I saved $60,000 In one year as a CNA during COVID.

Nothing makes me happier than watching black women educate and enrich themselves in such a valuable field of work, independently. Thanks for being so open and subjective.
Thanks for the support 😘
True!
Supposed to be black people lol

I worked closely with nurses before deciding nursing school. They always had to have roommates & work over time because they didn’t manage their money correctly! Higher pay doesn’t mean add more expenses!
Exactly. Its all about proper money management.!!!
Yes a nurse I work with recently file for bankruptcy and i dont understand how..she is married and they have kids??
wow
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. As a fellow RN myself, I believe that nurses are really underpaid for the amount of work and responsibilities that we have. I am happy to see that you have good work ethics and financial literacy, enabling you to purchase your own home. Congrats!
I’m u ui
Currently a nursing student. It’s so stressful!! Love love your videos & IG post. I’m learning a lot.
Im happy their helping you
Im also in nursing school. 4th and last semester
@@TheBougieNurse right staying home and saving is the best way to do it. I work retail and it breaks my heart when i see freshman going odd to college, spending thousands to kove into a box. Especially giving the state tjat this country is in right now. We're in the midst of a recession/economic crisis ....for those living in the USA
@@TheBougieNurse you're so beautiful, i love your top. Wow, you bought your own home! Im so proud of you!!! Im in my 4th and last semester here in CT
My daughter worked as a nurse for 4 years a made good money but she got burned out and started her own Trucking company with her husband making 10,000 a week and she loves it because she said shes her own boss and she’s free from the plantation.
If she votes democrat, she still on it though so I hope she isnt
Shoutouts to your daughter. She is goals
My good friend also suffered burn out !! She paid off her house and is now in pharmaceuticals. She worked in the ICU and Oncology and seeing so much death got to her
@@vernamorales2064 I'm suffering from burnout, I keep calling out, I'm always tired , my blood pressure is high, anxiety ughhh
@@BrownskinbambiRN I will be praying for you !! That is one tough job
i love your accent. its not harsh, or anything. its just cute!
I’m currently staying with parents because I’m starting soon to get my masters to become a FNP and yes if you have a good relationship with your parents and can stay with them while attending school do so because the income you bring in plus theirs makes it easier to pay bills in the house and everyone saves money so it’s overall beneficial for everyone
Yes very smart move. Beneficial for everyone in the home.
rlouis215 What if you're not in a good relationship with them? Or theyre verbally abusive?
Wisdom you have
And invest some of that money too. If your work matches your 401k, max it out. That compound growth for 40 years can make wonders. God bless you all
Sis it’s amazing you saved up 80k in 3 years. We need to know how sis 😍❤️
Will do!!
I saved about 40k in less than one year, and honestly just stay in with your parents. I’m 20 years old, I help my parents with bills like trash, water, electricity and wifi and I save the rest. I make about 3-4k a month
@@sallypolus8863 are you are nurse?
Its simple ? Dont have kids ??? haha
@@TheBougieNurse Wow! You save a lot of money. Can I marry you. Just kidding😁😁😁
The truth is I make more money as a waiter. Just 4 hrs/shift 10-15 days a month.
I admire you for being good in handling your money and your future. Be safe.
Your so pretty ❤️ I’m finishing up my MHA MBA in 3 weeks and I can’t wait. I have a few certifications under my belt. It’s very important to learn and grow ladies 🙌💯

Thank you :)
Can you do a video on your nursing education journey from ADN to BSN please! I loved this video, you went into great detail. Thank you!
I've been a nurse for 14 years and I really enjoyed this video!
I instantly LOVE YOU GURL! You kept it totally real! I think you would be a perfect person to do one of those budget videos regardless if you follow a budget or not. These videos are becoming more popular due to how motivating they are. This video is totally motivating!! Ty for the Video
Thank you for the idea 😘

