I had a nightmare that he returned in t8 as cyber Akuma and was a secret tekken force mode boss. Please note that I said nightmare for a reason.
It's funny to think how well Max lights himself in his camera normally, this time he looks green-screened into his own room

apparently his camera got ruined when he spilled coffee
Funny thing about Akuma, in a game where characters look more realisticly fit and proportioned than ever (Zangief having a layer of body fat over his muscles for example), Akuma being so ridiculously shredded really stands out. He looks like his skin can barely contain his muscles and makes him look genuinely unnatural, like his devotion to becoming stronger has made him less human than the other characters. Really sells what a literal and figurative martial arts monster he's becoming. You can hear shades of it in his theme too. They really knocked his design and evolution out of the park for SF6!
He looks like he's made of shoe leather and wood.

The range and speed of his DI is even scarier; bro could easily (and with barely a warning) DI someone just a bit past half-screen in less than a second 😨

The 2nd color on outfit 1 is a much better version of his original outfit and color from Sf5.

I’ll be real with you. I fail to see the comparison, as his hair looked more like an unkept lion mane than a flower.

I'll admit I was unhappy with the hair being back in this design, but it looks so good in this game that I don't care anymore.
Maybe the gi along with the hair is just a bad combination. In SF5 he has the gi but he doesnt have a gi in 6 so maybe thays why ut doesnt look as bad.
Can’t wait to relive the good old memories of sfv aka losing with Akuma because i want to finish with raging demon

They did a great job on Akuma's particles. The fire effects and the stuff around him during teleport look really cool.

The way that this intro starts off is funny because Max is so concentrating on becoming the true master of Akuma that after he finishes an awesome combo he finally speaks out saying cool 😂.

Hey Max, just a heads up that hits does not matter to scaling in SF6, its about Inputs.
If a move is 2 hit, but done with a single input like Ryu's forward HP or Akuma's st HK then the scaling works as normal.
If a move is like a target combo, such as Akuma's MP MP target combo, Jamie's rekkas, Marisa's uppercut into slam, or Luke's forward HP HP target combo then it counts as an extra hit of scaling. The only moves that seems to break this are Luke's perfect knuckles.

No, Shin Akuma is his normal form now. Oni is the form after what we now see but Akuma detests it because he'd lose all humanity.

Ah ok. That makes sense.
One small correction about damage scaling in SF6: Heavy Kick will only count as one hit in terms of scaling while the target combo will count as two. The game essentially counts the number of inputs needed when determining hits for scaling. So Akuma's fire punch and followup will only count as 2 scaling hits for all versions because it's two inputs (the initial motion and the followup input)

Max is good, but demon has worked like that in almost every game Akuma's been in. It's one of the first things anyone who's played him would check.
Sf6 is the first time I’ve actually been excited about Akuma ( probably because we get so few updates)

There should be a combo that includes demon Armageddon, raging demon and the chop that sends flames from the ground. Especially useful when used against Zangief after he says "I am almighty!"
4 input demon, are we pressing two buttons or have we assigned two inputs to one button? Like when I’m usually playing mostly as Ken, I assign medium and light kick to r2 and medium and light punch to l2 for Ken’s dash and the ex moves so I have to press hp and hl (l1 and r1) together for D.I. and likewise with the mp and mk for parry

Most other characters' combos will probably erase half of his health, so it'll balance out.

13:10 This is something I noticed in some of the other footage, Akuma doesn't do the gut punch at the start of the TP grab like he does in the gameplay trailer, so maybe it gets a unique animation on Punish Counter or something?

He hasn't, he's stated a lot of times that he doesn't have much interest in playing the world tour
Is there a way to do the raging demon shortcut on console controller? Cause I see you do a heavy punch and light kick at the same time as if your pressing 1 button. Are you just fast with it or is there a setting or an input device thing?
I think he just presses them at the same time yeah, no trick.

God, we knew that when Akuma was going to hit SF6, he was going to cook. But damn it all, this isn’t just a feast, this is a god forsaken banquet with how much love stuffed into Akuma and make his shine as much as possible.

When I first saw his gameplay trailer, I was really expecting that his Raging Demon has another variation just like any Critical Art in low health but much more brutal and devastating that also affects the stage.

@@StudioYT6ix eh. I guess. It doesn't really have any impact, though. None of the punches have that bass or strength.
5HK is not 2 hits for scaling, it's a single button so it counts as 1 hit. This is the case for all multihitting moves in the game.

9:37 I wonder if he could cancel his dp into demon. I imagine he can’t since the opponent has to be grounded for demon, but man this combo would be so sick if it ended with demon instead level 3.
Even without the level 2 part, this combo at 8:18 is a lot of dmg for an air to air combo.

It's to differentiate between a drive rush cancel (DRC) and a raw drive rush, I think.

Not going to lie, initially I thought his damage was going to be ass, but if a combo trial combo on punish counter is doing fucking 6593, then this character might have legit top tier damage once people get in the lab with him. Have not played in months but I am coming back to try him.
Raging Demon only does 4700 damage???? Thats less than most CA.
Maybe the light version that you can combo into it, while the heavy version that you can't combo into it will do more damage.
Most Lvl 3’s do 4000 DMG, and a CA just adds 500 more damage. Lily and Zangief have higher damage Lvl 3’s with 4500 DMG and 4800 DMG respectively, giving them a CA of 5000 DMG and 5300 DMG respectively. Akuma’s demon is locked to CA so yeah I guess it just does 4700, more than most CAs.
He looks dehydrated as fuck, but he's got the sauce to back it up.
His CA is actually Sekia Kuretsuha to the face.
