    I worked closely with nurses before deciding nursing school. They always had to have roommates & work over time because they didn’t manage their money correctly! Higher pay doesn’t mean add more expenses!

    Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. As a fellow RN myself, I believe that nurses are really underpaid for the amount of work and responsibilities that we have.       @@TheBougieNurse right staying home and saving is the best way to do it. I work retail and it breaks my heart when i see freshman going odd to college, spending thousands to kove into a box. Especially giving the state tjat this country is in right now. We're in the midst of a recession/economic crisis ....for those living in the USA

    My daughter worked as a nurse for 4 years a made good money but she got burned out and started her own Trucking company with her husband making 10,000 a week and she loves it because she said shes her own boss and she’s free from the plantation.

      My good friend also suffered burn out !! She paid off her house and is now in pharmaceuticals.She worked in the ICU and Oncology and seeing so much death got to her

    I’m currently staying with parents because I’m starting soon to get my masters to become a FNP and yes if you have a good relationship with your parents and can stay with them while attending school do so because the income you bring in plus theirs makes it easier to pay bills in the house and everyone saves money so it’s overall beneficial for everyone

      I saved about 40k in less than one year, and honestly just stay in with your parents. I’m 20 years old, I help my parents with bills like trash, water, electricity and wifi and I save the rest. I make about 3-4k a month

    My first RN biweekly paycheck in 1982 was $688.64 net. That was good money in 1982.

    My hospital pays $500-$1000 bonus for extra shifts (in addition to overtime pay of course). But I'm always too tired!

    I love all of your videos, especially this one. Currently, I'm a CNA/PCT at my hospital. I am also enrolled in an ASN program. Now, my decision is to apply for a staff nurse position at my hospital. While I'm working, I'll also work on my BSN online. Prior to graduation, I will apply to a travel nurse agency. Now, the agency I have in mind, require me to have a minimum associate degree but, the other agencies require a bachelor's degree, so I rather set myself up to succeed.
    Now, I moved back home to focus on finishing school and work on some other goals, and I feel great

    I live in New York. I have two full time jobs but that is only for personal reasons. I do travel nurse and one staff job. I am traveling in New York so I don’t have to go else where. Yes, am always tired. Great video!

    If you leave New York and go to a state like Texas that doesn't have state tax, you will see a increase instantly.

      How many Medical Doctors do come on Social media to talk about their paycheck, or stuffs like that. Nurses keep calm you all work too hard in relation to what you r paid. MD’s make so much but their paycheck has no business in social media.

    You can reduce the taxes by contributing to the employers 401k. Max out your 401k. Don't give the government all your money. I wish when I first worked I did that.

      Compared to other states like NY, CALI ,DC. Florida is. much cheaper to live in. Just look up the average cost of a 1 bedroom apartment in those states, and youll see.

      I've noticed that FL is one of the lowest paid states for nurses but the living expenses don't match IMO

      @@TheBougieNurse yes florida is cheaper to live than ny and cali but not that cheap. Texas is cheaper than florida but the cheapest are states no one knows about lol like Iowa or Kansas. Damn Kansas is super cheap compared to all the states I travelled. Their gas was like $1/gal when the ones Ive been to were $4.

    I make plastic parts for John Deere and Cat and we get paid pretty good. I love my job 💙🙏🏾😀😃
    Plus my job pay for you to go to school they pay us to go get our business degree. Or Technician degree which is fantastic.

    Most nurses don't get paid salary, they get paid hourly. Nursing managers get paid salary.

      Depending on what state you live in, its possible to get a job with an associate nursing degree.

      No she has an associate degree in nursing she is an rn registered nurse not lpn. She is not an lpn . Lpn is a diploma program it’s not a degree program

    I wouldn’t be able to live at home if I went back to school. Aside from that I could never study at home when I went for my useless bachelor’s, she wants money. She would use me for home improvements, shopping for anything needed, buy things for her constantly, would not respect my need for quiet, would not understand leaving me alone, and then keeps wanting to socialize every minute. There was no peace and quiet. She also calls reading as doing nothing and anything junk when it is not usual household items.
