    Finally! Some UA-camrs see the flaw in Sansa marrying Aegon: that would mean Varys and Petyr would have to work together.
    As much as I like the idea in theory, it probably won’t actually happen.

      Or since Littlefinger blew up the engagement to one of the Tyrells, this may be the chance for Varys to get some measure of him then.

      Idk i feel like an awkward alliance between the two makes it both more likely and more interesting. Its a good ass premise and George at the end of the day is a storyteller

    fAegon marries Sansa. It is the best way to move the story forward.
    If Sansa marries Harry and Harry “dies”, she is Lady of the Vale. Littlefinger by then would have everybody beneath him, so if Aegon, by then, has become famous, it’s very possible that this can be more open to the other lords and the North and Riverlands would accept it.
    And of course, there is the very powerful Asheford Tourney theory, and the Targaryen wins the tourney so perhaps it symbolizes Aegon being the one to win her over- which makes sense because he is a good kid and everything she ever really wanted in a husband. And if she’s married to Aegon, and Littlefinger is by her side, it is the perfect opportunity for her to order Littlefinger’s death after some kind of treachery, because that is the best ending for LF’s story too.
    This gives Aegon 6 of the 7 kingdoms either supporting him or tied/pledged to him, lmao. So when Daenerys arrives, and they don’t get along, she’ll need an ally. Jon will be on her side against the White Walkers but he’s not gonna fight Aegon. Obviously, she can’t pick Cersei. So who is left, aside from Euron Greyjoy? The terrifying man who has already expressed interest in marrying her and seems to not just know what he’s doing, but know what’s gonna happen. To me, this is kind of obvious.
    If Arianne marrying Aegon was actually her endgame, GRRM wouldn’t have released those sample chapters, and not as much of her story would revolve around her father. Her fate is in Dorne, and I think a good ending would be for her to end up marrying Willa’s Tyrell after being in the middle of Dance 2.0. Because Quentyn has been sent to Dany, that knowledge will cause members of Aegon’s camp to be more likely to take Arianne hostage than they would try to marry her. Maybe she’ll seduce him, but marriage won’t be allowed. Aegon is a pawn, just like Sansa. The two of them being married would really neatly bring the story together.

    I think the speech by Varys to a dying Kevin Lannister is specifically for whomever is listening (and like you said Varys would know who is listening) otherwise it's completely pointless.
    And it may not be just for whomever is in the walls (if anyone is) I'm pretty sure the moon has something to do with glass candle communications. Which, imo, is why Varys specifically opens the window before his speech, and why George describes how big & full the Moon is, to draw our attention to it
    And Varys controls most of the spies in Kingslanding, so he can slip Qyburn any information he likes, whenever he wants. So, if I had to guess, Varys wants Qyburn & Cersei to think Kevin's death was Tyrion's doing, and he wants whomever is watching via glass candle to think fAegon is real.(maybe Marwyn, so he can tell Danny) That's the only way the scene makes sense, imo

      @@jjh2456 even if he is really Aegon it still doesn't explain why Varys would bother telling so much to a dying Kevin
      My main point is that the speech is for somebody else, not Kevin. Varys it's a very deliberate man, there's no way he would go into such detail without an important reason
      But it really doesn't matter whether he's actually Rhaegar's son or not, as Varys taught us, power lies where people believe it to be

    • @jjh2456
      @jjh2456 2 роки тому

      @@jsull81 why does everyone want him to be a Blackfyre? Like Varys literally said Aegon is who he is and even that confirmation in the epilogue. You can tell a dying man the truth cause Kevan ain’t gonna tell a soul cause Kevan is dead.

