-50 for the last several days. Your videos based on this keyboard has really helped! I just ordered today. Thanks J-See!
Jeremy, Following on your extremely useful 15 tips for the Korg EK50, may I suggest a video demonstrating your favourite EK 50 registrations. Some of the sounds in the 15 tips demo are stunning.
Hi Jeremy my heartiest congratulations to you . I have just now purchased a Korg ek 50 seeing your videos, but I don't know about its function. However this video very useful to me. I want more function about the key board especially how to erase the bank and to set up new registration. Thanking you with heartfelt greetings
Thanks for your work and videos Jeremy. I was so nervous about getting into learning keyboards after 20 years! I have watched a series of your videos and you have made me feel so much better about re-learning music and keyboards again. I agree with some of the other viewers, Kong and Casio should give you the job of writing their Keyboard Manuals and doing the instruction videos!!!👍🏾👍🏾💎💎
Found your tutorial and demo videos at a great time for me, and really helpful. Thanks so much Jeremy. I have only had my EK-50L for a fortnight. These videos have speeded up my learning curve. I have been playing for a while but it is better and a slightly different system to my defunct Roland Bk-5. Thanks again. :)
Amazing video master Jeremy, very clear, very straightforward very fun to watch and a very good learning video for EK50 users. I just bought one and I cannot wait to have it here with me and apply all you teach. My cup of coffee will be there for you.
Hi Jerome thank you for all your videos. It is very useful. I recently purchased Korg EK 50 based on your suggestions. I love the keyboard. It sounds great . but I am not able to figureout how to choose sounds after sound no 176. Could you please do a video on it or can you reply to this post explaining how to reach all 702 sounds in this keyboard. Thank you
The individual sounds reside in the 'Sets' total Sets are 176 and the other individual sounds are in Set Part 2,3 & 4. You have to experiment , turning Set parts on or off. This had me stumped for a while.
Wow Jeremy it sounds easy with you iam going to get into it it’s on my desk I will okay tomorrow and sit in front and watch your videos I should be okay amen
Fabulous...my Korg EK-50 arrives tomorrow and I am ready, thanks to your amazingly detailed videos, to hit the street running. You have the best vids on this topic. Do you have lessons?
This is a fantastic video - thinking of buying one of these, and this is the best way to see if it a good choice for me. Any chance of a video demonstrating using the sequencer to record a simple multi track song?
Hey Jeremy, I took your advice on buying the Korg EK50L. Thank you for making my purchase a lot easier! I own the Roland Fantom s, which is a beautiful instrument, but very intimidating for me. The Korg I am sure will be a lot easier for me in what I want to achieve. Thanks again and you have an excellent channel in which I’ve subscribed too. Keep up the great content. Take care.
HI Jeremy. Thanks for your excellent videos. I was considering a few different keyboards and then I came across one of your videos on the EK50, and I ended up buying one. I'm very pleased with it and I've sent you some coffee money
Jeremy is it possible to get Indian tones and styles . I looked in Korg website but I was unable to find . Can you please guide me in the right direction.
Hi Jeremy I order just the KE 50 limitless on internet music shop in japan as I’m residing in Japan I paid ¥32,780 including tax around $246 can’t believe it ,I will used with my yamaha psr E473 Thank ‘s again for the review you deserve lot of subscribers
Hi Jeremy thanks for your helpful instructional videos but can you please tell owners how to access all of the 700 voices. I have owned the EK 50 since last March but did not know for a long time how to find all the voices. If you press shift and upper 1 at the same time you discover all 20 plus pianos then the same with all the other category instruments. This opens up a whole set of wonderful sounds. I have never heard this technique from any of the demonstrations ..The piano and different saxophone sounds are amazing in my opinion from such an affordable keyboard. Hope this helps..
You absolute diamond, Geoffrey! Jeremy's tutorial was really good and I will check out more of his videos, but your comment just told me what I needed to know. Bought the EK-50L a few weeks ago to replace my Yamaha PSR-290 (which developed an output issue and doesn't have usb). The Korg manuals are rubbish. I thought the user manual was the quick-start guide! Anyway, I'd figured out how to access some more of the organ and e-piano sounds using 'style' but couldn't figure out how to get to all the listed sounds from the "voice names list" booklet I printed off. Your comment helped me do that instantly and now I'm bursting with excitement! I've started playing as a keyboard player in a live band this year (played bass/guitar in bands for some 30 years) and having access to all those cool sounds finally makes me feel like a bona fide keys man!! Thanks again to you and to Jeremy for his well presented videos :)
I honestly don't know what I would do if you did not have this video. Can't find any really good training or tutorials on this keyboard that teach you what you teach here. Thanks so much. If you can point me to a resource in addition to your videos that help show how to use this keyboard please share.....thanks,
Hi Jeremy, I am more or less a beginner in piano and am looking for a keyboard with more sequencing tracks and an easy user interface. Should I buy the Korg EK 50 or The Yamaha PSR e463 or should I just go for casio ct x3000? I am planning to buy it within 3 months. Please Help me pice the right one for me..... Please do reply!
I can't find the PRS A350 here in the USA. So, do you know what portable 61-key keyboard do you recommend that's best for middle eastern music? Does it have to have an expansion slot/manager? if I buy the PRS e463 how can I get some middle eastern voices into it? and is there a way to assign the imported voices into custom buttons?
Are the keys on the EK-50 narrower than usual piano keys like the CTS-1 is? I just measured my P125 and an octave is 165mm; the CTS-1 is 161mm (I think this more so than the weighted keys might be why I always have trouble adjusting back and forth). Was wondering if the Korg would be closer to the P125
Hi Bro... your doing great in all yours reviews and videos. Unbiased and honest is what we hears from you. TQ so much. I was told that EK50 voices/tones/styles are decade old which was inherited from PA50 and if it's true is EK50/EK50L worth buying. Need your opinion on this please. Hope to hear from you asap. TQ again...
I wish there was a way to actually edit a sound perimeter. I want to add a slightly longer "release" to the overall notes as the release now is far too short (great for staccato, terrible for legato).
I guess I have to watch your video in front of my beautiful keyboard i have another question if I put my USB key behind can I download my music I just made on the keyboard thanks 🙏

