@@eelco67 Hey, thanks!!!!!!! But this video I've already watched about a 100000 times.... Know it by heart as much as I could capture the words.... I thought maybe you have the entire concert, as there exists the 48 minutes other part where she wears a similar dress in black..... Wow, you Dutch people had such a treasure in your country, and only you were wise enough to make these pirate recordings.... One of them caught my eye becasue it said RARE and I like such mysteries.... And then it caught my ear, and I'm still flabbergasted....I didn;t expect to find such a DIVA.... I gather she was famous enough.... However, I just wonder, how come she is sooooooooooooooooooooo good and nobody compares her to Callas or Nilsson or Tebaldi or even her "discoverer" Schwarzkopf, though she surpassed them sum total, her voice remianed intact at the age when Callas died after her voice had gone out of control, and Nilsson couldn;t sing coloraturas and Tebaldi struggled with her upper part and many other famous singers with wonderful vocies didn;t possess such emotional itensiveness and such control with cresc. and dim.... I guess she was too modest and didn;t have a business sense and had a happy private life.....It is frightening to think how many talented people sit at home while we get only the pushy ones.... Anyway thanks, and don;t worry, whenever you bring out something new I'll find it..... BTW I'm sure Nilsson followed her, for example in Tosca she has this dim. very much in the style of Deutekom, but not so good....Also in Pace Pace, but also not so perfect.... She couldn;t sing PP and her cresc. and dim weren't steady.... Callas allowed herself to sing everything but her timbre was rather - i should say politely "not so beautiful", and her upper part went berserk rather early...And Nilsson's lower part wasn;t as good as the aged Deutekom's. Wow I would have liked to hear her in Salome, for example....Too Late....Bye thank you again, sorry for this outburst....Not sorry but I apologize......:)
