Yup, LS in the 64 would be sweet! You can pick up some crown molding to take care of that crack in the ceiling, just a suggestion. Living room should be your showplace of the home. make it as comfortable as possible. I see your fireplace and if it were me, I would get some river rocks to put around it, rustic look.
House is coming along nice. Nothing ever ends up being easy. I'm sure you and your dad will come up with something very interesting for the 454. Keep at it!!!
I hope ya'll don't get the rain we have over here, right at 20" and still raining. The house is look'n real nice to with the work ya'll have done to it.
Little at a time seems to take forever, but 1 day you'll turn around & it'll all be done - that day will come...l like this house, from what l can see, everything is straight & square - huge plus...l wish l could tell you how to get that strip out from behind that sheetrock, but haven't a clue...from what l can see if you hold grade from the 2nd row to the street, there's probably a half dozen dump truck loads there - that should cover any low spots you have on the property...l like my fan on the motor (if my motor's running - l know my fan's turning) but LS is definitely the way to go (electric fans & all) l believe it will increase the value of the truck...& with the big block - just seems like every time you get in it - it needs gas...your little man is awesome...he wants you inside the house getting ready for the trim to go in - if we're not gonna do that - let's go 4 wheeling...these are some of the best days you're ever going to have...good video
My first memory I can place, is when I was riding the floor sander when my dad was refinishing the floor when we moved into a older house they got for a really good price in Richmond, CA in 1968...
house is coming along great.. like the idea of the ls swap sounds great specially if you dont have to cut frame rails.. keep up the great work and keep on smiling..
You got alot going on. Enjoying the videos of the progress on everything. As things begin finishing up you will appreciate the sense of accomplishment and pride.
Wow you did a great job clearing that old porch out and its looking great now.You did a lot of work inside too doing a great job. That house has a lot of curb appeal now.
The house is looking better. There lots of work, but so worth it. Did you get the siding there yet... I thought you and your dad picked up some nice used siding?
Keep all three eyes open! Don't ever underestimate what they can figure out how to do. My kids would fiddle with the electrical outlets, pop the fuse, and then put the arced-up screwdrivers back in the kitchen drawer like nothing happened. I should have never let them see me performing any electrical work....at least until they were in grade school.
It'll seem like yesterday when he's old enough to get in trouble. I think I was 5 1/2 when I took a claw hammer and was beating on some wood (Wood being my pop's piece of Teak) and using the claw end chewed it up something fierce. oooops.... Sorry pops
your gonna love the power you can get from those Ls they have 6 bolt mains so you you can through nitrous at them or turbo with out having to beef up the bottom end
Hey buddy - just got around to watching the video. Great to hear the updates on the trucks and also to see the progress on the house. That LS swap sounds like a great solution to the issues you ran into with the headers. Oh and before you know it - you little guy is going to driving those two trucks and your four wheeler at least on your property and your' dad's property (ok - don't want him to grow up too fast for you :-) )
The house looks good. I think you are making the right move with the 5.3 4l60e swap. It will be much more driveable, will have power and fuel economy. I have a 64 I put a LT1 and 4l60e in. Let me know if you need ideas for your fuel system. I'm building a 67 C10 that will get a 5.3 NV3500 5 speed swap. Check out my channel and you can see some progress.
Looking good! Use a reciprocating saw and cut the nails, then you can pull the boards down away from the drywall.
harold fisher I don't have a blade long enough

House is looking great. The boy could not be any cuter! I always wanted a 64 short bed with an LS in it but I want a 4 or 5 speed.
I'm looking forward to this
Nice.... living the Carolina Dream
Here in Michigan you have to have 42 inches of them below grade for frost wall

turbothrust348 yes sir we did pick it up. Haven't brought it down here until we are ready to put it up cause of thieves.
Looking great buddy
grandprismatic thank you
Hi greyden sue sue see you looking good cant wait to see it when it is finish keep the video coming in.
Great update. A LS would be cool in your 64
Be careful - If he can start it, he can drive it, just not very well. They see EVERYTHING and figure out how to do it themselves.
Eugene Polan he's got a ways to go before he can reach the door shift. But I definitely keep eyes on him

Like the time I melted the tips of my dad's Multimeter checking voltage across an outlet and the tips touched. Age 10 I think.

Looking good
There is a foundation under ours too but our foundation has to be 42 inches deep, so u come up to grade with brick and backfill
big difference here, water line at 12 inches or less will never freeze.
Go with a small block, put a big block in your 4x4
The LS In the 64 would be cool. Go for it. Good to see you still at it!
👍FINS UP 👍
Hope the 5.3 and 4l60 works out good for you. You wanting a Carter or Holley carb for your 82?
Johnny Burns I'm hoping to find a Carter. Thank you for the support! I think it will do good in the 64
I sent you a package says it will be there Friday.
i want to hear that 454 before you swap to ls
Hey brother, did you get to ask Mr hevyshevy about a quadrajet ?

Maybe the bricks are suppose to be below grade
Noy here. There is a foundation under the third brick, so we could expose all three, but gonna leave it at 2.
