I can only imagine because I love my brothers to death, they’re younger than me so they probably will never understand what the eldest brother feels for their younger siblings, but it’s honestly a very strong love.
My brother took 42 years to find us. The day I met him, I knew he was ours. My Dad looked for years, and couldn't find him. His girlfriend then left the state when my Dad was in the Army back in 42. Married another man, and my Brother didn't find out until he was 8 that he was adopted by the man he thought was his father. I thank God he found us.
I thought he said, “Awesome, dude,” which would make more sense. He even says awesome again a moment later. But I don’t understand the whole backstory.
I love that you pointed that out. It's the simple words/things in life that mean the most. Seeing a long lost relative could be overwhelming for sure, but breaking the ice with that "what's up dude" is all that needed to be said.

I always knew I was adopted; even knew where my birth mother lived and visited her twice in my early 20s. Under the pretext of health backgroud, nothing was revea;ed. It's too long a story but I had heard from her brother (he had also been adopted and had met my biological father) that I had 4 half siblings through my biological father who was married at the time of my conception. There turned out to be 5 half siblings. During Covid with ancestry 123 a leaf popped up that turned out to be a niece. Two siblings had already passed away. I did meet the other 3 but one has since passed away. The one who passed away after I met him had the same name as me and was 4 1/2 months younger then me. There were a lot of indicators that it was like a fatal attraction on my birth mother's part. Very clear indicators. It's a long story but happy to share with anyone who is curious. I was 68 when I met them.
This reminds me of when I met my sister. My parents did something strange and that was they sent her to the Airport to pick me up and didn't tell me, that she would be coming. She was given up for adoption in the 60s. I got off the plane and walked straight up to her and said where is my mother and father, and who are you? She asked me how I recognised her. I told her it would be impossible to miss.
I am very touched by this meeting of brothers. Discovery of a relative with whom you share DNA is not a guarantee of an instantaneously loving unbreakable bond as this channel suggests. Addiction, opposing political, and religious belief systems can indeed negate the "blood" bond one would hope for. Meeting me bio-father and two half sisters from separate mothers was helpful in putting faces to the voids. My experience of meeting DNA relations did not result in happily ever after for us. Inflexible, judgemental and hateful attitudes of intolerance can indeed negate the entire notion that there is a truly intrinsic and enduring blood bond which supersedes all. I am not sad nor forever broken by the reality of my experience. I am strengthened by it, in fact. I wish everyone to know that by building a family-of-choice based on mutual respect one can still be blessed with the same level of joyfulness. Good luck boys. I wish for you the greatest of futures as brothers.
YOUR WORDS ARE GENIUS! SO SIMPLISTICALLY PROFOUND~~THANKS FOR SHARING AND FOR ALLOWING ME TO LEARN AND THINK ABOUT SOMETHING SO VERY DEEP IN OUR HEARTS, SOULS AND SPIRITS. I DO WISH YOU HAD A BETTER EXPERIENCE. THERE IS MUCH MISSED...

Love is magnificent and how wonderful. To be adopted and have both parents die must of gutted him and thank goodness for this day. Blessings to them all
Gosh. I'm adopted, i did my dna about a month ago, results should be in July 11th. This gets me nervous in a good way, i don't know what doors are about to open
Thanks everybody, I'm hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, but it'll be nice to have some answers to things I've wondered about. Luckily I already know why I was given up and it's a completely understandable reason, I'm excited to get to know some other details about where I come from.
I understand how this is. I was given up for adoption at birth and have found so many of my biological family. This makes me tear up. 😢. Sooo exciting though.
I have had similar experiences where I met my grandparents in a nursing home and my father's side that my mother told me we're dead when I was 17 years old. Further, I went to a church in Milwaukee Wisconsin as I recognize the last name is my name and asked if he could be related to me. I told him my father's name by then I knew who he was and the three children that he had with his third wife that I didn't know about till I was 17 or 18. I told him I was also a twin and his wife was very surprised saying I didn't know you had twin sisters. At that moment I was told that my father was this man's father and he was one of two sons that my father had from his first marriage. The reality is is I did not know my father until I went to the nursing home where I met his parents and that's when I found out that I had the three siblings. So ultimately I both my grandparents took care of them as well in the nursing home and I met my father three of his children and then I met the one brother at the church and the other unfortunately I did not meet until my father passed away.I went to a post office where my daughter's father was working as a mail carrier and there was someone there with the last name the same as mine and I asked if he could be related and I said my dad's name and he says I'm your dad's brother. I have continued to be amazed at the frequency that I've been able to meet people that turn out to be related or people that I've lost touch with that just show up somewhere and there they are. It's heartwarming to see relationships that do well when they meet up surprisingly, but my one sad response was that my brother that I met at church didn't want anything to do with my father and he didn't ever make amends with him after 30 years of a separation.
I’m Australian and one of 3 girls from my father’s first marriage, and have a younger brother from his second. My parents separated after one too many affairs by our dad when I was 5 1/2. I Ihad always been a daddy’s girl and it absolutely devastated me, for the rest of my life. I had my dna done last year and I got an email from the dna people saying that there was a close relationship either sibling or niece, and I knew we didn’t have a niece. I saw a picture of her and truly got such a shock, she looked like my youngest sister. It turns out that she was 3 months older than my little sister, so my father had 2 women pregnant at the same time, which is pretty disgraceful. But he never knew about her. She was placed in an orphanage from birth and he was never told. He was a crappy husband but a wonderful dad and if he had known would never have allowed that to happen. He would have arranged for someone in his family to adopt her so that he could be a part of her life, as he always was in ours. She missed meeting him by 8 months, he died in December 2022, never knowing. She was raised near where we live, she even knows an old boyfriend of mine and at one stage we lived in the same country town for 3 years. So many close calls but never met. My mum is still alive and has completely accepted her, as has mums family. She is our sister, so therefore family. She is Facebook friends with my mum, and my dad’s second wife, my brother’s mum (dad’s third marriage was to an awful narcissist). She is so happy to know who she is, something that I have always taken for granted. Her car now has personalised number plates with our surname on there. We get along extremely well and she comes to stay with us. She is a darling, but it is still weird to hear her say dad when it’s my dad. I so wish that she had had him in her life, but we have some videos of ads that he did for tv so that she can see and hear him speak, but she missed out on a lot of love from him, and that is so sad. It’s only been 9 months since we met but she is definitely my sister and I love her. ♥️
Thank you for sharing your story. We are sorry your sister didn't get to meet your/her dad. But this was a touching story. We wish you the best of luck!
My mom was adopted. She had 12 siblings. She was the youngest child. She was 8 days old when my grandmother ( adoptive) brought her home from the hospital. She was 22 years old when she met her family. This is beautiful ❤
My spouse is adopted. She was reunited with her biological parents, full-blooded sister, and three half siblings in her father’s side about16 years ago. The half-siblings weren’t happy that their father had two daughters before them so they don’t speak and the father gave in to their demands to stop communication even though he was happy to meet his daughters. The bio mom turned out to be unstable. Her sister is the only one she has a relationship with. They aren’t as close as she would like them to be, but if either of them calls needing to chat, the other one always answers. You just never know how reunions will turn out.
OMG thank you so much for your comment!!! I'm going to be laughing for a long time!!!! 😂😂😂 I'm sure my ex husband must of thought the same of me at one time!!!!😂😂😂😂😂🎚🙏♥️ from Canada
Different people react to moments of heightened emotion differently. Some people are more dramatic and loud, others are overly stoic and reserved. I've caught a lot of flak for not showing enough emotions during certain moments. Everyone's different and that's alright
@@siiiiiuu7 What he's trying to say is, thanks for not making this extremely special moment all about her and letting the brother have their moment and bond. She's a keeper just for that.
i grew up with a mom that loved the world out of my brother and i, my mom was adopted and she did not want to know where she came from, she had no interest, i did, just because, we did find out our moms biological side, we are estranged from them, dont talk now, i dont really talk much to any of my family as i only talk to my cousin, its just my way of life to be antisocial, power to these guys for finding their family
I found a first cousin through ancestry. It was the family secret that Sonny Tenhunfeld made a married woman pregnant and abandoned them, marrying nine months after his first child was born. Ironically, she looks just like our grandmother and has the name Anne. Our grandmother was called Anna, short for Antoinette.