Please i am so confused 😕. Can you say how many sounds are there in this keyboard? Is the keyboard having 360⁰ rotatable pitch bend?
I have been a Yamaha player for over 18years. My first time on Korg was last week and I needed this video to get my way out.
You saved the day.
Hi Jeremy. Having recently bought my first keyboard (Korg EK50) i felt the owners manual was not particularly helpful. Your video was fantastic and made understanding a lot clearer. Korg need to get you to write their manuals

Totally agree
So true mate 👍👍👍
I've watched a lot of Jeremy's reviews and the Korg EK-50 is the only time I've seen him do an actual tutorial on the functions and use of any specific keyboard. To me that really says a lot. I'm buying this board.

Hey Jeremy, I took your advice on buying the Korg EK50L. Thank you for making my purchase a lot easier! I own the Roland Fantom s, which is a beautiful instrument, but very intimidating for me. Can the sustain pedal be used as an Expression / Rotary speaker Controller ?
Hi Jeremy thanks for your helpful instructional videos but can you please tell owners how to access all of the 700 voices. I have owned the EK 50 since last March but did not know for a long time how to find all the voices. If you press shift and upper 1 at the same time you discover all 20 plus pianos then the same with all the other category instruments. This opens up a whole set of wonderful sounds. I have never heard this technique from any of the demonstrations ..The piano and different saxophone sounds are amazing in my opinion from such an affordable keyboard. Hope this helps..
"Hope this helps ..." - Thank you so very much - it did!
Greetings from Germany!
Thanks for that gem, Geoffrey. I have only had my EK-50L for a fortnight, just what I needed as I am trying to record and pick things out. :)
How to freeze styles if I change Bank the style is also changed how to solve this problem is there any solution
I honestly don't know what I would do if you did not have this video. Can't find any really good training or tutorials on this keyboard that teach you what you teach here. Thanks so much. If you can point me to a resource in addition to your videos that help show how to use this keyboard please share.....thanks,
Unfortunately, arrangers are very much neglected by Korg.
Thanks for your work and videos Jeremy!!!
Dear Geremy
Very informative video. Best wishes from India 👍👏
Please tell me whether I can use it as a MIDI......
Thanx, very useful tips.

Hi dear just bought mine going to watch your video thanks as I am going to take time to study and why not I want to know my keyboard by heart
Hi Jeremy,
I am more or less a beginner in piano and am looking for a keyboard with more sequencing tracks and an easy user interface.
You answered a lot of questions for me great video.
Hi bro How to record my tracks in eK 50
Are the keys on the EK-50 narrower than usual piano keys like the CTS-1 is? I just measured my P125 and an octave is 165mm; the CTS-1 is 161mm (I think this more so than the weighted keys might be why I always have trouble adjusting back and forth). Hi, could you please advise how can I upload Indian Tones & Styles into KORG EK-50
Please guide us how to download indian tones and style on this ek-50...will appreciate....thanks..
Hi Bro... your doing great in all yours reviews and videos. Unbiased and honest is what we hears from you. TQ so much.
I was told that EK50 voices/tones/styles are decade old which was inherited from PA50 and if it's true is EK50/EK50L worth buying. Need your opinion on this please. Hope to hear from you asap. TQ again...
Excellent tutorial! Exactly what I needed! THANKS!
Glad it helped!
Please tell me this or the yamaha spr ew 410 is better for beginner? (and btw is 61 keys enough for beginner?)
Bro, please tell me how to activated the sustain
Thank you Mr. Jeremy for your tutorial. But i still wondering if it is posible to create own made accomp style on Korg EK50..?
