- It took a bit of magic from Christopher Nkunku for Chelsea to steal the points against Bournemouth, but what did we learn from an unconvincing win? In this video we take a look at how Chelsea made sure Jadon Sancho sparkled on debut, and why Cucurella played as a left sided #10, a role he never played before for the Blues!

You did a masterclass with this video just as Maresca did with Cucurella
Thanks so much bro! For all your encouragement here and on Twitter/X too!
I love how you interpret games, it's just mind blowing
You're very kind, thank you so much!
Thank you for helping us understand our tactical approach. Up the Chels 🔵🔵🔵
Thanks so much watching!
Using Antony's picture for aura😂.... very well done
Hahaha ultimate aura
Bro, this is amazing. We all watched these games and did not even realize this amount of work is going on. Thx
Thanks so much Emmanuel! Yeah imagine, I just did like 5-6 sequences and the video is 12 minutes long. If I broke down the whole game it would take me an hour+. There's so much happening!
Thoroughly enjoying these videos on UA-cam Sam!! I deleted twitter about a year ago because of all the toxicity but always missed your inputs. So this is a welcome move for a lot of folks who follow your work!
Thank you so, so much for your kind words, genuinely makes me very happy!
Love this want to see more for are games this season
Thanks so much for watching! Will do my best, but the calendar may get too hectic for me haha
This is an insane work. Big up Sam 👏
Thank you bro, means a lot!
This is a great and an enjoyable analysis, I saw this during the game and wasn't sure if it was meant or just coincidence. thank you for the great insight, I can share this now with pride and let others also "learn the game."
Thanks so much for watching! Means a lot :)
I've always love your analysis
Thank you for your support!
Great video
Loved it 👏
Thank you so much, my friend!
Good video man
Thanks so much Kevin!
You don't recon other teams try this tactic of pinning Semenyo now, do you ? Given how they were still able to create plenty against us...
Asking since I have him on FPL😂
Haha don't think so! How many PL teams play their LB as an AM? His underlying numbers are excellent. Looks like a great low-budget enabler!
Will you make a video about our oop?
Still ideating for now, once the games start flowing thick and fast it will certainly be tough to do individual match videos so maybe I'll focus on ideas like yours!
Sam didn't you say. Sancho is not a winger? Sure looked like a winger to me, like he did a few months ago at Dortmund..
Yeah he's definitely not a 1v1 winger, or a Maresca type winger in my opinion. Proper wingers like Doku, Gordon do well out wide even without support. Sancho doesn't. I've always thought of him like a wide playmaker; he's closer to a Bernardo Silva than a Gordon, if that makes sense.
@@cfccentral3 Maybe your vision of a winger is someone that can knock the ball past someone and run fast past them. But someone who is willing to face up their man and take them on like grealish or riyard mahrez can also fit that “winger” role. What I saw a dortmond and in the past. Jadon is definitely a winger.
@@vern187 Ah I should clarify, maybe the confusion is more to do with one of us talking about roles and the other about position. What I meant to say was, if you isolate him and ask him to do a 1v1 like Maresca wanted Fatawu, Mavididi to do, he will fail. United treated him like Rashford and it didn't work. You're right about him being a winger because he's always played wide. It's the same reason I don't call Nkunku or Felix wingers despite both playing LW in the past.
@@cfccentral3 That I agree with. It all depends on what you ask a winger to do. Manu definitely requires/ask their wingers to create individual moments out of nothing like a good isolation player in basketball or play on the counter with pace. Not a Sancho strength but can still be a great Maresca winger especially if you have the balance on the other side with a Noni or Neto who can provide those individual moments. Nkunku and Felix are second strikers or free roaming 10s.
@@vern187 Spot on! That's the key for me, since Maresca usually inverts his FB and we don't have 8s that underlap (only KDH does it really well and he's unfit.) Using Cucurella to do it was a nice touch, but that support needs to be there at all times for him.
