    I have owned both a 1992 Lexus SC400 and 2007 GX470. All were incredible machines. My 2015 Es300h continues the commitment to excellence that will always have me driving a Lexus. The ES300h is smooth, quiet, spacious, and easy on the pocket book. Another winner for sure.

    Spot on review! I have a 2015 Es300, and I bought it for exactly the reason you stated: luxurious, smooth, quiet, comfortable drive for commuting. I spend hours a day in the car commuting and I have never questioned the price tag of this car. I had a BMW before this car, and I enjoy my Lexus hands down more. It's the most beautiful, comfortable car to spend time in. The brakes did take a bit to get used to, but now, I think they're great too. I never come to a slam stop. It's just as smooth as the drive.
    Great review, and fair.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  6 років тому +1

      Ha! We've learned that barring any extreme car buying circumstances, going with your heart allows for more enjoyment over the span of ownership, Lukas. Sometimes the practical choice gets boring fast and makes you want to get rid of it sooner. That being said, this 300h hybrid was a nice car. Not as fun as a GS, but still a nice car. You may want to check out our review on the Avalon hybrid, too. That was another surprising experience. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/Vw1460CK61o/v-deo.html Good luck and thanks for watching!

      I'm deciding between the 300h and 350 as well, leaning towards the 350 because I've heard mixed reviews about CVT's plus I could use the extra trunk space.

    • @Scorpiomaj27889
      @Scorpiomaj27889 5 років тому

      I have the GS350, the mileage is definitely not great if you drive a lot, we've not gone of 18mpg city ever and I do believe he said this ES runs on regular gas - the GS can run more or less ok on regular, but not recommended.

    How is it a hybrid and only managing 40mpg. What's the point?

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  4 роки тому

      The 350 only averages 25-26 mpg, Chizerz. That's the difference between filling up every week and driving 1-1/2 to 2 weeks before having to stop for gas. It adds up, if only a little. Not to mention, this car is 5 years old so Lexus' hybrid tech may have improved some since then. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

Our primary focus is to make videos of cars that we experience so that others can enjoy them too. I owned a 2013 Lexus Es 300h Premium with 80k After totally my 08 g37 coupe and i absolutely hated this car. The handling was horrible. Every time i turned my wheel all the way the tires would squeel, the car was slow. Not super attractive. It got good mpgs and fancy looking dash but the annoying seatbelt beep that wont shut up (the 2020 Q50 doesnt even do that) it yells at you when you leave anything cracked or opened, seriously hated that car. Fwd on a Lexus? It was terrible. It even had a "Sport" mode option 😂😂 the cars 0-60 was 8 seconds. Get an Infiniti better cars, nicer cars, cheaper cars and more enjoyable cars.
    Im glad this car is gone.
    That EV mode wont work going over 20mph or accelerating like a normsl person.
    Dont waste your $. This car is terrible.