I practice this and no I don’t have the trendiest things but I save big.
No shade but some nurses where I work could use this tip cuz...
Great video.
Love your videos!! Thanks for the motivation 😊 I’m just beginning my RN journey, was just accepted into the program 😆 I’m low key scared/worried but your videos def motivate me.
Hey, I’m curious, have you became an RN?
It's nice to have nurses in the family.
My first RN biweekly paycheck in 1982 was $688.64 net. That was good money in 1982.
My hospital pays $500-$1000 bonus for extra shifts (in addition to overtime pay of course). But I'm always too tired!
Where
Shes adorable ❤ right?! Go sis!
I made $240k in 10 months and was able to save over 100k as a live-in LPN in 2021. Biggest blessing of my life!
How? You did a lot of overtime?
Granddaughter who I bragged-on in February today July 27 2021 has been promoted to be independent. Her preceptor released her to work her shift without full time supervision.
Thank you so much for showing us what you made. In my state MS fresh grads make 22 with 3 hour shift diff on nights because they start them off on nights or at least at the local hospital.
I love all of your videos, especially this one. Currently, I'm a CNA/PCT at my hospital. I am also enrolled in an ASN program. Now, my decision is to apply for a staff nurse position at my hospital. While I'm working, I'll also work on my BSN online. Prior to graduation, I will apply to a travel nurse agency. Now, the agency I have in mind, require me to have a minimum associate degree but, the other agencies require a bachelor's degree, so I rather set myself up to succeed.
Now, I moved back home to focus on finishing school and work on some other goals, and I feel great
-New grad nurse starting my first nursing job in two weeks! Thank you for sharing the paycheck journey!
I live in New York. I have two full time jobs but that is only for personal reasons. I do travel nurse and one staff job. I am traveling in New York so I don’t have to go else where. Yes, am always tired. Great video!
Wow that amazing. Maybe i should look into traveling within the state. I never thought of that. Thank You
wow I wonder how you do it , 2 full time nursing jobs omg. I’m exhausted after my 2 days clinicals talk less of 2 jobs😆
Wowwww ❤❤❤ This is an amazing video, Thanks for making this, Im going to practice in the US some day
Thanks for being transparent. Watching from the UK.
Thanks for watching!
The more you make the more they take out. New sub thank you for this video hun
Your voice is always so soothing. Beautiful 😍
Aww thank you, and I don’t even like it ♥️
If you leave New York and go to a state like Texas that doesn't have state tax, you will see a increase instantly.
Thank you so much! I’ve been wondering how much taxes take out of a nurse paycheck. All good advice too 🙏🙏🙏
If you work at Stanford children’s hospital they make $80-100 per hour
Oh wow. Nice to know
How many Medical Doctors do come on Social media to talk about their paycheck, or stuffs like that. Nurses keep calm you all work too hard in relation to what you r paid. MD’s make so much but their paycheck has no business in social media.
@@peacefrank7781 this is not true at all. if you type in "how much will i make as an MD" hundreds of videos come up, some with paystubs as well. if you feel like it's inappropriate why watch?
Yes, right now travel nurses are making lots of money because of the COVID-19 crisis. I seen pay packages that was paying $7,000 a week for ICU nurses.
Thank you for being so real. Saw your story on IG
Thanks for watching ☺️
Your videos are so informative. Thank you for taking time to educate newer people who are trying to get into the industry.
Great video! 💗 love your sweater 💗💗
Your videos have helped me reach over $180,000 in trading by age 23! Thanks TheBougieNurse. Keep the videos coming. 👍🏽

