How to Run Throne of Thunder for Horridon & Ji-Kun Mounts 🌩️ WoW New Player Guide

- In this video, I'll guide you through running the Throne of Thunder Raid in Pandaria
Throne of Thunder has a chance to get the Spawn of Horridon and Clutch of Ji-Kun mounts
I'll cover how to get to Pandaria, which if you haven't been before you'll have to talk to Chromie to do the Pandaria campaign to get there for your first time
And to get to the Isle of Thunder, you'll have to do the Thunder Calls quest to unlock the portal to get there for your first time :)
To get to the Isle of Thunder you use the portals over near Shado-Pan Garrison in Townlong Steppes
In this video I also show you the world bosses Sha of Anger and Nalak for your chance at 2 more mounts while on your way to the Isle of Thunder

ToT will always be a special raid for me. It was the first raid I actually really started with my guild back then. Guild is long gone now that the orignal GM passed away but it will always remain a special place for me.
Also I never delete my repeat mounts. My bags have so many rare mounts on both main and alts. The day when Blizz makes those tradeable I'll be ready to bring in the gold.

I really love the mounts from this raid. I managed to get the Clutch of Ji-Kun last December. And believe it or not Spawn of Horridon dropped for me just a few days before the Mists of Pandaria remix began. LOL! I still haven't gotten the glory of achievement mount yet, but I'll keep trying.

yea the glory of the achievements can be so hard. i find theres always 1 or 2 in the achievement that are SO hard to do and its really annoying haha

You probably forgot, but at the end of the introductory quest line to unlock the Isle of Thunder, you get a toy that will teleport you to your faction's camp from inside the raid so no convoluted tricks are necessary. Also right after you exit the sewers there is a portal to exit the raid too.
oh yea totally forgot about that thing :P i dont think i've ever used it before/never even acknowledged its existence XD

I think you can get Thunder Calls quest by just being at the top level for the expac (I think its 40 or 45) or higher without any other pre-requisites. You don't even need that quest, it's just a bread crumb, and can go to the Shado-Pan camp in Townlong and talking to your faction's quest giver there.
ah maybe so! never tried it myself on someone higher so not sure but i checked on a level 35ish character and definitely needed the quest to talk to the npc
but maybe its different for higher level
They actually increased the drop chance on Sha of Anger mount in 2022, no one knows by how much but it's increased greatly.
There was a bug in the first 24-48 hrs after DF launched where dracthyr evokers were getting WB mounts with 100% drop chance. In response to that blizz raised all the WB mount drops to 1% from 1 in 2000/3000. Except the one in Voldun that's on a 6 week rotation, which already has a higher than 1% drop rate.
TLDR All WB's currently have 1% chance to drop a mount.

These guides are very well done, very precise and to the point. Out of curiosity, have you tried for the tomb stalker mount, which drops from the final boss in King's Rest on mythic difficulty? I started farming for it at the beginning of last month and no luck yet.
I was lucky enough to have the clutch of Ji-Kun mount drop back during BFA when my boyfriend and I were working on Glory of the Thundering Raider for the skyscreamer mount. He forgot about the fact that the gastropods can kill you in one hit and ended up dying to one when I was in the middle of warning him. XD I used my Warbeast Kraal Dinner Bell toy on his paladin before attempting to revive him with my Gnomish army knife (which I swear is defective because it never works). This was during the run where we finally finished the achievement for the skyscreamer (a single ritualist kept eluding us for four months, which was frustrating to say the least.) Shortly after Zandalari and Kul Tirans became playable, the spawn of Horridon dropped for my Kul Tiran hunter, which shocked me because it was the first time I'd run that instance on her.

When you are on that windy bridge between first and second boss, avoid those light beams because they will throw you off the bridge. Which will kill you regardless of level.
@@knighthawk3749 that's what I thought they did but then nothing was happening to me when they hit me? XD maybe they have to get you entirely in the middle of the light beam?
@@LadySurvivalWoW Yeah, I think they have a weird hit box and you are OK when you are on the edges. Or, possibly, they are considered an attack and need to hit you. That's nearly impossible when you are at or near the current max level. I have not been there solo since early in Shadowlands when I finally got my Horridon mount after 600(!) attempts, which is more than it took me for any of the World Boss mounts.

Don't even need to be lvl 80. Can be done at 50 or 60.
@baejnebun7124 new players might not even know it exists tho. They might get confused on how to get to pandaria if the portal isn't open to them. They might not know how to get to isle of thunder cuz of the portal in townlong, they might be overwhelmed with where to go within the raid..etc
