      I think its a psychological strategy to make the suspect open up. Moreover the way they react, and what they actually react helps a lot during interrogations. For example. They ask him all these twitch details and stuff, he normally answers them without even asking whats going on, is an evidence that he knows something valuable

      It's definitely about building rapport. Of course, it was all for nothing because the lead interrogator dropped the ball with the direction he took the interrogation. He basically was begging for a confession instead of trying to get it out of him naturally.

He also had a deep inferiority complex towards his brother and, based on the way he phrased it, it's possible that this was the reason for staging the murder to look like his brother did it

As you well know being a fellow JCS fan, these interrogations are designed to be psychological wars of attrition, it takes a hell of a lot of willpower and focus for the investigator to stay sharp for that long, just like the suspect. No question he assed this one up bad though and that she should've been the one taking point.

    This video should actually be presented as a case basis to fire this man. I just watched a full grown murder detective basically sit at table and go "Please, please tell the truth" for an hour.

      I think they were confident he was gonna fold because of how obvious it was he did it. Obviously the interrogator could have done a better job but everyone in the comments is acting like they’re experts on interrogation lmao.

    The brother entering near the end really puts it all into perspective. He's just lost both his parents and a brother, and another brother is the suspect. The fact he remained so composed and respectful is seriously commendable, I feel so sorry for the guy and hope he's able to live a somewhat normal life nowadays.

    Anyone in an interrogation room SAYS they watch anime and speak a bit of Japanese is a red flag watching anime itself isn’t a red flag but telling someone outside your friend group is a massive red flag. That’s like bringing up you’re a furry in a church around a bunch of kids.
