He remains the only Player at his position to intercept 30 passes and record 30 sacks in his pro career He had a hell of a career for a 5th round pick by the Chargers
@@washburn11000 More sacks than LeRoy Butler Butler played strong safety for the packers from 1990-2001. He sacked Drew Bledsoe in SBXXXI in which Green Bay defeated the Pats 35-21. He had over 20 sacks and over 38 interceptions. He went to the HOF even though it took a while. As a Patriots fan I hope Harrison will end up in Canton.
That PED suspension might keep him from the hall... but I think he was one of the best safeties in the NFL in his era... especially in New England... versatile and highly productive
And that’s why Rodney Harrison is my favorite football player of all time!!! That’s why I teach all three of my sons about Rodney Harrison and his will to succeed and to make the best of every moment of your life! Rodney Harrison is an inspiration to every patriots fan and every kid who puts on those shoulder pads and helmet and works hard every short summer into the fall. Rodney is the personification of hard work and dedication that it takes to be a great football player! Weather your window is youth ta high school. Or to college and to the pros. Great football players are recognized by everyone who has watched them play!!
Captain -leader- lion heart - 2 Super Bowl champion - 30.5 sack 34 interceptions -solo tackles 1,206 . Come man !! Get him in the NFL hall of fame well deserved number don’t lies . When God decides to bless you, He’ll show you mercy that you didn’t deserve, favor that you didn’t earn. It wasn’t anything you did; it was simply the favor of God.
I was looking at the top 100 nfl players they just did. and bill b. is talking about all defensive backs …. I understand why Rodney isn't on this list because troy p. wasn't mentiond (I prefer Rodney) but I really feel Rodney should have deserved strenuous consideration. not only that but jerry rice paid for the ring he stole from Harrison, if Harrison had played in that superbowl 49ers vs chargers … I think that is a fair trade. if I had to draft a team … and I needed a defensive back, Rodney is my number one pick for defensive back. and there is a lot of players ppl think are better.... I would feel I would do myself a disservice by not picking him 1st outta ALL defensive backs. when he was playing I had no doubt the pats would win. and when they didn't, it came down to mere inches. that really shows the heart of this man. he is one of my favorite players that I got to watch. he is the best.
Big time fan of Rodney he played the game with heart man
One of my all time favorite patriots , made so many big plays and teams were scared to go over the middle with him lurking
Thanks, Rodney. we never met but you were family in our house. An inspiring defensive artist on the field.

He's got the most sacks of any defensive back in history!

Favorite all time play was Teddy Bruschi slapping at a WR/ RB falling backward AND Rodney delivering the BOOM. So good.
Bill Bates and Rodney Harrison are my two Heroes.
i had the honor of watching this great man play and i am still in awe.
Ill NEVER forget his interception of Peyton in the endzone 2003 AFC Championship game.
This channel deserves more views
Thanks from my family we appreciate your effort
30 sacks. 30 picks. He was one of a kind player
Greatest free agency signing in the BB era.
New England fans loved Rodney,he played to win. Kinda like Randy
One of only two players with at least 30 career picks and 30 career sacks. The other player is Ray Lewis
So inspiring...cliche but true.

what show is this from or did u make itV
It was from a super bowl boxed set.
03-04 playoffs
6 games - 6 interceptions 2 forced fumbles
RH was facing down. He wouldn't have seen the ball thrown.
Should be in the hall
HOF material if there ever was any.
If not, he's robbed.
I think this man is misunderstood. He did play dirty but not intentional. It was compensating his insecurity and self inferiority.
and getting 2 rings for it too biatch
He played hard, he tried to hurt people not injure them, that's the difference.
Harrison is The Lamar Odom of the team..... he just happened to be on the team 😆
Dirty
Rodney Harrison is a bum
Simon Hernandez
Two more rings than you do
Why don't you go to your empty trophy case you dork
