Thank you so much! Would you recommend a website to purchase a new throttle body online? Also does the Jeep compass 2014 have a specific throttle body or its the same model regardless of the year of the car ? These are the error codes: P2110 P2118 Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited RPM Throttle Actuator Control Motor Current Range/Performance Thank you for the video! Loved it 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thank you very much, this video was really helpful. Am curious to know, what is the danger or disadvantages on the car if the flash lightning signal is on.
Disadvantages would be the vehicle not running correctly and a loss of power and driveability, because the throttle either won't open or be in the wrong position. The danger would be if it went the other way and decided to default to open instead of closed. That would be a really dangerous situation of you're driving although that scenario would be pretty rare I would think.
Hey I got the codes U1407 and U1424, spark plugs were worn out and after replacing them the engine idles fine but still gives me just the check engine light and those codes. do i need to replace the TP or just clean it?
If this light is on in conjunction with the engine light could it be something else because Auto Zone mentioned it may be my transmission but this video is having me lean more towards the throttle body.
This fault will also turn the engine light on. You really need it diagnosed by a mechanic rather than a parts store. Reading codes is one thing, knowing what they mean is another. If the throttle body light is on, it's extremely unlikely to be caused by a transmission fault. But a faulty throttle body could also trigger a transmission fault.
Hello I replaced the trottle body already in my compass 2016 but still popping up the lighting light and control traction off blinking when this happens I can’t acelerate like it’s not responding on trottle , mostly in the mornings when the engine still cold, I turned off and then on it disappears and I now I drive it normally. Any help would be super appreciated 🙏
Not sure if this will help but if you turn the key on (not the car) for 15 seconds, then off for 10, then turn the car on, it should reset the lights unless there is another issue, hope this helps!!
I have similar problems in my jeep compass. Latitude 2013. How do I know if kits this or the accelerator sensor on the gas peddle? I don't have much money and not a mechanic. Please respond. Thanks.
With a scan tool it can be proven on the live data, without a scan tool you would want to check for the noise of the gears slipping inside the throttle body.
Had this car back in for a safety inspection (W.O.F) the other day. It has not faulted again at all since I did this job, sometime before posting this video.
Hi there, sorry we didn't actually fix that as the customer didn't want to fix that. It can be a different issue each time, often it's the flap not being able to reach it's home position, or a gear slipping. You really need to follow the noise and see what is actually happening on yours. Unfortunately that sort of thing is not usually that easy to get to.
The cost depends a lot on what the part costs in your country. I don't remember the actual cost of this job. But I would say somewhere around the $500 NZ mark.
Just make sure the throttle valve is moving and not jammed. If it sticks, just give it a slight push to free it up. You could try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes to see if that will reset the codes. Otherwise you may need to take it in to be scanned.
No, we are a professional workshop so we have a scan tool to clear codes. Disconnecting the battery will clear codes on some vehicles. The light should go out once the problem is fixed, but codes may still be stored in the ECU.

Have you figured out your issue?? I literally have the same exact problem.
I have the same issue as well

i know on chevys the gas pedal needs replaced and after replacing this stuff the new ones need reprogrammmed.
See if you have a wheel sensor out

Did the problem ever come back? Its easy to see it fixed at first but maybe it comes back after a few miles.

What year is the vehicle?
how do you fix that heater flap! mine does that!!

What is the approximate cost too fix this? I have jeep compass sport 2013 auto. With same issues

I just replaced the part by myself do i need to take it someone and get the codes cleared so it will stop being in limp mode

@@gettingitdone1 i tried the battery being disconnected and that didn't work so i am going to try a few other things
Did you disconnect the battery to reset the computer at all?
