New sub here. I love how your gardens ribbon through your yard. Very artsy! And I really like that you show the triumphs and occasional fails in your landscape, which is how we grow and mature into seasoned gardeners. 🌱🥀🌷One suggestion...I appreciate that you insert plant names when editing the videos, but adding 2-3 seconds would be very helpful for viewers to read them and perhaps take an inspirational screenshot for our own gardens. Thanks for the tour!
The garden still looks beautiful! This is a difficult time of the season for our gardens to look the best but yours looks great😍 Your neighborhood looks so similar to the neighborhood we lived in when we lived in Plainfield ten years ago! I wonder if they were built by the same builder!
Your gardens are gorgeous and full of inspiration! I live on a similar suburban lot so it’s so nice to see just how much is possible in a typical suburban neighborhood! I bought an American gold rush a couple of weeks ago and can’t wait to see how it does! The raspberry ripple zinnias are a favorite of mine😊. Thanks for a great video!
I think you’re going to love American Goldrush. It’s a workhorse and great for late season color. I wish I had remembered to space the zinnias so they be taller. There’s always next year! Thanks for watching!
My Autumn Brilliance serviceberry is almost in the same spot in my backyard and looking the same after 4 years. Maybe I’ll evict mine too. Fellow Chicagoan here too (NW suburbs).
Beautiful garden. I’m curious - When you’re standing in your driveway facing your house, what is the width of the area between your driveway and the neighbor’s yard to the left? I have a similar spot and I’m considering planting it up and interested in how the size compares. Thanks for reading! 💚
I had to laugh when you were showing your zinnias that didn't grow tall enough. I seeded some zinnias that were supposed to be minis, 10-12 inches tall. So I put them at the front. They ended up 5 feet tall and obscured everything behind them. Next year, I'll plant something different.
@@patriciamcgonigal2688 here’s an article from the Lurie Garden in Chicago that addresses how it spreads. It behaves in northern climates but I’m not sure what it does in the south.
Your enthusiasm is contagious! Thanks for the tour!
My pleasure! Thanks for joining me here.
Thanks for the Sheriff car, that hints at where you are. I didn't catch what zone you grow in, but then I did. 😆 lol You have a beautiful garden.
@@debbyrennock8435 😂 Dead giveaway! Thanks for watching!

Hello and thanks for joining me here! I will definitely take into account your suggestion and extend the length of those IDs. Thanks again!
Great garden tour. Your garden beds look awesome. Lots of inspiration.
Thank you! I’m really happy with how things have come along.
I can't believe that banana, it's awesome! I remember you protecting a bit during the winter but I can't believe it's that hardy. Really cool!
I don’t think last winter was a good test though. It’s protected south-facing location no doubt helps. It’s massive!

Plainfield is a stones throw away. I’m in Lockport and the house was built by Ryland 20 years ago.
My old house was built by them too! Only our old neighborhood was built in the mid to late 90s😀

Love my Proudberry Coralberry too! Just planted this spring.
Isn’t it beautiful?! I put it in last fall and it was quite small. It’s putting some nice size and has such an elegant shape.
Your garden looks beautiful
Thanks Michelle!
Lovely garden, thanks for sharing.

They’re painfully slow and I feel like I’ve given mine ample time to get it together. Eviction is imminent!
Stunning!!
Thank you!
Beautiful! What are the millet looking things behind your north pole arborvitae at time stamp 11:25 ?
Thank you for watching and those are Jade Princess millet.

My drift rose does not get that tall! They are like. 12” tops.and doesn’t spread either. Not sure why. It does bloom beautifully though
@@Tee-py2uohow long have they been in the ground?