I've been watching this with a knot on my throat. Life sometimes bring you miracles. Congrats to these two brothers. God Bless!
Thank you so much!
😲 WOW
Wow. What a story! thank you for sharing.
I'm so happy for you guys, finding your brother. ❤❤❤
You right building a family by choice based on mutual respect is just as strong and loving as any family dynamic.
"One can still be blessed with that same level of joyfulness"
Thank you for sharing your story. You are right that every situation is different.
THERE IS MUCH MISSED...

i found my entire biological family after only a few months of looking. AND we all lived in the same state..less than an hour from each other and never knew. I am the oldest of 7 now and i have 3 brothers and 3 sisters. My biological father passed in 2012 I never met him. My biological mother passed a few years ago..and thankfully we DID meet a few times.
It's crazy how you can be so close! Sorry you didn't get to meet your biological father! Sending you lots of love.
I am so happy that you were able to meet and have a wonderful relationship with your family ! You all must have such a great time together !! Blessings from California. 🌻

I hope all good things for you! I’ve known my birth mother’s family for 42 yrs now and love them all.
Thanks everybody, I'm hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, but it'll be nice to have some answers to things I've wondered about. Luckily I already know why I was given up and it's a completely understandable reason, I'm excited to get to know some other details about where I come from.
I wish I could get to see the follow up and the rest of the family meeting with him. This was really so beautiful to watch❤❤❤❤

Strong resemblance. Brothers. 💙💙💙💙💙
You have me crying here. Very touching 😢. So happy for your family ❤
We are crying over here too!
My mom was adopted. She had 12 siblings. She was the youngest child. She was 8 days old when my grandmother ( adoptive) brought her home from the hospital. She was 22 years old when she met her family. This is beautiful ❤
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing your spouse's story. It's true that every experience is different.
Very true. I found and contacted my birth mother in my 30s. Didn’t go very well so that was over.
I have found this channel yesterday and have been watching one after amother video and i have been crying and crying ... And i am 54
Thank the girlfriend for not screaming and performing like a trained seal.
How freaking awesome is that! YAY! Very happy for them!!!
Great brother story ❤
Thanks. We agree!
This warms my heart! Here is something good and pleasant, brothers together again. Thank you both for your service!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you so much for watching!
i grew up with a mom that loved the world out of my brother and i, my mom was adopted and she did not want to know where she came from, she had no interest, i did, just because, we did find out our moms biological side, we are estranged from them, dont talk now, i dont really talk much to any of my family as i only talk to my cousin, its just my way of life to be antisocial, power to these guys for finding their family
Every circumstance is different. Thank you for sharing your story.
It is so sweet. It just brought tears to my eyes. It is a beautiful thing. I am so happy to see you guys to be connected. God bless you all.
Thank you so much!
2:45 "I want to give you a hug again!"
❤❤❤
What a priceless gift. Wouldn’t it be amazing to use that name or name a child.
Thanks for sharing!
Soooo beautiful!
We think so tto!
I'm watching this with a nod in my throat.... Now I can😭😭😭😭😭 Happy for these two, and thank you for your service!
Yes it was a beautiful story. Thank you for watching!