I feel nurses should get paid more.
Their are different types of nurses who get paid more or less
Might I add, make sure to contribute to a 401K where the hospital matches contributions.
You are an amazing, goal oriented, financially savvy young lady!!! I admire you
Its my first time watching you and I love you. You come across as cool and also that cute accent 😍
So informative and im from the city as well so it gives me an idea of what I’m setting myself up for.
Thanks for the real checks. Wont lie, it really took my steam away as far as looking forward to the pay.
Travel that’s the only way to make the real money. I will never be a regular staff nurse again, it’s not worth it.
wow, your are so honest and beautiful. Thank you so muchhhh
You are so welcome
Sometimes I think about becoming a nurse from teaching because I’m tired of working in my free time. I want to still help people and make decent money
OK, so I am wondering and I don't think you can but is there a way to get you rn degree online ? By Any chance ? I finished the first part so I have my Associates degree in pre-nursing .
Well said!!! Love your channel 😁
Your videos are very informative and helped me navigate a few things. Thank you. Only thing I had difficulty with is the closed captioning. It’s almost useless and I couldn’t always have the sound at the time.
Great information.
It would be great to know which hospital you worked at starting our.
Congrats! Start wearing protective gems a lot of people may have ill feelings for you be careful and good luck!
Very articulated video! Loved it 💖
You are very smart...be great. Good luck Peace
You can reduce the taxes by contributing to the employers 401k. Max out your 401k. Don't give the government all your money. I wish when I first worked I did that.
I already am doing that lol 😫😫😫
Do you still reside in NY? Also can you do a video on how you saved $80k in 3 yrs???
Wow amazing advice, loved this video!
I work I ny and ur first pay stub looked like mine. I took up my first job right after I graduated straight to that private hospital. I would love it if u made a video about why u left. I’m thinking about leaving because sometimes it’s a lot and I always wondering which is better. Private or public.
Okay. Will do

Hello. thanks for the video to provide useful information. what year was that?
Great video very inspirational, new subbie!!!!
I love you girl!!! Your advice is gem💎
Did you go on any vacations while you were saving and staying home with your parents ?
Nice Video Dear, I've been a nurse for one and half year and I can testify the Importance of investing in the financial market, it has helped me buy my own house and for a good future. That's how far it can take you, I don't brag but it should be on everyone's mind to invest.
How best to get started ?
It's best done with a professional guidance, that way you avoid the losses newbies make and also have time to go about your normal work, you only monitor your account while he handle your trades. Your profits is guaranteed.

im honestly confused. how is florida a state with low cost of living?
Lol Florida! My jaw dropped
Compared to other states like NY, CALI ,DC. Florida is. much cheaper to live in. Just look up the average cost of a 1 bedroom apartment in those states, and youll see.
@@TheBougieNurse I figured out the problem. I live in Miami not florida. Two different things. Iykyk 🤣🤣🤣
I've noticed that FL is one of the lowest paid states for nurses but the living expenses don't match IMO
@@TheBougieNurse yes florida is cheaper to live than ny and cali but not that cheap. Texas is cheaper than florida but the cheapest are states no one knows about lol like Iowa or Kansas. Damn Kansas is super cheap compared to all the states I travelled. Their gas was like $1/gal when the ones Ive been to were $4.
Hi! you mentioned in your video that you did your bachelor's online, which school did you go to?
HAA 104 thousand multiple by 3 add up for three years
Wow! Those New York taxes are outrageous.
Right it hurt my chest n it wasn’t even my check
What Job Do You Work At For The Paycheck Money Cash

“Pretty much they violated me” FELT
I currently work t fedex and in school for nursing fuck them boxes I wanna travel nurse so bad
Lol one day at a time. Youll get there ☺️
What a tax !! That’s too high. No free education, no free healthcare
Just a FYI cause I’m from NYC
You have an associates degree, are you a lpn? I was thinking about going to back to school for nursing, I don’t want to get my bachelors.
Depending on what state you live in, its possible to get a job with an associate nursing degree.
No she has an associate degree in nursing she is an rn registered nurse not lpn. She is not an lpn . Lpn is a diploma program it’s not a degree program
Do u have ur bachelors now?
I wouldn’t be able to live at home if I went back to school. Aside from that I could never study at home when I went for my useless bachelor’s, she wants money. She would use me for home improvements, shopping for anything needed, buy things for her constantly, would not respect my need for quiet, would not understand leaving me alone, and then keeps wanting to socialize every minute. There was no peace and quiet. She also calls reading as doing nothing and anything junk when it is not usual household items.
That’s why nobody wants to live in NY anymore
