Winter Camping in a Canvas Wall Tent with out Dog Bella. Heather and I Hike in Deep Snow and set up camp in a canvas wall tent and stay overnight. A Heather's reviews segment reviews a few new meals and we just unwind and relax in the cozy set up. We awake to a beautiful mild day observe a Pileated Woodpecker on the hunt for food, cook breakfast and head home. Another nice family outing.

Where are Bellas boots.
She only wears them when its very cold she hates them lol. Dogs have much better circulation in their feet far better then us this is why they can not have booties and stay warmer often booties are used to protect from abrasion as opposed to for warmth. sometimes the booties cause more issues then they solve also so we use them based on what makes sense in the particular circumstance

VERY SMART WITH THAT STOVE, NEVER SAW THIS BEFORE, GREAT IDEA. I GUESS IT TAKES A MAN IN THE HOUSE TO FIGURE THAT ONE OUT AND YET TO BE SAFE. CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH. Well I couldn’t go to sleep, so I thought I would find a good video to watch. And I did. The first thing I found was my favorite couple and their sweet dog. There was Heather preparing the food with a stick, I just love you Heather. You can make anything look good. Ok not too long. You two just keep being the way you are and I will keep watching and loving every minute of it.

Best close-up view of a Pileated Woodpecker I've ever seen; and seeing Bella laser-focused on it - just awesome! Thanks Ted and Heather for sharing another cool outing with us. Great family times together, especially outdoor ones, can't be beat! BTW, I've been consuming massive quantities of Baird bros. vids lately, going back to even the earlier ones, and can't seem to quit (not that I really want to, lol). Kind of like eating Doritos - can't just stop at one; gotta keep chowing down 'till the whole bag's wiped out. It's all part of my anti-Covid19 immunity program : )). Cool camping trip. I have had both those meals you had. Stroganoff was my fav. Bella is so cute. Glad you had the stove to warm up a bit. 💖. LoL. Bella was so funny with the wood pecker. Surprised that wood pecker does'nt have a head ache. Great video of that wood pecker.
Hey Janet. I like both the meals but I do like the Stroganoff. Believe it or not it gets ripping hot in there even when its -30 out its too hot in the tent sometimes u feel like blacking out lol. Of course it cools off very fast if it goes out. But over all it's a very comfy and wonderful feature. Glad u got a laugh out of Bella shes friggin cute lol. I'd be dead within the hr if I smashed my lead like that pecker lol but unlike us they have fancy pecker skulls to protect their brains lol. Fun times were had Thanks for commin along cheers 🍻

We can go out one at a time, wearing medical mask and disposable gloves. Hi Heather and Ted. Love this footage. Looks so cozy in the tent with that fur. Thanks for a long video. Makes for a longer period of entertainment for everyone to endure this confinement. Yellow lab and German Shorthair Pointer. Pointer was the 1st thing I thought of when she was watching that woodpecker. Great mix really but I don't think free range chickens or a bird will ever be a good idea around a full blooded bird dog. LOL Stay safe.

Bella was entranced by the woodpecker. I was too. Just think about how'd you feel if you had to use your head to find bugs to eat. I'll pass on that exercise. Nice trip, laid back and relaxed. Right from the start I knew it was going to be a fun video when you guys are trekking thru the snow looking like you had a few to drink! Great weekend in the tent, only the food was simply crap. You see this phenomenon by others also, love to be in nature and eating industrial food, way to salt and full of so called natural flavors. Bad prepack and way to expensive. But ok, its 2020...
Lol ya I hear u it's good for what it is super light and never spoils sometimes it's nice to be a bit lazy after a bunch of hard work and these meals r definitely easy. We mix it up meal wise on the different trips. Glad u liked the vid over all. Thx 4 watchin

I became friends with one of the Bellingham Blazers, He seen me at high school and said he wanted to come help me fight but his coach stopped him. We hung out for about 2 months until he got traded or some shit? He was a great friend during that short time in our lives! I don;'t even remember his name! Shit happens and we all move on! Oh and just so you know the hockey Players at my school were the same age as me, 17, 18,19...Who knows where that friend of mine is now?

Guys, so kool, thats how u camp out, use the natural surroundgs, shaved sticks 4 utensils, exactly wht we use, Im glad u enjoyd the greenery beddg, u guys look so sweet the nxt morng. Its good 2 use dried cedar 4 fire, the embers burn longer, keeps the coffee pot warm. Loved ur tent, and tiny stove, I need 2 get them. My favorite foods r canned and dried fruits/nuts, always fun 2 camp out n the forest, thanks, always fun 2 enjoy ur video. a fan 🤗

As far as the collar for Bella, we struggle with that for our Max as well. Love the no collar but we have tags with contact info in case he would wander off and not find us. He is also chipped but I always have his collar on in the bush.
Ya I hear u we have the same dilemma. Shes pretty good at staying close but it's a concern for sure for all the reasons. Sucks how a collar permanently messes up their fur. Anyway it's nice to take it off sometimes for them and us. 🍻

Hey Candice. The Woodpecker was after food. Older mature trees have grubs and bugs in them those Pileated woodpeckers eat mature forests r needed for them to survive so it's a good sign of forest health having them. And yes Bella loves finding all the critters lol she entertainments us also

Awww...Now I feel better. Just to get out in the fresh air for a bit. Northern Minnesota just had a two day blizzard. We were snow free and then got 17 inches of snow. Rain, sleet, and ice also.
