I got the Yan Ling Dao the other week, and the second I drew it from the scabbard, it immediately became my favorite sword. It really is the way it handles; it's so perfectly balanced. I was originally gonna go for the Palatial Tang Dao, but something about the simple/utilitarian design drew me in and I haven't looked back.
I have a Flying Phoenix. It's a *very* fun blade. But you gotta respect those edges, if you order a sharp blade from LKChen, it will slice the crap out of you!
Have 8 LK Chen swords with my own money already, Id say don't rush and buy any of new listed sword and give them a month or so. They are very open to ideas and make improvements quickly, but their first production run can have some issues
These sword reviews are definitely interesting so far, but will you also do book and video reviews sooner or later? I'm interested in hearing more about the martial history of China from you.
I like the Snow Peak MUCH better than the Gale Wind. I don't know what it is but I hate the guard on the Gale Wind. This (and the White Serpent) are much better aesthetically to me.
I've seen it too. Granted, it's pretty much the same sword they've had for a while, just that they now offer another scabbard variation with their "celebrity grade" version.
Hey man! This is random to do in a UA-cam comment but I would love to have a conversation/collab with you. I am a Kung Fu Sifu and while I don't have the knowledge of weapons, I'd love to swap ideas about Kung Fu in general! I think we have a lot of similar ideas judging from your playlists/videos so let me know. :) Either way, I wish you all the best! May it be well with you, Chao
I have to say, I don’t like the faux leather… it’s a poor choice. I understand about animal welfare but does that mean the glue used to place on the faux leather shouldn’t be used also? They should give a choice between bare wood or real leather… I do love LKChen’s blades though, I have the song hand dao and I appreciate the plain nature of its bare wood scabbard..

Honestly though the Tangheng Dao is the best in both cutting thrusting and handling, only shortcoming is its quite short compare to other swords
I've been hearing a lot about lk chen very nice to hear your opinion.

If Swordsage were to travel to an alternate dimension in which there was another Swordsage and they both fought, they would both win.
How could more than one entity wield so much power?
@@juandemarko8348 It asks Swordsage's permission.
Great taste in gingerbeer, Bundaberg is really good as far as I have tried
Snowpeak is beautiful :)
Great video, as always. 👍

love you, man
Great
Hey buddy. I bought a Jian a little while ago and really love it.

Flying Phoenix has recently been updated again.

Thank you for the review, Lk also just made some pole arms and what’s your thoughts on those?

Out of curiosity, do you keep the majority of the swords they send you? Sell them off? Give them to other CMA practitioners? A little of everything?
Pretty much, little of everything. I've given away a couple to others, sold one, kept the rest.
@@Swordsage Heh, I was imagining you with a literal closet full of swords.
first time you hold a decent dao, you will instantly think "damn I bet this thing CUTS!" lol
Could i clean cut a intruders hand with this?

Unless they're using synthetic glue.
