Great primer on the three types! I actually experienced both VR and AR at the pioneering Georgia Tech using beta goggles costing $25,000 to play a VR game throwing balls down into a tube. My fear of heights caused me to fear falling with the balls! Next I was shown AR being used in downtown Atlanta for sight seeing.

While vr and ar is fancy and convenient 'n all. But nothing can come to the real deal of actually feeling, smelling, touching the actual thing itself. What's the point of seeing a delicious hamburger in vr/ar right in front of you when you can't eat, smell, or touch it? The same can be applied to any other physical thing.

Nvidia, intel, or just anything S&P 500 like spy which is a basket of the whole thing you can bet on I mean invest😉 The idea is to invest in the thing they all use but not the most obvious thing like the raw materials involved in the batteries needed for electric cars for example or Lithium... I’m not sold on vR being the thing everyone wants to jump on right now but my idea is a destination VR arcade/amusement park all in one. It would have the necessary up to date best technology and give people the real opportunity to jump off a building but land in a foam pit… or go 1 on 1 w Micheal Jordan .. or have 12 friends drive a F1 cars and get to keep the race for posterity and to share on social as free advertising for the gaming center or whatever the name becomes. The idea is put on the state of the art technology and traverse this mega sized building, like a dicks sporting goods size or bigger, and you and your group pay a set price to get the full effect of virtual in 1 big sandbox! We cant all afford that super hi tech VR technology nor do we have the space required to really go nuts with it so make it a destination event. Birthdays, Corp events, field trips for schools, the applications are endless because it’s a virtual space that’ll change constantly to meet the customers needs. As the tech gets better and people beta test everything it’ll evolve minus the waste that usually comes from companies focusing in the wrong areas. Best of all Microsoft or these other big tech firms could just give their best gear to these locations as well as keeping them updated and in working order to get the customers used to their VR layouts and equipment. Then allow these places to sell their products to the users on their way out the door. So here’s the concept… this virtual amusement park/carnival/space station/you name it sports arena/gym can be configured 1 way every Monday WednesdayFriday and another on each of the other days. Mayb Sunday you take a virtual tour of the The Pyramids and it transitions to a gondola ride in Venice which goes into rough seas on a pirate ship w the Arrrrrr ing pirates and all. Mayb finish up on the Moon where you’re really jumping on a trampoline but since you see space in the head set it’s that much more intense and enjoyable. Plus everything that’s done gets recorded as you’re in a exotic location rather than pretending to be. So you’re creating movies as if you went to the locations in reality. I know VR will eventually be good enough to replace this idea but it’s not right now and besides that, what better way to introduce the technology to as many minds as possible. Disney all in 1 building baby so someone get it crackin because I want to go to 1 of these places ASAP! Lol
@@Geep1778 Yea that's true, chip companies should continue to do well as there is more technology like VR and AR being used. Only thing to look out for is companies like apple beginning to make their chips in house. I'm sure NVDA , INTC,, AMD , TSM etc will be fine in the long run tho
Hmm, many of these concepts seem similar to Tony stark's technology in the iron man and avengers series. To be exact, it's mainly the mixed reality that seems most similar.
Actually all three are shown. Tony's "in-helmet" display is an example of AR. All helmet-mounted displays used by military pilots are essentially AR based. As for VR, the best example of this isn't actually anything Tony Stark uses, but the amazing movie "Ready Player 1". That's all VR. As for MR, the best scene for that is when Tony discovers a new element. Remember how he first asks the physical model of the pavilion to get scanned to create a digital wireframe? After that he starts using interactivity to manipulate the digital wireframe, create the model of a new atom, and so on. That's MR. That digital scanning is also how the HoloLens works in real life

Depends on what you are looking for- hardware tech, software tech, original content creators, outsourcing/co-development houses, business implementation, advertising & marketing specialists in that space...hardware tech you're probably looking at Microsoft, Apple and Nvidia as the top dogs. Software tech, Meta, Google, Apple to some extent...content creators ScienceSoft & Niantic. So I guess the real answer is "it depends"

I think you made an error in MR market cap. You said 300m to 3.9T in 6 years with a growth rate of ~40% that doesn't sound right.
