Not trying to reduce you but I love the way 3Blue1Brown has inspired a whole generation of science majors, alumni or academics to provide free education and scientific culture. Keep your stuff going! 1 request tho: I would love a video about protein folding and the relation between INFORMATION (DNA/RNA) FORM FUNCTION
essentially almost everything you said happens because of physical-chrmical interactions. folding happens because of atom to atom interaction: polar molecules attract polar molecules and repel nonpolar molecules, and as so there are polar and nonpolar parts of the same protein. and the functions are also essentially physical-chemical, with some proteins "clicking" in parts that fit and etc. the information to aminoacid pipeline is more complicated, but in essence, other proteins (ribosomes) take the mRNA and, based on the pairings of each base, it "spews" out an aminoacid hope this helped
love how you simplify topics, it is great video! Sad to see you've stopped making them, but thanks for all the awesome content. Good luck with everything you're doing now!
Hearing from viewers like you makes all the hard work worth it. And I haven't stopped permanently - each video just takes hundreds of hours to make, so I've been working on my most recent video for over a year now. Hope I can get it out within the next few months. More videos coming soon!
These videos are everything I wanted biological teaching to be like. I have, for so long, craved for better visualization when it comes to molecular biology because 2D images and text can only do so much to help the student gain a better understanding of the many intricate details of the cell and the structures found within it. The animation is beautiful, and much appreciated. Cheers.
Thank you so much! It makes me really happy that my videos are making such a big impact on students. Feel free to share these videos with your colleagues and any other people that you think would find them helpful, and if they could subscribe and comment as well that would be greatly appreciated!

I am an indian student in class 10(two+ years before starting college) and i have a love for biology and especially genes and related topics. I have watched countless videos and studied even more papers and i still learnt so much from these videos as i dont have the prerequisite info needed for full understanding. My school albeit a great one has still not started to teach genome and alleles and the whole heredietary mechanics so im an exception and suffer. i love information on any topic and would love for you add some way for me to attach everything i have learnt to the info at the technical level so in your videos pls give a process or method to convert simple intuition to exact mechanics so i can fully understand any paper i read or information i get. Love the series and your dedication. I came from reddit and watch yt a lot so can you recommend channels for science as a whole(Interesting Topics and fundamental understanding)
Thanks for your support! What I personally suggest is to watch these videos first for the intuition and then read a textbook after for the fuller understanding. Thank you so much for your kind words! I definitely hope more people can make use of these videos, but the hardest thing is for people to find them in the first place haha- that's why I really appreciate subscribers sharing these videos with their friends and spreading the word! :) As for CRISPR, that's definitely in the works as a later chapter of this series, but we'll have to go through some more basics first
Haha that would be amazing :) Def won't be easy- it'll take a lot of time as well as loyal subscribers sharing my videos and spreading the word, but hopefully we'll get there!
I did this completely using Adobe After Effects! I didn't use any particular tutorial or resource, but if you search up videos on how to animate using After Effects, then there will be resources out there. The best way to learn is to try to animate something yourself that you're interested in. For example, if you want to practice animating a face move, you can simply Google "how to animate a face on After Effects." Glad you enjoyed the video, and please take a few seconds to share with your friends and anyone else who you think will find the videos helpful! :)
Thanks for your comment! Yes, I did notice that after the video was posted, which makes me very frustrated since I do care about making everything as accurate as possible. I unfortunately cannot edit the video once it's uploaded, but thankfully it won't interfere too much with the big picture ideas being presented!

LOL, Watson was not known to be racist or sexist at that time. Nice try at revisionist history. I'm sure you got a few brown nosing points from your professor for that one. But good video nonetheless. I didn't know how the tetranucleotide hypothesis came about. Learning about the history of scientific discoveries helps you to think critically for future discoveries.
I didn't make this for a class so there were no professors to impress - I'm just doing my best to present the information as accurately as I can. :) From what I found in Watson's own book "The Double Helix," he said things like “I think having all these women around makes it more fun for the men but they’re probably less effective." In my view, that's a direct example of sexism: treating women differently and suggesting that they're inferior by being a distraction. Happy to hear your thoughts, of course. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the video!
It looks the same because I'm literally using the same animation software that he does 😂. It's a publicly released software that's free for everyone to use, Grant actually *encourages* people to use it since it's such a powerful tool (check out the channels vcubingx and Jazon Jiao, both of whom Grant has openly promoted). It's not like I'm shadily trying to copy 3b1b and hoping no one notices- I'm using the same publicly released software that he encourages people to use, and I even credit it in the description :)