    • @jsull81
      @jsull81 2 роки тому +1

      @@jjh2456 I don't "want" him to be anything, but I do think it's way more likely that he's a Blackfyre. Though, I'm not even sure we'll get a confirmation one way or the other.
      But, again, the point is that giving that speech to a dying man is just stupid. Not only does it not make any logical sense or achieve anything, but Varys knows better than anyone that there's always somebody listening. Which is why I and many others believe the speech was not for Kevin but for whomever was listening
      Otherwise it's just a very deliberate & careful character doing something extremely stupid & illogical simply to give the reader some exposition. Which would just be lazy writing

    I am convinced of the Tywin was poisoned and would have died with or without the quarrel to the chest. I think the original idea was the blame Oberyn, but Tyrion being suspected of his death is even better for team Faegon and the destabilization of the Lannisters.
    Before being condemned to death by his father, learning his brother died, and that is sister is a monster; Tyrion would have never betrayed his house. Varys could never have known that Jamie would reveal the thing about Tysha, or that he would go to his fathers chambers before his escape. But you know what he could bank on? If Tywin died the night before the execution he ordered for his son and that same son had also escaped, only one person would be a suspect. Not only does Tywins death destabilize the family, it gets rid of Tyrion’s help too

    This was so cool guys; wow! Got a bit nervous when I heard my name at the beginning but thankfully my comment wasn't too much of an embarrassment lol. You guys read my mind on so much. I loved this.
    RE Varys- I 100% agree that he was telling Kevan Lannister the truth and he's as invested in fAegon's success as he said he was. My tinfoil theory, though, is that while Varys may have been talking to Kevan, the message was for someone else- the raven that had been perched on the windowsill. After Varys shoots Kevan we're told it flew up, but nothing more. It could've been somewhere else the room or hovering outside the open window. In any case, I suspect Bloodraven was in that bird and Varys used Kevan to relay the message about fAegon because Bloodraven was the single biggest impediment to every previous Blackfyre rebellion, and now that he's stuck thousands of miles away there's not a damn thing he'll be able to do about this one. Nor could Bloodraven have seen it coming because it was orchestrated beyond his reach in Essos (no evidence of Weirwoods there). Think of it as Varys's grand way of saying "check mate".
    RE fAegon/Sansa- The Lady Ashford theory was just a part of that. I also like that pairing because it could allow George to use Arianne/fAegon/Sansa to remix the Elia/Rhaegar/Lyanna, and we know GRRM does reincorporate new iterations of past plots into the present story. If that happened, maybe Sansa and fAegon somehow marry in secret and Varys and Littlefinger are forced into a begrudging alliance (while covertly plotting against the other as they've always done). Lastly, if it were any other Stark child I'd agree that there's no way they'd marry a Targaryen. But Sansa has always prioritized her own self interest ahead of her family's, often at their expense. We have many examples of that. So I think she'd have zero qualms marrying a Targaryen if it meant she could be a queen. In the original plot George had Sansa siding w/the Lannisters against her family; maybe he'll keep the essence of her character the same but change the rival family she marries into? And that's assuming fAegon even marries her in the first place. There are a ton of other good options for betrothals. A Sansa match is just the most juicy in my opinion because of all the tentacles.

      I feel Littlefinger would marry Sansa to Aegon but he may regret it the moment he finds out Aegon's in Varys' pocket. He could try and manipulate Sansa into manipulating Aegon to get rid of Varys only for it to backfire on him and result in his downfall.

  • @retributionpics

    I think fAegon will marry Arianne. Dorne will align with FAegon for the throne. This will obviously cause conflict when Danny arrives. I don't think Littlefinger would want Sansa to marry Aegon. I think he wants Sansa in power up North or in the Vale, while he is made ruler of the 7 kingdoms. Sansa Marrying fAegon, would just leave him with control over the Vale, which he pretty much already has. Also until Sansa gets control over the North she doesn't really have much to offer. The Knights of the Vale might be willing to help Sansa Reclaim the North. But I doubt they are going to fight for her and Faegon to take the Iron Throne. So I think any marriage between fAegon and Sansa would have to be very late in the story. And I don't see fAegon being alive for the end game.
